Thank you for letting us across the pond know what the zone requirement is.

Thank you for this great video on your new tree. What a beautiful tree it is. And lots of great advice on each tree you have planted so far.

Beautiful tree. Your topics and videos are well done. Suggestion to remind folks to plant a little high when adding soil to the bottom of the planting hole as the soil will settle, dropping the root ball deeper than it needs to be.

Hi there! I just planted a Kousa China Girl last fall. I have great hopes for it. I have a black walnut that is coming down in the Spring. I need to replace it with something deciduous, great fall colour, single trunk and neater. Black Walnuts are the messiest and the jugalone(sp?) is causing me issues everywhere in the back garden. This tree you are planting is going on the list of replacements.

Have just planted "Vanessa" myself but am expecting it to grow significantly wider than 1.5 - 2m. Burncoose, for example, say 4m, and others say even more. I believe "Persian Spire" might be the narrowest of the Parrotia cultivars.

Yes, different sources say different things, RHS says 2.5-4m, the recently published Tree Selection Guide says 1.5-2m, other internet searches say 3-6m. Guess we’ll just have to see which is right but I hope it doesn’t get too wide!
