The symbol is the Delta symbol. If you look at where it where it shows the Flaffy, you'll see the symbol around it. It's back from 2006 when the Delta mechanic was a big part of the game. All the Delta Pokemon were different types than they normally would have been this why the Ampharos was colorless instead of the usual Lightning.
Boogie did you notice that the Amoharos you pulled was NOT an electric type? It is a Delta species Pokémon because it is a different type than normal. Things like fire type Gardevoir and Steel type Raichu were a thing back in 2006

It's called the EX series. These sets had the first Pokemon ex cards (which were extremely rare). These sets have cards from Gen 1 to 3. Pretty much my youth.

Your Ledian card with the double White Star Sign is from the Neo Base Set aka known as the Neo Genesis set... that came out way back when Gen 2 Pokémon came out and had Lugias first appearance as a set card with a Fire,Water and Lightning energy attack. I believe that set came out in 2000 or 2001
i have a feeling these mystery boxes are probably collections of damaged out boxes that couldn't be placed back on the shelves. so it's a smart marketing way of reselling loose cards that would otherwise be thrown out.

I still have an unopened 1st edition Fossil box of boost packs :D I got that and one that was not 1st edition. I used the non-1st edition box to play with, and never opened the 1st edition box...one of my best birthday presents I ever got.
Don't know enough about competitive to know the value, but if you have a kid I'd say that'd be a nice value. Some guaranteed foils, and EXs, plus the oversized exs and some interesting older cards.. sounds better than spending 20 bucks on boosters to have your kids pull nothing and be disappointed.

That Ampharos you pulled is what's known as a Delta Pokemon. Normally Ampharos in an Electric type, but because the one you pulled is a Delta Ampharos it has been changed to a different type (a Normal type, in this case). These type of cards were only available in 4th Gen sets. If you look at the top of the card, it should have the "Delta Pokemon" title with the symbol next to it.

from what I'm told those boxes are the store's why of making back money from theft. Like if they find opened packs left behind by thieves or catch someone in the act and make them return what they stole, obviously they can't sell opened packs so they put the cards in a box with a few random packs and sell it as a "special" thing to make back the money.This obviously results in a chance for getting some really rare cards in them or alternatively complete trash because the store doesn't really care about the card's individual value they only want to make some money off them to reduce their losses. Thus why the contents seem so very random and all over the place.

The Magnemite is from a REALLY early pack going back around 16 years. From a set called Gym Heroes.
