Will try this if available, I'm posted in naxalite area so very poor network connectivity.
Nope, it's not SpaceX's Starlink. It's just a hotspot device on steroids!
😅
Real 😭
😂
Yea just turn on hotspot on a 5g phone.
True
The fibre connections are usually given to societies where they have enough customers. This breaks that barrier. It doesn't matter if there are other Airtel customers or not in my building, I can just buy this and start using it. Plus if I move around a lot, I could just carry the router with me without having to setup a new connection
Oh great, for these many days you don’t know a hotspot device🤣🤣
@@radhamanohar2307 which hotspot device offers ,3.3 TB data for 799 RS ?????
Unfortunately it also means that Wifi6 channels which were relatively free of interference so far will get crowded just like 2.4 and 5 GHz.
@@radhamanohar2307Are you brain damaged? this is an alternative for Broadband connection not Mobile Data hotspot 😂.
Yes and if the have Airtle DTH and phone service with it along with Airtle Black, this is too powerful
When i was in saudi I used to carry the miniature version of this having 5G. which I find quite useful to connet multiple devices at the same time. and the speed was not limited to 100 there, thats a catch. I was getting 600+ speed with unlimited 5G. Its actually happening in India. I think this is a cool idea to implement here. I hope 5G will be available soon everywhere.
Those are available in India as well. They go by the name of dongle or hotspot. They used to be very popular at one point but they seem to have been rendered redundant with the abundance of cheap 4G/5G data plans which allow people to simply turn their phones into a hotspot and connect multiple devices to it. This AirFiber device is however meant to give WiFi coverage to an entire household with always on multiple devices connected.
What was the monthly plan cost in INR ??
@adityakar4483 yea.. but there was no unlimited plans like this in an affordable rate.
@yashchaudhariyc if u compare the living costs, it's okay okay. It's like using 1500 per month for an unlimited plan.
Just launched after 2022 but I think fast cover all country . Maybe 30 to 40% country all ready
hi @beebomco, may you please let me know which application you have used for animation for marking ports and LEDs in the video? Thanks.
I would have been happy if they added RJ-11 normal telephone port too with unlimited calling. Anyone from airtel, please see if this feature can be implemented.
Okay sure
Isn't Wi-Fi calling already a thing?
@@alok.01 wifi calling uses mobile plan

Useful content. Living in Mumbai and no fiber connection is here thank you for covering all points is short time
@beebom was there any packet drop issue with this device, wnat to understand FWA vs mobile wireless connection??
Is there any additional antenna that must be installed with Airfiber. Or Can we take wherever we go and use like plug and play method. Please reply
This is the best channel in my life. I never seen before like this channel. I want to know about products, but I can't hear UA-camr voice, causes I'm deaf. But this channel put Telugu subtitles and I read easily 😊, thank you so much bro❤
I live in Maharashtra in an area where although fiber connection is already there (thanks to BharatNet initiative of the govt) but only for public institutions like Gram Panchayat and so on. Another thing is our village has an Airtel tower with only 4G capability.
For long, I tried to get the fiber connection but could not. This would be a good opportunity for telecom companies to extend the last mile connectivity because if they could equip their current network towers with 5G connectivity then they don't have to laid down the Optical Fiber cables underground and can still provide the fast internet connectivity in the rural areas at much cheaper cost. The two things they should always remember to make it successful is that the price of their Air Fiber plans should be same as that of the actual fiber plans and the data limit should also be the same as the fiber plan. Of course the speed of AirFiber will never be as good as the actual fiber cable speed but still in the same price customers in the dark patches of the fiber connection can avail good internet connectivity without having the presence of OFC network in their area.
Is there any power backup for this?
Means when power goes will it work sometime or completely power dependent like wifi device ?
so its a portable device that u can place anywhere, what is the installation fees for? coming to ur home to unbox it and insert sim card??
I think adding a big antenna outside which connects to the satellite or other far off towers would be a great addition
JioAirfiber is doing that.
Yes, This will be a boon to me and the people who live in my area. Since I live in a town that's across a river, The Airtel or Jio doesn't want to give me internet, whereas the people across the river have internet service by both. But using this to their advantages many small ISPs are giving fiber buy getting lines from a city that is 50Kms far. Since they buy multiple connections (From Airtel and Jio) . The problem with these services is they are not reliable like Airtel or Jio.
This is a device with Sim using regular 4G/5G towers. This makes no differences in areas where 4G/5G services are not available.
I have good 5G service in my area, I live in a city with 5G coverage, just that am across the river. And competition is always healthy for consumers.@@ram62836
Bro... starlink type services are best for your situation because - reliability is good, esp. more in hilly areas. Starlink should launch in India. Reg. the setup you said - that's only option now - like those peoplelease and give. This 5g thing wont help you because RJIO has to first setup 5g towers - which they don't do. So, look for alternatives like starlink. Also, another option is - to get your town administration to do the line leasing / 5g tower and ensure quality (fixing in case line broken etc). Most time these are possible, but they don't want to do because they know there are no alternatives. So do push for them , write to PMO etc.
Does it support 2.4 GHz band ? For connecting smart devices?
Does it have emergency battery backup inbuilt?
Looks really good to me. Both airtel and jio lines have passed very close to my house but not on my street. So this suits me, specially considering price.
Heard from a jio salesman that their jio air is also launching very soon and is currently under testing at their own offices.
Expected to launch on 28th Aug 23
problem with Jio is their 5G is still not available in tier 3 cities while Airtel 5G is now available in my Village

@@advaitijio is available more than airtel in small cities
Is it chargeable? Wt happens when power cut?
hello idh much idea about tech, but i live in village where idh wifi connection, if i buy this thing will i get good ms during games??? 5g airtel is available here but my device is not 5g
It feels more of like upgraded version of dongle & jiofi device that was initially there 2-3 years ago with new tech.
It could have been great if it has an outdoor antenna. Cause in in low band 5g network the speeds don't cross 20-30mbps most of the time. And the high speed band can't reach the indoors in most of the places even in the cities. With an outdoor antenna it can give 100 mbps connection in most parts of the country. I think that's what jio is trying to do
Can we use as router if in case i have old fiber connection?
So can i use this outside of ncr and mumbai if airtel 5g is avaliable?? Pls help
3.3 TB data makes it completely different from Hotspot which few duffos are mentioning in the comment .
My area has excellent 5G connection but no fiber connections are available at all. I think if it comes with lower mbps plan (lower cost), I will consider buying one 😅
How is it different from a standard WiFi router ?
Can we take this AirFiber box anywhere we go, just like a wireless dongle (provided an AC power is needed)?
Eg :- I am taking this connection from Kerala. I need to go to Bangalore or Chennai for 3 months. Can I unplug the box, take it to my room in Bangalore or Chennai, plug it to power and work as it did in my home in Kerala?
At my house no fibre connection reaches. So we usually use mobile hotspot for smart home devices. Recently 5G was made available with speed ~25 mbps. Not fast but way better than 4G. So to get a wifi connection with unlimited internet at ₹799 is a pretty good deal for us.
@Jerome-mc7ij I want to become a God myself even if it takes 100 billion years to become one…you should also do meditation daily so that your soul doesn’t vanish into nothing after dying…Take Care my fellow sage ✌️
The main problem with AirFiber is that it can never give you pings and latency close to a fiber connection. They'll fluctuate and will be a lil high compared to a wired connection (same goes for speeds) AirFiber is a wannabe Starlink and a fancy replacement of mobile hotspot at best.
It can be good for rural areas where fiber availability is limited but right now even mobile data users are getting unlimited 5G so i don't see the point of it now.
It might make a little sense when unlimited 5G mobile data is not available anymore.
i have been in a situation where i had to rely on a hotspot for all my needs at home. the problem is that i had to keep the hotspot on all the time and it fucked my phones battery cause 5g is a power hungry network and the hotspot usage on top of that generates heat. this device just adds a little convenience and always ready to connect network. definitely doesn't worth the price tho but i mean if someone is considering this they don't have any other choice.
you are right, i work in oman , i am technician for same air fiber for three years , believe me it is not good at all. you will get download speeds but not stable.
abey isme 3.3 tb milega per month ..isiliye 799 ka recharge kara rhe hai
Mobile users are getting unlimited 5G. How ? Which plan ? I hope you don't mean that after exhaustion of data limit, the speed decreases but one still get the internet connection
@@cloud_1216 in India, most of the plans are offering unlimited 5G..
Please answer @Beebom :-
If I get it at my 5G covered place and later if I take it with me to my 5G covered office or 5G covered friend’s place like 20-30 kms away. Will it still work ?
Basically is it restricted to a geographical location ??
Can we use 5g sim in HUAWEI 5G CPE ? i know its not available in india but if we buy or import it ..will it work?
I remember using tikona internet ages ago. it was truly wireless router requiring only a pocket connection, revolutionary on paper. However the catch was you cannot keep it in interior of house, it had to be kept near window, I remember keeping it literally outside the window to get good reception. Plus, good luck when it rains.
@Jerome-mc7ij gaali sunke manega ya chup chup nikal jayega
The only fiber in my area is from BSNL and while the speeds are good, they face frequent disruptions. I need this so bad
Yes same 🥹
I live in Mumbai and I recently purchased a WiFi 6 router TP-Link AX1500 for 3499 and got a new internet connection of “Mach1 internet” of a yearly plan of 200 MBPS Optic Fiber for 5650(including gst) so my total cost is 9149 which is substantially low than the proportionate 1 year cost of Airtel Air fiber.
And Mach1 doesn’t have a cap on the data per month unlike Airtel air fiber .
Airtel has got 1800/2100/2300 MHz frequency bands for their 5G network. Whereas, Jio is using Reliance Communication's 850 MHz frequency band which is far more efficient than the bands that Airtel has. So, you may (may not also if they too surprise you negatively by not providing coverage in your area) find it more useful to shift to Jio once they launch it commercially in a few more days.
What's amazing is the 3.3TB cap, its a game changer imo. Mobile data has always had limited and expensive data caps unlike wired fiber. I would get this after 2 years when 5G towers increase here
And i think airtel did this because they predicted that Jio will do it, so they better do it early lol
@Jerome-mc7ijFO
I thought the cost per byte transfer was expensive over the air. This model proves it wrong... why the hell they charge like 899 for 2 GB daily limit on mobiles 😢
Dude jio gives free 5G network, and those reach a speed of 600-800 mbps
@@sid7770 it's free only until it goes mainstream, similar to how companies give their product for free during beta period
I used to live in an area where Airtel Fibre was available, and boy I was happy with it 15MB was just that easy. Now, that I've moved from there to Mumbai there is my society which doesn't allow Fibre connection from mainstream companies such as Airtel and Jio instead I have to outsource them via my local provider which is really horrible. The speeds are bad, the fluctuations are too much and the ping is through the roof. I play Fortnite and I face so many issues that it's annoying. But I doubt investing in this would solve my problem or not
Invest on air fibers when it will connect air fibers through fiber from your roof point.
Jio will launch it later this month!
But Jio gaming ping is not good even in fiber broadband. Still I think, it will be better than local ISPs
So i am waiting for Airtel! But they haven't fiberised 10gbps backhaul everywhere! So God knows!
What the hell the society is doing? Why not allow fiber internet?

I would buy it even if i have a fiber connection available in my area. I move a lot and portability is the main selling point for me.
@Jerome-mc7ij i already know about it no need to explain
The issue is that Airtel Fiber will work only if there is an Airtel 5G coverage in the area where AirFiber is installed Also a direct line of sight to Airtel 5G modem (usually installed on poles near roads/ towers) will greatly improve signal and minimise disturbance.
Bro if You get Unlimited data and device even work at 4G (if 5G is not Available) nd ur getting speed of 25-30 Mbps..its still worth to buy this....100-150mbps speeds are just numbers 25-30 mbps is enough for everytask you do...
Which means it is of limited use
I am the one among the people who you mentioned. I am in Pune but few areas have Wi-Fi where I previously stayed. Recently I changed my house and searched for WiFi providers for 1 month. I still cannot get one. This is the one which I am searching for, hope it comes soon in many cities.
I live in village, here internet connection is very slow, i tired Jio, Airtel & VI but speed is very low & here no any broadband connection.
Is there any way to get good internet speed?
I was excited about this but as soon as I saw it's only in Delhi and Mumbai, I was like but there's already broadband providers there. I live in rural part of Darbhanga, Bihar and if it was available it would have been such a life saver as we get full network of 5g on first floor and the plan prices are also good. But I guess I'll have to wait.
Since you get 5G signals, maybe get the AirFiber device from either Mumbai or Delhi and technically - it should work even though it is not locally purchase-able at the moment...
It will launch soon in All india

How about taking this device along with you when you travel like traveling to different state. Does this work at that time? It should be as it relies on 5G signal.

Yes , I live in Cantonment military restricted area where there are not allowing fiber connection great to see if this device comes to my city Jabalpur!!
I live in ghaziabad and I use xtreme fiber and set top box which is way way better than jio... jio needs ott apps subscription to run channels like sony, star, zee where as airtel is handy since we don't need additional subscription. The fiber is also upto the mark airtel is enhancing customer experience while jio is mainly focusing on price reduction. This air fiber will be useful once entire country gets good 5G similar to what happend with 4G but I don't think the plans will remain cheaper...
I am using jio fiber and his jio box and i got subscriptions with the fiber plan so i dont know what you are talking about when airtel fiber is the same they also provide subscriptions with their wifi plans
Yes, and airtel is PING king...jio isn't even close! But i like their offers.
Personally, the jio fibre has worked great for me. I haven't tried Airtel fibre but maybe it's region dependent. Also, i had the white colour wifi router that was supplied by jio during testing. Maybe that makes the difference.
If an area has 5G connection, I'm pretty sure they have access to fiber connection as well. Why do they need this product when normal fiber connection is far better and reliable?
Jio and Airtel xstream are not available in many areas. The network is growing but a lot of work still needs to be done. My area recently got Airtel xstream fiber connectivity 6 months back and Jio not yet available.
Dont underestimate paving fiber to the last mile
In Mumbai our area, sim network problem, and also fiber not available in area. What to do 😢😢😢
So will it work on a place with almost no network speed?I mean a place where you hardly get some network bars to call🤔
So if there is already 5g network then why this device is needed in the first place?
same que😂. i think when they will end unlimted 5g then it will be useful. so by thi we can conclude that will will never get unlimted 5g🙂
Fiber from roof to room, can give speed upto gbps.... probably jio will launch it! Later airtel too.
These wirless are basically a better sim version!
BUT ONE THING, IN BROADBAND CONNECTIONS...local vendors, fiber cuts are pain in the ass!
Specially where Jio, airtel aren't available!
There, air fiber can make peace!❤
How is it different from running hotspot on a 5G enabled device?
The answer is to incorporate an antenna port and on the device and then offer high quality (pole mounted) directional antennas which can then be fixed to a building at roof level. I’ve been searching for this, but haven’t found it in india yet.
Meanwhile jio 5g with 239 rupees : 🚬🗿
If you are wondering what speeds I get, it's 1 gbps (gigabits)
One point to note is that the up and down is not 1:1 whereas in a fibre connection you get 1:1 so if possible always prefer fibre.
This is not a fiber replacement, this is alternate.
Is the speed shown is in mega bits or mega bytes?
If any area don't have fiber net means it will also not have a good 5G connection. how this will full fill user needs? ( City's & Towns have Good 5G & Fiber but Rural areas will not have good 5G or Fiber)
