+BrainPolice5 thank you, always happy to get comments like this! Just posted a new one not long ago, been dying to cover Over the Mountain. Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/_inob79S88E/v-deo.html
Thanks so much! I felt a little guilty about altering the original, but I had to stick with the parts that resonated most. Please share with your friends, and you might like my other Ozzy tune here: ua-cam.com/video/_inob79S88E/v-deo.html
Dude I came up on this shit so hard my mom would read Sab lyrics to me for bedtime stories!!! Lol. You were true here bro!! N I can smell posers miles away...perhaps the best compliment I can come up with is you did it justice!! I will check anything out you post...ROCK. ON.
Hey Jeff. UA-cam erased my account and then gave it back (no idea why...) and I wanted to let you know I'm still listening to the best cover of Black Sabbath I have heard. I am a high school counselor and my kids (students) love it. Please keep rocking and mad respect to your dad. I lost my poppa on May 30 of this year and I know your pain.
Hey there, well...wow. Thanks so much for this message, which comes not too long after my dad passed away this past Nov. When I dedicated this to him, he was undergoing a pretty terrifying operation, which gave us another 9 years with him that we may have otherwise not had. I'm very sorry for your loss, too - losing my father has, of course, changed my life. He was a high school special ed teacher for 35 years, and a pro sax player. He would be proud to know that my cover of this deep, epic tune was being shared with your students...and that it was well-received. Thanks so much for sharing that, too.
hes not supposed sound like Ozzy. that would be bad. the ideal purpose of a cover is a band's or an artist's rendition of the song - their take on it that makes it uniquely theirs.... to me hes trying to sound like Ozzy and that discredits the effort a bit. he should just sing as he would normally - his own personality in the vocals.
Thanks to all for the comments - so far this is my most viewed UA-cam vid, and every time one of you Sabbath fans tells me it's a worthy version my inner Ozzy does a frog jump! \m/ RAWK \m/
Creamy, juicy, toasty.... you can feel the energy! Fantastic cover. I rarely hear a worthy Sabbath Cover. Color me impressed. Love the solo improv! Drums are tight. Cheers mate!
Great cover.... I think you have to study better the vocals.... I know its too hard to sing like 1974 Ozzy but you can... for sure... Generally the result is great!
oh ok ill try that . I found c# f# b e g# c# as well. your video is put together awesome. hanging out down here with jimi james h. an were rocking it! thanks for the reply bud!
Pitch is great, and the music is spot on. If you only you didn't rush the vocals on occasion. Sit in the pocket more and you will have the BEST cover of ANA.
Outstanding! About the drums.. Is that you or a sample? Either way, This is now at the top my play list.Thank you for leaving out the Cheezy solo the original has at 4:50. The Baddest Riff ever and they close with that? What the hell were they thinking??
+Optic Nerve thank you! I try not to question the Sabbath wisdom, but I never liked the outro section either:) I programmed the drums in Reason, but my friend who mixed it did a great job tweaking them to give the whole thing a bit of Bill Ward feel. Glad you enjoyed.
Great to see a great cover of a classic Ozzy Sabbath track only true Sabbath fans would recognise. I'd love to see him also cover spiral architect from the same album.
Jeff Miller two spots. first spot. After the first four notes (c#?), but just before what is the fifth that you play, there is a missed note (should be the same as the 6th note, I think another c#). It's usually not shown in tab, but it's there in the original. second spot, next part of the verse, where there's a b, then 4 c#, there is another note (I think another b), before jumping to the d string. I've never seen either on tab, but I can hear the difference between the album, and other people playing it. very minor stuff though. Great job. Best cover I've heard so far to be honest.
Temazo de sabbath
.muy aceptable esta version

🖤
I'm back after having heard this year's ago. Really great cover. Love the translation of the to riff. The pull off has swaggar.
Seriously excellent. I like how you removed that fast tempo part from the original and extended the solo and made it yours. Fantastic.

I have to agree. I always thought the ending of the original did damage to the rest of the song. I like how you ended it. Bravo!!
Outstanding job. This is one of my favorite "forgotten" Sabbath tunes. Really top flight stuff ... thank you.
Damn this is actually really good well done
You killed it dude, awesome cover!
Great Job Jeff, always been a Tommy Iommi fan. Keep up the good jammin !
+Arturo Garcia thank you - glad you enjoyed it!

That riff is not catchy ,its haunting
Doesn't sound exactly like Ozzy, but the vocals work perfectly with this song. That's something that couldn't be done on the Metallica Cover

Ozzy doesnt have a great voice on this one song. Theres so much room to improvise here. You missed your chance. Guitar did good here.

Great performance......now explain the lyrics!!!! ;)
Pretty sure it's about birth, possibly riffing on a more cosmic version of immaculate conception...the musings of the unborn soul.

Thanks again, dude!
I listen to this nearly everyday! Such an awesome cover, of such an awesome song. Rock on Jeff!
I was almost convinced that was Iommi's guitar when it first started. Amazing cover.
Thank you!
Great to see a great cover of a classic Ozzy Sabbath track only true Sabbath fans would recognise. I'd love to see him also cover spiral architect from the same album.

A couple of dropped notes on the guitar and bass, but almost everyone does that for some reason.
Not bad.

O where would I be without you to help point out my dropped notes THANK YOU!
