Free stuff! Nice! I'm secretly hoping that Warlord does these in 28mm. Hannibal on his elephant would be grand. Epic looks fun, but the second I think about it there is a groan out of the pile(s) of figures in painting purgatory. These did paint up very well!
Nice work. Interesting hearing about the Numidian Kingdom. Are there any formed infantry on the sprues you were sent that are useable as Numidian "Legionaries" ?
Thanks. That's a really good question about the Imitation legionnaires. A number of nations tried to use them indeed the Carthaginian heavy infantry was reequipped with Roman kit from the dead to replace their broken equipment in Italy. I would say that the way the Epic Romans are so closely packed would not work for numidians. It seems while they did get the shields and pilum, they were never as well trained and definitely were unable to do the drill and formation most Romans could do. That said at this scale, you could of course
Interesting and thoughtful painting and analysis, particularly on the underwhelming gameplay representation of such a famous and effective cavalry unit. I noticed you use a lot of Citadel paints which is surprising to me. After listening to the PCP a few times, you are clearly a historical and not a fantasy wargamer. Are they any good?
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah i use a lot of Contrast and other speed paints and as you say I am almost exclusively a historical gamer. They work very well and as long as you steer away from the weirder colours they are perfectly good to use
spent 500 bucks on multiple box sets of this and I love them but absolutely nothing in the box to identify anything on the sprues. Absolutely maddening!! I have emailed warlord but so far have not received a response. They obviously know whats what on each sprue why the hell wouldnt the want their customers to know???
Yeah it’s a bit frustrating. I have seen a couple of videos which identify the various figures but Warlord are never helpful with instructions. Just try assembling some of their WW2 AT guns!
Please don't show any more of these troops! I am soooo tempted to bin all my nice 15mm for these fantastic new troops - I'm resisting at the mo...but your videos don't help!!😂🤣
Thank you , Dom .
🐺Loupis Canis .

Nice one, they look great. keep em' coming!
Thanks, will do!
Lovely looking numidians Dom, can't wait to get a free sprue on wargames illustrated to have a go at these
i expect that magazine will sell out quickly
Great looking Numidians and interesting presentation!
Many thanks!
They look like they'd be a near-exact match for the Forged in Battle Numidian range - which don't come with shield bosses either !
i have some of those on the way although not Numidians so look forward to comparing
