    This man is a legend in drumming. He has influenced a lot of drummers around the world for decades, and mixed metal drumming with tribal drumming. He saw beyond. This is what creativity really means. Nowadays, there are a lot of technical drummers (sometimes boring drummers), of course, but Iggor Cavalera gave an inmense change of perspective in metal.

      @@tolichichov6255 I don't think, he is not saying that this line is the hardest line ever, what he is saying is that you need creativity to make something enjoyable and simple at the same time, without being boring. Anyway, iggor got a lot of complex songs, as an example: arise, desperate cry, slave the new world.....etc.

    • @markusaurelius8807

      @@tolichichov6255 The main thing is not complexity - the main thing is how does that drum part convey the creative idea, create mood and complement other instruments. It's a kinda shamanic energetic thing. You are missing the point of art if you think the main goal and value is just technical complexity - it's all far beyond that.

      Oh, Vinnie is definitely at the top tier of metal drumming. His beats are legendary, his drum sound (just as his brother's guitar sound) is legendary, the pocket, the groove, the power. I even started naming songs, but there came a point where I was almost writing the tracklist of all the classic Pantera albums. Also, if Hetfiled is the tightest metal guitar player ever on a record, so Vinnie is the tightest drummer. That guy was a fucking machine, and still could swing like no one else. RIP Vinnie, one of the GOATs in his genre.

    I am a long-term Sepultura fan my parents would never allow me to see them live until I was an adult. I finally got a chance to see Sepultura but not until after Max left the band. The show was great but not the same. Your most recent cavalera conspiracy show in SF changed my life forever. So many of the fans in attendance felt the same, and that is they would never get a chance to see roots in its entirety. To this day that was my favorite show of all time. It was at Slim's in SF and I had seen Overkill the week before. The energy at the Cavalier show was a night and day difference from the week before. I was very heartbroken from your split, but going that night reinforced why I love the Cavalier brothers so much. Thank you so much for the reunion and bringing roots to its entirety live. If you continue on with beneath the arise tour in the US I will most definitely be there. Cool channel keep it up!

    I discovered Sepultura shortly after I started playing drums in 1994. Up til then I'd been listening to Metallica, Megadeth, just branching out into Pantera, and when I heard 'Chaos AD', the drums blew me away. I hadn't heard the rhythmic tribal drumming Iggor was playing on this album before. Toms used as percussion rather than just fills. Likewise Machine Head's 'Burn My Eyes' where Chris Kontos played the verses of 'A Nation on Fire' on toms rather than traditional snare-hi hat-kick playing. Iggor was a massive influence on me as a young drummer, and I've never failed to be impressed with his playing. I saw him and Max do the Beneath Arise show in London in the tail end of 2019, and it was just such a joy to watch Iggor playing - it literally made my heart race - something I'd waited for for a long long time. Plus, the snare sounded INSANE out there!

      Não sou contra a evolução, lógico que não, o Igor evoluiu enquanto quis evoluir, poucos foram tão influentes quanto ele, hoje o mundo tá cheio de bateristas ultra técnicos, mas quando termina a música vc não lembra de uma virada. Sei do que vc tá falando, e de quem vc tá falando, mas eu fico com o criador, o cara que criou um estilo e influenciou milhares de bateras ao longo dos anos mundo afora, o cara com a pegada inconfundível e inigualável! Hail Igor Cavalera! 🤘

    • @PeriMartins
      @PeriMartins 3 роки тому +9

      @@mjslayer não é o caso do Eloy. Eloy é um criador. É um estudioso e mantém uma tradição de bateria nacional. Evolução é tudo, pior isso esses bateristas "técnicos" que você falou também possuem identidade.

      @@mjslayer lombardo criou um estilo. Igor pegou esse estilo e colocou a musicalidade brasileira. Tem que separar o fanatismo dos fatos.

      O estilo que o Igor criou não foi o estilo tradicional do thrash, e sim o que ele passou a fazer do Chaos A.D pra frente, era disso que estava falando, alí ele criou uma coisa completamente original, e isso, querido, não é pra qualquer um! No fim das contas, é questão de gosto, prefiro um cara que soa 100% orgânico a um cara que soa parecendo um livro de teoria.

    Grande Igor, comecei a escutar os trabalhos do Sepultura em 1998 pelo álbum Roots e eu mau sabia naquela época que era um álbum bem diferenciado e ótimo de se ouvir pela sonoridade. Muito bom assistir você tocar, parece meio cansado mas é um grande baterista, espero assistir mais vídeos 👊🏼🤘🏼.

Listen to how raw these videos are. He isn't faking anything with trigger samples....Fuckityfuck, he isn't even sample blending or EQ'ing! HE'S JUST PLAYING THE DRUMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
