Will they fix the annoying extended wallpaper? I hate that it blurs the top part of the photos. It should optional.
Currently running beta 2 on a 15 pro and its been way warmer with more frequent screen dimming then on beta 1 during normal usage but overall feels more stable with less random glitches and stutters so far
I'll wait until September.

I’ve been using beta 2 since it came out today and I’ve noticed that it’s much better. One thing that was annoying before was the control Center, when you moved things around in beta 1 the icons went crazy. They seemed to have fixed that. Since I’m in Canada I don’t have the RCS setting yet though.
Does anyone know when RCS will be available worldwide?
It posses me off that Apple makes things available only for America… it’s not the centre of the world, there are other countries!

@@arthurdardalis I mean they are based in America, and apple intelligence wont even come to the EU at the moment, so its not weird what they're doing, but i don't understand features like RCS.
My girlfriend has beta 2 and in the U.S but still no rcs. It'll be awhile for worldwide.

When using iOS 18 Beta 1, I was experiencing occasional crashes with a blank screen and spinning circle as well as icons having to reload after changing the tint. I have upgraded to Beta 2 and everything seems fine so far.

How is the battery life adjusting to the new update?
I don’t know but this beta is not working fine in my iPhone 11 lots of issues as well as all app icons suddenly disappeared

Hi, can you confirm they fixed the attachments section in Messages? Beta 1 made the entire thing disappear.
Control Center resets to default controls everytime I restart the phone.

I can’t update to beta 2 because the storage bug on beta 1 makes it so my system data spikes up to 79GB as soon as i try to update resulting in a lack of space for beta 2
Do you think the volume button animation could elude to solid state volume buttons on the iphone 16?
Is it possible to do a reset of the phone by long pressing the Control Center power button? The way you do it now, by toggling the volume buttons quickly with the side button always felt odd to me.

I tried Phone mirroring here in the Netherlands and it gave me a message that this doesn’t work in my region. So i’ m a bit puzzled. But so far so good!
Cool did Apple fix game mode it makes gaming easy I’m wondering if they fixed that it was pretty buggy
I’m still having audio issues on beta 2. The sound switched from speaker to earpiece for no reason
I’m still at 99% battery . Got iPhone 15 PM at launch . If there isn’t a big update to the iPhone and it doesn’t look like there will be , I may keep this another year

How did you separate your icons from the widget?
So the knob in my BMW did control car play with Beta 1. Does this beta 2 bring back that option? Or is it a setting?
The UX bugs when using volume buttons are still here though,,,
I have a bug with light/dark mode on the Home Screen. If I try to switch to dark mode all my apps go blank and if I switch back I have to restart the phone to fix it. 15 Pro Max
The wallpaper dimming feature was also included in beta 1. I’ve been using it for a while.
Not sure if it’s a bug or not, but on the Home Screen my badge counter on my icons is black instead of the usual red.

Hey, there is an issue with screen recording not showing up in pictures in iOS 18 beta 2. They o oh show under videos but not under all photos even when no filter is applied
I don’t have the option for RCS and I am on the beta 2
There is a minor update in Apple Carplay as well, so far I only noticed a change in the Menu/Split screen icon in the bottom corner
Not seeing RCS in my settings. I think it might be carrier dependent.
Beta 2 working well on My iPhone 14 Pro. The iPhone mirroring is also working, but I found it won't connect if you have an active VPN connection, unless you stop and start VPN to allow the iPhone to connect / mirror first.
That message option isn’t in my message settings. Same phone as yours. Turned off a couple times still absent. Weird
With IOS 18 is it also going to fix WiFi problems because I’m really struggling with WiFi because my WiFi isn’t working right on my iPhone 14 and it’s on iOS 17.5.1
Started with the first beta, and my battery was suffering, granted it's at 89% health other than that everything has been working normally. lets see how it goes with beta 2.

I’ve noticed the Apple Watch mirroring option on control center, I know the feature used to be available on past iOS versions through settings but now there is a control center item for it

I seem to have a huge issue with system data becoming very large (like 160+ GB on my iPad Pro M2 and MacBook Air M2). Not sure how to fix it but deleting some files in finder --> library helped me.
I hope the bug where the volume goes down when a notification comes in is fixed.

As always a great and informative video.. I just installed ios18 beta 2 on my iPhone 14 Pro Max and don't seem to have the option to turn on RCS Messaging when going into Settings/Apps/Messages/TEXT MESSAGING😕
I keep getting a notification…about iCloud data access. I can’t seem to get rid of it. Please help it notifies me constantly and it’s annoying.
I hope Apple well fix this problem in the settings when you go to sign in and security it goes blank at first when you go to settings the profile pic not there after it show up
My phone is in dark mode but none of my app icons have been set to dark mode in beta two, but when I go into settings, my icons are in dark mode, and I don’t like that. App icons only should changes to dark mode throughout the system when you turn icons to dark mode.
Both RCS and the Satellite demo are not available in Canada on my 15 Pro Max on Beta 2 😢

I hope in iOS 18, they have an option in settings on background app refresh there's a tap where you can use mobile data instead both.
Multimedia audio will not play through CarPlay this includes Apple Music, UA-cam music or UA-cam in general, but Waze sounds and GPS sounds still seem to be coming through the car speakers as normal
Rcs working for me. Verizon. Also noticed new icon in CarPlay, and new notifications layout
