Blönduós is pronounced: [blUHn-douws] You got that right, just a slight accent!
Varmahlíð Is Pronounced: [Varma-Hleeth]
The Ðð letter (Eth) is pronounced like the "Th" sound in English in words like "This". Not like an "o"
While the Þþ letter (Thorn) is pronounced like the "Th" sound in words like "Thing"
Do you notice the difference between "Thing" and This" that is basically "Þing" and "ðis"
You Pronounced "Borgarnes" Very well!!! Good job
Reykjavík is Pronounced more like [RAY-kyah-veek]
Keflavík is supposed to be pronounced like you did, but in my Reykjavík accent I say: [Kebb-la-veek] The F sometimes sound like a very weak B

Looking at the editing I'm still not quite sure how I got over the speed limit there. Definitely fund-raising speed trap. :)

Fun times with Icelandic! I've got more homework to do as well, from Marino Moons. I think we should do this in every country. It's awesome that we have someone watching from Iceland. :)
@@ZillaBlitzPC I know the names of very capital for each country in europe, and there strange ones too. Slovenia is Ljubljana, North Macedonia is Skopje and Moldova is Chisinau, while all the others are basically how they are sounded out, even Iceland's! Funny right?
Yep. I'll be getting the new DLC. Finishing up in Scandinavia, and then will drive down to it, hopefully in time for the release. Really excited for this myself. First new DLC whilst playing the game!

ProMods actually just announced that they're doing some development work in Nuuk, Greenland! It's still early so no idea when it'll be added, but that's super cool.
Oh, that's good to know about Greenland, that sounds like great fun. I'm just amazed at the work they've put into this.

@@ZillaBlitzPC Did you know that most people get a certain fact wrong? If you ask this question which country is in Asia and Europe between Russia and Turkey? The most common answer is Russia is in Asia and Turkey is Europe. However that Answer is 100% incorrect. It actually depends on the percentage of where the population lives. 65% of Russians live west of the Ural mountains which crosses the entire country ending at the Black Sea makes Russia Europe even though 75% of it's land is in Asia. Turkey is Asia because 55% live west of the channel that connects the Black Sea to the Mediteranea Sea. that means Cyprus is also Asia( it the island that is shape like a guitar
@@ZillaBlitzPC Road work Zone Speeding Violation is what got you. You must remain at 35MPH for at least 1/4 of a mile after just encase it is a divided zone.
I drive through roadblocks too. The problem is that the satnav is old school so it doesn't find alternate routes when there are accidents, it just wants to make you u-turn back to your original route which often put you back behind the black.
Once I got stuck behind a helicopter on a narrow road and had to call a tow track to allow me to escape
Yeah, I realize I can turn the roadblocks off, but I actually like that rush of adrenaline that comes with approaching one at 60mph and trying to figure out a way around. I've yet to get hopelessly stuck behind one, and I'm okay with using a tow truck if at some point I hit one I can't get by. I know you can restart the game to change the type of roadblock, which I think can help, but I'm not sure I'd do it.
Iceland looking spectacular! You must know that on my bus there is no fuss ha ha. DLC wise not sure if I will be getting it right off the bat but you never know.
I'm not sure what you were doing trying to pass me on a curve and approaching a tunnel. Be patient my friend. :)
If the goal is to get 10 perfect runs in a row before you stop playing, you'll never be able to stop playing! ;-)

Hi Mike I'm as excited as you on the new DLC arriving I will be parked somewhere close to das over the border to the West Balkans. Throughly agree about the Russian DLC being held back. Shame about the speeding ticket. Keep on trucking buddy.

Try using cruise control it will help you maintaining the speed
Yes, I actually do use that a good bit on the long stretches. I'm not in the habit of using it when it looks like the speed will keep changing, and I think sometimes the speed limit change/busted for speeding thing gets me. I need to be quicker, faster, better! :)
My walking heart rate is 100 to 170 bpm
I started an ats carrer 20 days ago and i reached level 27.

Also new PC requirements was dropped. Make sure your hardware is capable for future journeys👍.
As the Greece is not included on this DLC that could be the next one maybe. Good name for that would Akropolis. Crete island also included🤔.
Oh, good to know on the requirements. I've recently upgraded the CPU and the graphics card (Thanks Patreon supporters!) so I should be fine. And I like the idea of Greece, yes. But my choice would be Ireland next, for sure. :)

Yes, they keep changing to a degree but I will try to sort something out for this.
My personal opinion of ETS not making the Russian DLC was dumb, this game is for entertainment, they should stay politically neutral, what’s happening over there is bad, but its political, and if you ask some people our president is not doing good things in there eyes either. But why punish the whole country and the game players for what a one crazy leader person is doing.
As for what I like to listen to when I do a lot of driving, especially since I drive for a living, I like to listen to talk show on sirusxm called land line now which is about the trucking industry, or listen to the classic radio shows like gun smoke or Johnny Dollar or the shadow. And if I’m tired I just play some upbeat music.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Russia DLC and for your listening options. That Land Line talk show sounds interesting, and listening to classic radio shows is an awesome idea! I bet that is a lot of fun. That's a great idea, actually. I might try that.
ats is way better than ets2.
You can turn off the detours in the settings if you want. Though trying to drive through them does add some tension haha.
Yes, I actually like the tension of the detours when they show up, and I've yet to run into one that we couldn't get past. :)
