They discuss her new special "Whitney Houston: This Is My Life" premeiring on television the next day, her new movie "The Bodyguard" coming out in the fall, her engagement to Bobby Brown, and how it feels to live in her new home.
She was so beautiful , sweet and talented I miss her And Aaliyah 😩
Whitney seems so vibrant and relaxed here. She probably had no idea at the time that her movie soundtrack would shatter the record books. She may be gone but never forgotten.

She is resting now. Lately I have been listening to her even more than i was before. She is Beautiful, Funny, and didnt play either. Most of all she was God's Babygirl. Would everybody shut up about the damn drugs. God damn u know how many people do drugs! She was brilliant and a legend and should be respected as one and that should be all people talk about is her greatness. Just cause shes energetic and silly doesnt mean drugs. DAYUMMM! I can remember watching this WHEN IT AIRED! Ah memories... Look how old and dated that kitchen looks by today's standards. Those appliances look ancient... LOL! Hard (and sad) to believe Whitney never updated that nice house as time went on. Literally, everything in that home is the same as it was in the 80's.
If you don´t have a food interest why put loads of money into fixing up you kitchen for a bunch of money? No, point!
Yea Whitney really wasn't a decorator, in fact when she moved into that house her father helped her decorate it because decorating wasn't her knack. Then as time went on her and Bobby moved to Atlanta and then she just kind of forgot about the New Jersey home.

@@soilgrasswaterair my goodness yes. It's a mixture of capitalistic consumer culture and just having so much money. A lot of people envision these massive houses with success etc...a simple home would have been enough because I think that big house especially during her difficult period would have only contributed to that feeling of emptiness. Material things cannot fulfil the soul and it only distracts you. I think Whitney would've been happier living the simple life. So much waste in our culture because we always feel we need more of everything. Very sad...

Who cares if she was doing drugs before or after Bobby. She lost control after Bobby that we know but regardless. I like to remember her talent, her ability to be kind and compassion about others while people were being horrible to her. Her talent was so unhumanly possible that the fact that she had flaws made her human. maybe if she wasn't put down so much and people had not made a big deal out of her personal life it wouldn't have gotten so out of control. I don't care about her drug habits.

i remember this video clip when it was new. when i was watching this with my mom (a little older than whitney), she told me whitney and bobby were two partying drug addicts. i never even thought of whitney in that way until she said that. feel horrible for their daughter
I actually think she started doing coke when she was modeling. However, her brother said he introduced her to drugs. So it could've been earlier than that.

So do I and you are so right! Even though at the end of the day, Whitney's choice of lifestyle was just that, her choice! However, like you said, the industry along with the media will wear these celebrities down and will drive them into destruction. No excuse, just a fact and they need to take some of the blame. Its just sad that Whitney was a victim of this. She was indeed great in every way despite her lifestyle and I miss and love her too!

How come 100% of people say that she was already on drugs before she met bobby brown? There is also a video documentary on youtube that shows Whitney was doing drugs before she even signed with Arista records. They also interview her drug dealers and people that she got the drugs from. So why keep blaming bobby brown? Whitney still got most of yall thinking she was sweet innocent & perfect i see. its hard for you guys to accept the real truth about who she was outside of the spotlight. smh smh
No Bobby was not to blame but they were toxic for each other. They both had struggles and they both used the same destructive habit to cope...I don't think Whitney was an angel but I think Bobby had resentment giving up his career so in general not a healthy match.
@@Stephie_L Whitney was toxic long before she met Bobby. She was on drugs MANY years before even as a late teen and early adult. That's all I'm saying. They were not good for each other I agree. But Whitney was bad for herself long before Bobby and she merely attracted to her what she already was

Yes she was on drugs way before she met her ex-husband Bobby. Many people blamed Bobby for her on drugs but the only thing he actually did that he mentioned in an interview that he regretted doing was doing the drugs with her. People in the media are shady. Even those in general but the media take things too far sometimes. So sad that a lady like her had to leave too soon but it's life tho. We all will one day. R.I.P. to her.🙏
