This was the one filter where it felt un-fun. Everything else was a cool artistic filter, but this one was excruciating to get through on all levels, with the exception of The Crate Escape, because it's so short.
@@SweetJohnnyCage At least these levels are easier to get the perfect relics on because of how slow everything, I tell you getting across those cars at the end in the normal version of this level without dying is damn near impossible.
@@SweetJohnnyCage Ironically it's also the only filter that is helpful from a gameplay perspective. Took me 30 tries to get through the normal version of the nightmare section at the end, took me less than 5 on the N. Verted version.
While I agree that it’s flawed in terms of design, it was a breath of fresh air compared to the adrenaline rush of speed and increased precision that the game usually incorporates. Again, not good, as it goes against how the series functions normally, but I do find it relaxing.
I’ve been going through slowly. Using tons of lives. Searching and looking for those two boxes and nothing!! No idea. I’ve followed everything. This is the only level I’ve really been stuck on, some of those others have been very tough but this one is by far the worst. Every time only 439 boxes. I got the one on the platform. I have the same number as you on all the checkpoints. I just don’t know and I’ve watched this 13times
Ironically i did the perfect relic at my Second try. Simple Tip at the Last tawna sections, when you have to Cross the Traffic: Wait for the Big Busses. You can Always Run towards the Traffic on your Lane with simple jumps you can prolong a Lane for as Long as you want to. :)
It's safer to get the hidden gem if you skip the lower platform and land on the last one first. Let it drop you into the gem and you can safely hover jump back onto the one next to it. That way you have some ground to land on to safely make it across the chasm.
Thank you so much, your videos have helped immensely! Its was so hard to find n.verted guides that actually helped with detail! For the hidden gem, I found it easier to go across all the way then back track after the platforms come back up. For me it was easier to jump backwards onto the lower platform after getting the gem & back to the start then go back across instead of trying to hover to the higher ledge. it took me longer cause of the water effects & even had 0 deaths until i died doing tawna's last bus crossing haha
I found in the Dingodile section with the Nitro bots, if you use the tnt boxes and aim them at the nitro boxes, it just makes it a little easier to navigate that section. I actually find this n verted version easier, especially the traffic bit at the end. You do just have a little more time to think, but it does take a little getting used to in terms of how slow each jump becomes. Thanks again for another great guide, I much prefer that you commentate throughout compared to other guides
At 2:05 : You can just stand on the metal crate and spin, and get the extra life / 1-up, that doesn't blow up the nitro crate. That also works in the normal level.
I hated how hard these levels were, but it was the perfect practice for the normal level perfect relic. Since you do it slow so many times, you can really perfect the movement
You don't have to do both versions of a level perfectly. There's only 1 N. Sanely Perfect Relic per level. If you get it in the normal or inverted version, it counts for both.
A tip for that extra life box at 2:05 as dingodile Jump on top of the metal crate above it. Spin and immediately jump. It will break the crate beneath the metal box. But if you don't jump immediately it explodes the nitro as well and damages you For the Aku Aku Mask at the end. It is perfectly aligned with the checkpoint. So stand in the middle, jump and aim a hook straight left
Don't get me wrong I really like this game. It's has stunning graphics with music that fits every level but..... There is challenging and built for failure and some of these levels are purely built for failure.
I agree! It’s definitely one of my very favorite Crash games in the series, and the graphics and design of the game are exquisite, but man oh MAN are some of these levels an absolute nightmare! Definitely won’t be getting all the N.Sanely Perfect Relics, I think I might just give myself a brain aneurysm if I attempted that.
@Matthew Peter: I think the devs were sadists, whose bright idea was it to code permadeath into the game I wonder, the only times you couldn't die in the originals [ and N Sane editions ] was for coloured Gem levels { Crash 1 } and reaching Death Route Platforms { Crash 2 and 3 }. I don't think I shall be getting the Platinum for this one.
For the weirdest reason I keep on ending the game with 429/441 boxes! I followed the entire video and for the second time I end the game with 429 boxes, what on earth!
This level, the original version and I guess the N Verted too. They are the only levels in he game I can categorically say I dislike fully. Granted I absolute hate the style of the dino levels in N Verted. The rest of the game. I can manage, for sure.
Thanks for this. I don't know why the devs thought going so slow would be fun.

Thanks for being the only actual guide on youtube for N.Verted mode.
Both versions of this level are a pain in the neck, Tawna's section got me raging like crazy.

That's not going to work in the lanes that have the big busses and fast vans
@@Jtmissile yeah but Always the Lane right before and after :)
Same
@Cyrus Cortex: Her section makes me anxious.
Hidden Gem 0:20
Thanks for the walkthrough
5:18 That was pretty sweet, Jhonny Cage.

The depth perception is really dreadful during the rail sections. I don't know what TFB was thinking.
The boxes described as a harrowing nightmare in the final dingo section can just be spun as you run by, great vid though thanks!!
After two years of trying to get this level in one go, I gave up. It is not possible.

So THAT'S where that hidden gem was hiding! 😮😡😠
Thank U so much sir. U r a life saver. ☺️🙏👍👌
Much appreciated! Thanks for the guide!
You're welcome :)
This level is glitch asf I've did it countless of times deathless but I think some nitro boxes aren't popping after we hit the green marker.
Don't get me wrong I really like this game. It's has stunning graphics with music that fits every level but..... There is challenging and built for failure and some of these levels are purely built for failure.

Great video, thanks a lot!
The hidden gem is a bit better if you skip the lower platform and jump to that one
Just got the perfect relic thanks so much for help
thank you i am subscribing
Thank you so much :)
Thanks for your efforts
It's my pleasure!
I give up I had 440 the first time and now I have 433 like wtf
Same :( wtf man
I can't stop missing crates in the Tawna rail sections, the effects just mess w/ my depth perception too badly.
I actually preferred doing the inverted levels for the sn@xx dimension levels for the perfect relics to get past the fast moving cars
I’ve followed this to the T and keep coming up 439 also you can jump spin to get both 1 up in the nitro x
I have a question why did I miss a ton of boxes when I hit all these boxes exactly like the video???
Did you get the giant stack by the last checkpoint?
I’m having the same issue and I got the one behind the checkpoint I’m suing
Thanks 🙏
Thank yooou
thx bro
I missed 18 in both versions. What’s going on?
I think all 18 are in the foreground near the final checkpoint.
@@SweetJohnnyCage That’s right! I can’t believe I forgot about those! 🤦♂️
It happened to me on several attempts of recording these guides :D
I did this step-by-step and I was down 20+ crates. No idea how. Crash 4 is just buggy sometimes; can't think of another reason honestly.
2:05 What? You don't actually need to break that box? Is it because the nitro will blow it up at the end of the level?
I break it tho because it gives me wumpa/bumpa
I kept missing only one box.so painful everytime that happens on levels
Same fucking here...where is that last goddamn box!?!?
I found it...I forgot there was 1 fucking box in the location of the original hidden gem...FML....
Hi sweetjohnnycage which is easier for perfect relic this level or normal? thanks mate great video to 🙂
That's a good question. I think nverted, actually, since the cars move way slower.
@@SweetJohnnyCage awesome thanks for reply I’ll try that
for me there is a glitch in this level i took al the boxes like the vid shows and at the end it sais ive commed to short on boxes
For the weirdest reason I keep on ending the game with 429/441 boxes! I followed the entire video and for the second time I end the game with 429 boxes, what on earth!
Same but getting 423. Wth?
Happened to me on the original level of this too. Couldn't get the right box number despite following a guide. Eventually got it though
I only have 423 at the end :(
Me too!
Same, I followed the video to the letter. I don't know if this is a glitch or what.
Same thing happened to me. I’ve done this level four times now and I’ve followed this guide exactly but I can’t get the gem
If you're missing 18 crates, maybe you died after the checkpoint with the crates behind, when you respawn you have to get them again
If anybody is still having this problem, try exiting the game completely and go back into it. That's what fixed it for me.
I watched this over and over and i still hit every box you did but at the end it says im missing a some lol like i quit
This n.verted filter looks amazing but feels terrible to play. Very annoying the "high drag" feel when moving the characters
i did everything in guide and at the end i missed that one box
I’m so pissed right now. How the hell Am I missing one crate this is beyond ridiculous I’ve played through the original level 😡.
Don't know why they made this level so painfully long last 8 stages until my complete platinum at least 😅
I missed 10 somehow
Can’t find the 10
also I did get the hidden box at the start of the dingo section

They should have nverted perfrct relic runs z
I hate this stupid level so much, every problem this game has can be looked over if they did not include these stupid n verted stages
Probably the most boring level in the game
Stupid nitro glitch 😡
