Sambaby42 oh come on that is a bit harsh having seen Sophie alongside cait and with both Sam and cait she looks like she could be their daughter for real and she's doing great so far !
Michelle Flood It's not harsh. There are alot of Brianna haters that are much harsher than me. I don't hate her as Brianna but she's just all right there isn't anything special about her acting skills. This girl she is young but you feel her emotions. Sophie at times came off awkward to me. But that is my opinion.
When I first saw this girl redhead I thought wait Jamie had another kid. He then said it's not his actual kid and that there's a lot of redheads in Scottland.
Scenes like this are why I have always adored Jamie. He really is an upright man who tries good where he can. I love how he embraced Laoghaire's children as his own. The hug that Joanie gave him was precious.
He went to America because he was trying to get Ian back after Ian was kidnapped for trying to still jewelry to give to leery for a dowry for the girls
Jamie didn’t actually “bugger off” to America. He was obliged to go there to recover his kidnapped nephew young Ian. I’m hopeful in season 7 that he will have the chance to be reunited with his adopted younger daughter, who I have no doubt he loves very dearly and tenderly as his own.
ummmmmmmm, and then he moved to america with claire, fergus and marsali, and young ian.... poor joan and jenny. won't say i feel too bad for laoghaire, but still... i could see why she would think poorly of jamie.
I actually wanted Bree to burst through the door and bitch slap the heck out of Laoghaire while she was screaming at Claire. 😆 With Bree's temper it's gonna be hell for that woman.
andrue cates I don’t really understand why they included this scene. I think it was meant to soften Jamie’s image at this stage, but it detracted from the hurt he had inflicted on Claire. He had been stepfather to the girls for less than a year.
What surprises me most about all these comments is that no one seems to care about the effect this has on Laoghaire’s daughters. It’s not the adults’ fault this happened, true. But to have a father - and Jaime clearly tried to be their father - and see him in love with someone other than your mother...that hurts to a child.
Olive McIntosh She had a bit of a rough childhood. If you meet someone you start to see as a father figure and reliable and you trust them and then suddenly the are not people get upset.
All the child actors in this series are absolutely magnificent everyone of them
Rosi Del yep agree there right from wee jamie in season 1 to young Ian ( john bell ) and the others in between .
This is wee Joanie who those book readers will recognise as the one who becomes a nun in echo in the bone
I agree! She's a better actor than Sophie Skelton (Brianna) that's for sure.

That little girl Joan, her look of disappointment really breaks my heart. Just want to give her a hug and tell her everything is going to be alright.
I love this heart to heart with Joan. It really shows Jamie's compassion, caring and commitment to those two girls though not his own children.

He should've taken her with him when he left for America. Jamie is more of a real parent to Joan & her sister than their own mother is.
I’m kind of upset that he broke his promise to Joanie. He still left her at the end to go to America. Hopefully she will join him and her sister soon.
He went to America because he was trying to get Ian back after Ian was kidnapped for trying to still jewelry to give to leery for a dowry for the girls
"I'll always look after ye" then buggers off to america 😂

It does break my heart sometimes that Jamie was constantly robbed of the chance to raise a child.
It breaks my heart ALL the time everytime Jamie gets robbed of having the chance to raise children. 💔
The little girl has done a great job!

The whole cast is magnificent right from the first episode...
yikes1111awake
I agree. Same with Fergus actor to.
agree Rosi, they are precious. This young Lassy is precious and when she hugs Sam. oh it melts my heart.
Completely agree.
Quel gentil papa tu fais Jamie très patient aussi je trouve que les enfants sont bien choisis 🌻🌻
That little girl is so beautiful.
Joan is supposed to be much older and closer in age to her sister
I wonder if they’ll ever bring Brianna to this time and see what happens.
M.a.c Casas read the books! 😂
M.a.c Casas
Mabye by end of season 3 she goes tru the Stone and returns with her mother and Jamie in season 4.
I actually wanted Bree to burst through the door and bitch slap the heck out of Laoghaire while she was screaming at Claire. 😆 With Bree's temper it's gonna be hell for that woman.
I agree as well especially since Bree inherited Jamie's temper.
Caitlin Lopez Yeah. 👍 When Claire is angry she still has that gentleness in her. Bree is all Fraser in that department. 😆
Oh Jamie you married the trick that tried to kill Claire. Take your dancing daughters an shove it
yup bree is his daughter not this one
Jamie lost Claire, three children, Murtaugh, his friends, his name, his land and his freedom in those years. He needed the love of Marsali and Joan.
@@liol3409 three children?
Effy Smolderholder Faith, Brianna and William.
In the book, Jamie did not know about Lougharie(sp) trying to kill Claire.
You can tell that little girl is both angry and confused.

@@TheWchurchill4pm Completely agree with you. That kind of uncertainty and instability cannot be good for the children.
papa is a rolling stone...!
I actually found this scene really irritating. He was a stepfather who lived with them for less than a year. It just didn't ring true.
She saw him as her father because he was a good man who loved her. Of all the people in this situation, I felt most sorry for little Joan.
Olive McIntosh She had a bit of a rough childhood. If you meet someone you start to see as a father figure and reliable and you trust them and then suddenly the are not people get upset.
Brilliantly played.
Yeah that's an understatement the marriage was a sham from the word go if you can even call it a marriage I surely don't
YUP
Just thought about how this conversation might have lead to Joan helping bree escape in season 4, cuz of Jamie's love for the girls!
Joan was in ln my class once
Someone hand me the tissues 😢
Sam is good with kids
TO ALL HATERS I LOVE MY BRIANNA SHE HAS FIRE LIKE HER DAD
🙌
Who is the father to Laoghoaries children?
her first husband
Her second husband.
