    Wow just watched your video on this amazing motorhome & this literally is the perfect layout & its great to see someone who shows you everything you need to know about how the layout works ie the passenger seats, the beds how you drop them down & you just generally sitting down & showing us how much room you have ie in the lounge area you just sitting or really laying down on the sofa as you would at home!! Great review indeed!!👌🏻 Regards Dave...👍🏻

    I went to look at these over the weekend I was really impressed with the layout and general feel of all 3 Motorhomes in the Adamo range.
    I think what we viewed were prototypes or pre production models and were not without glitches.
    dealing with the 745dl there were IMHO things that will probably be ironed out like the seat cushions did seem a bit thin and wimpy they will get tired and saggy soon, the cushions on the lower alliance and upmarket autograph 3 are sprung and on both other models they are much more plump and comfy a more luxurious feel if you will. some of the silver trims on the door cabinets were peeling off already ,the rear lounge tv bracket is mounted quite high and as you are sat quite close in the rear lounge you are looking up at quite a high angle and the top of the tv will be no doubt obscured by the rear drop down bed , but it will be fine if watching the tv in bed on the lowered bed. In the DL bathroom the toilet seat lid will only lift fully when the toilet is straight if you are a six footer there will be very littlle knee room if you sit on the loo and if you turned it on an angle the lid cannot open properly and the lid digs into your back if the shelf was made more flush the lid could open better
    General finishes cupboards lining up etc could have been better
    There were no remis type cab blinds only an old fashioned flimsy curtain..
    Blinds seem to be pretty much standard these days on all but the very basic models,they are on the alliance which is a level below this as is a wind out awning but from what I can gather there is not a lot of payload to play about with on the DL
    All that said the 745dl would suit us down to the ground it is a fantastic layout and would work for us we are really considering ordering one
    Look, these are very minor gripes all in all and most Motorhomes have their own idiosyncrasies but maybe a few little tweaks and all these little ergonomic glitches could be sorted out, feedback I hope is important to the manufacturer
    Also I understand these vehicles are prototypes and have been sent round to the dealers around the country to view and take orders off so they will have been abused a bit and pushed pulled and trampled in.
    The island bed model was nice I liked the lounge and bathroom /toilet arrangement but the bedroom itself is unworkable in my opinion
    When the bed is fully extended it is far too high and there is about 3”to get round at the foot of the bed and this is above belly button height and you cannot get past the foot of the. bed and access the steps to get in the bed at the side if the bed is fully extended you would have to go to bed at the same time and then extend the bed and if in the middle of the night one half wanted to get up then you would have to get to the end and lower yourself and climb back up a 4ft drop which totally defeats the purpose of an island bed. I was told that the height is going to be decreased in production models
    On the plus sides again fridge cooker washroom toilet arrangements and general ergonomics they work great just the bed arrangement.
    The 69-4 was just skipped over by us as it was not what we were looking at but looked and felt a really nice motorhome lovely big garage
    A real big plus point are the drop down beds these drop down all the way to a really low level and are a breeze to get in and out and can be raised away with bedding on minus pillows of course they are very comfortable as well 10 out of 10 for the drop down beds
    The transit chassis looks really nice both inside and out I have only had Ducato/boxer chassis vehicles before so an automatic transit would be a departure from the norm so I can’t comment constructively on that.
    Pricing points I am sure will sort themselves out they are mid range of the three ie alliance then Adamo and top of the range autograph and what I see at the minute is an alliance type specification with an autograph price tag add cab blinds and a wind out awning which are standard on the other two ranges and you will be up there with the autographs
    All I can say is go and have a look I was well impressed with the layout of the 745dl

      Yes the new Adamo brings a welcome new range to the UK market, especially as it has an auto gearbox as standard and layouts we rarely see from a British manufacturer. It's worth noting that Bailey is targetting the hire market with its Adamo so, if you're not sure it is right for you, it would be worth renting one for the weekend first.

      The glitches and poor quality you saw are pretty typical of Bailey motor homes. I’ve got a 745 Autograph and was shocked at the poor quality of a lot of things, especially in such high priced vehicles these days
      An auto box though on a MH, love that idea

    I'm a little new to all this (but vaguely thinking about living in a motorhome full time). So this model comes with a 110AH leisure battery. I can't find anything on your website about inverters however. Does this van have an inverter for 230V power? I assume it does as there are 3 pin plugs throughout the motorhome, or do the 230 plugs just work when you're hooked up to shore power. If there is an inverter, how powerful is it?

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  3 роки тому

      No it doesn't come as an inverter as standard. The 230V sockets are for use when you are on hook-up at a campsite. You can get an aftermarket inverter and we reconmend only pure sine-wave inverters but, depending on what you use, you can drain your battery very quickly with an inverter. 230V hair driers and kettles are not advised! You have to ask yourself if you really need 230V equipment in a motorhome.
      If you want more power so you can tour for longer away from hook-up you can add lithium batteries and extra solar panels on the roof. We have a webinar coming up that covers this if you're interested. This is the link to register - zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_AIvr8896RDm5ZCA6v15E4w

      @@MotorhomeCampervan I would often not be using a hookup and would be needing to use a powerful computer for significant amounts of time. I am a film professional that is interested in living full time in a motor home. When on a film set for 6 weeks, I'd be great to just bring my home with me. This is the best motorhome I've seen layoutwise for me (I'd be turning the rear lounge into an office (so would probably remove the rear roof bed to save weight) so I'm just learning about battery options/inverters/solar panels at the moment. Using some guesswork I'm assuming the leisure batter is currently under the sofa in the left side front lounge (near the external hook up socket)?
      My vague plan in my head is to remove the fold away travel seat from that side and put something like 4/6 lithium batteries there and then run a 2000w pure sine inverter to the rear (or putting the inverter by the batteries. I assume then I could just significantly upgrade the solar panels (to something more like 200 to 400 watts). I'm just conceptualising at the moment :D

    We have put a deposit down for one but are unable to even view not just because of lockdown. There appears to be a real shortage of demo models with Bailey seemingly just fulfilling existing orders. Managed to view the 69-4 so have an idea. My guess is these will be flying out of the dealers.

    What is the total weight of this motorhome, I know its 3500kgs but what is the motorhome weight? Thanks Tim

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  3 роки тому

      Yes it is on a 3,500kg chassis so that is its maximum weight and it has a payload of 340kg, so its Mass in Running Order is 3,160kg (with fuel at 90% full, driver weighing 75kg and one gas bottle at 14kg included).

    What would be the American version of this?

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  3 роки тому +1

      Bailey does not export to the US so unfortunately for our cousins over the pond, they can't buy these. That said there are some European 'vans (or certainly van conversions built to European styles) on the US market but, as a generalisation, US buyers do prefer much larger RVs.
