*Pin my Answer so that it help people decide what they need. I have used both macbook air m1 and a good ultra 5 processor windows laptop (oled). Let me clarify according to everyone's need Prefer Windows over Macbook air M1: 1. Software compatibility issue- many softwares are not designed for mac os and also software are paid, you cannot get cracked version. 2. Low storage 3. 8GB RAM obviously will be less efficient than 16GB 4. Using Heavy software will definitely heat up the device and will lag after long time of using. 5. Display is good but not better than OLED. 6. After some time you will find the need of some accessories like usb hub, external ssd. So in future you have to spend 15k-20k Rs. on that. 7. If unfortunately your device is damaged, it will cost around 20-30k for its repairing. If any of the above points don't bother you or you are ready to compromise with these then you can go with macbook air m1.

If you are a normal user, coder, editor most of the softwares are compatible and we can even use final cut pro for free, there is 90 days free trial and then you can reset it again and again :) by using some command in terminal. 2. For coders vs code runs very smoothly. 3. even if you are an intermediate user then 8gb ram is enough for you, you can use multiple programs simultaneously. 4. If your usage is basic then you didn't even notice any difference in ram whether it's 8gb or 16gb you will only see the difference when you are 4k editing/rendering multiple projects and doing multitasking simultaneously. 5. If your aim is to edit 1080 p videos believe be this device is more than enough for you. 6. I prefer IPS panel over any oled panels in the market because there is serious screen burning issue after 2,3 years, and even if it doesn't make any issue I just don't like it, there are too many reflections, and after working on an OLED panel for about 2-3 hours, I feel immense stress in my eyes so in the end it's your personal choice ! 7. NOW lets talk about battery life this is the single thing which is not comparable to any windows laptop of any segment in the budget of around 70 k rupees its outstanding and if you are a student you will me amazed! that you don't even have to carry charger for 2-3 days while going to your college. 8. see If you are a basic user then 256 gb is enough for you but even if you have to buy an external ssd after some time of using this device. I don't see it as a problem because you are already getting a lot in this budget of around 70k and the performance is identical to macbook air m2 and this one even got faster ssd speed! 9. believe me if you are not a geek or tech enthusiast who wants to install tons and tons of third party software and if you just want to have a clean premium experience then you will not regret this decision.
