  • Energy Self-Sufficiency is a must in this day and age. If you don't have a plan, you are way behind. Unfortunately, that's how most people live.
I'm going to talk through three levels of energy dependence.
The first is a simple inverter that clamps onto your car battery. This option is the easiest and cheapest to get started. If it's the best you can do, it's way better than most.
We will spend most of our time today at the next level, which is the realm of generators. This AllPowers R2500 is a great entry-level solar generator for your home. It's not going to run everything, and it doesn't have the largest battery, but the AllPowers unit is pretty robust for its size.
When you add solar panels to the R2500 Power Station, you have an almost infinite amount of power to draw when you need it most.

The third level of energy self sufficiency is having a fully functioning off grid solar system, like what runs our East Texas Homestead. The EG4 6000 XP Inverters are capable of so much more. However, they are more expensive, permanent, and harder to setup.

You know what's funny? I was just thinking that I may be overdoing it. I literally thought, "Rodney is getting way more engagement on his channel. I wonder if I'm trying too hard, and it looks fake." I love how real and down-to-earth your content is. Thanks for the fun comment, Rodney!

@@EastTexasHomestead I think that each type of video has its place. More editing on reviews and less with just saying what’s on your mind on certain topics. Homesteading vids vs tech lets say. Enjoy your stuff.

I'm not an expert with panels so maybe someone else can jump in. I can tell you, though, that I purchased my panels from SanTan Solar and am happy with the service. Feel free to check them out here: www.santansolar.com/?ref=ETXHomestead (affiliate link)
