Thanks for the really great comparison of all of these Authentics! I am so surprised that New Zealand has such a thriving bluegrass and vintage guitar market. I'm from the Southern US states and obviously country and bluegrass is big where I am from, but I never thought I would see so many beautiful Martin's half way around the world! By the way, I think I preferred that 06 and 07 over the OG 37! It's crazy how good those Authentics are!
I think I've decided on the Martin D-18 Authentic 1937... finally! All due to the wider bridge string spacing of 2 1/4" at the saddle! Nick, do you notice and feel the subtle difference of the spacings? Like the Authentic 1937 versus 1939 (at 2 1/8").
Outstanding choice! one of Martins finest efforts. I certainly notice with fingerpicking from guitar to guitar, not always so immediate with a flat-pick at this point. I'll have a comparison play between the 37 and 39 and let you know
@@studio1vintageguitars I really appreciate the honest help. You are very gifted. Your determination will certainly aid my ultimate conclusion... Martin Authentic 1937 D-18!
