I really wonder why we’ve persevered with this strategy- open guttering😮😢 beggars belief😢 There must be some reasons the general populace are unaware of- otherwise, doing the same thing, must be some form of insanity!
This is due to a lack of maintenance culture. We don’t have strategies of how our roads can be cleaned. So in so we haven’t got equipment to maintain. The place needs replanning
There must be some reason the general populace are unaware of, for persevering with open guttering - otherwise, doing the same thing, must be some form of …..😢!
Please I want to use the medium of Kepukeputv to beg the great God given Governor of Abia state, Dr. Alex Otti to remember the old Express road and Uratta Rd. Thanks.
Why not build proper drainages that way you don't have to keep desilting and desilting and desilting. In CIVILIZED COUNTRIES, most of the drainages in built up areas are either cement pipes or metal pipes. There are small holes on the side of the roads that collects the rainwater and it then it goes into the pipes and from the pipes, the water is evacuated into canals specifically built for that purpose. Their highways are designed in such a way that the rain runs off. To accomplish that goal, most of the highways are slightly elevated above ground level. But you guys still build gutters on your highways.
Yes the drainage should be covered however the people should help them selves the more , people hide to dump rubbish in side the drainage meaning that they are aware of the implication , the western government is not so perfect but the attitude of the people hides the failures , lets all get involved ,
@OmenErumoore Gutter is not a drainage system. There are no gutters in developed countries. Stop building gutters. Stop the mediocrity. People litter because there's no refuse disposal system in Igboland. The biggest problem you guys have is doing things the wrong way.
Exactly I have lived in the UK for a long time and I have never seen such gutters. We have a closed drainage that has a hole we are also known for our maintenance culture (unlike the zoo Nigeria) And uk is clean u can never find gutter or dirtiness l. But Nigeria can’t get it right
@@longinusukenta its not what you have that matters rather its what you do with it i live in a country where its prohibited to dump or flush waste paper through the closet yet you dont find them littering homes and streets
Landlords must paint their buildings. The entire environment looks abandoned and unkept
All drainages MUST be covered.
This guter have to be covered all is too risky

I don't understand Igbo governors, why can they close the gutters? What's difficult in it?
Why are you only calling Igbo?? Ive seen many streets in Abuja with open gutters.. Including Lagos
@@macanthony1982 it is worst with our governors , their finishing on roads is alarming
Even the northern Nigeria build better roads than our governors
Anyone hoping that Nigeria will be better that persons name is SORRY.. Nigeria is gone
