Came by your channel by way of Aqua Vitae. Really enjoy your distillery tours and technical, no nonsense approach to whisky reviews. I appreciate your efforts.
Yeah it was really well set up for visitors and the staff were super friendly. Looked like they put on a pretty good lunch too 😉 Cheers Flying_Hussar 🥃👍
Lovely video Ben. Thanks for getting round to it. I haven't tried a lot of Aberfeldy, (the 12, 16 and a ltd release of 18 yo if I remember correctly) - and always felt it has the potential to be a very interesting and rewarding malt, as I think it has an interesting, pleasant profile and character. So come on, Dewar's: up the ante on the ABV a bit or release some cask strength expressions, already.
Most of them seem to have re-opened now, though some are just doing the basic tours. I'd really love to, but with Jo @ 37 weeks pregnant and the associated financials it's probably a little ways off 🤔 I'd really love to make it to Campbeltown & Arran on the next trip. Cheers Carlos 🥃👍
Good tour video Ben 👍, enjoyed watching it, don’t really like the white label and the 12 is well, should I say quite a nice nose but a really thin mouth feel. Slàinte Ben.
Yeah the 12 doesn't really engage me, but the 21 & exceptional cask have far too large of a price tag to engage with me either! Nice stuff to get to try though. Cheers David 🥃👍
Ouch, scathing review! 😂 Do you know which it was? Their 'house style' seems to be aiming for the opposite;- super easy & gentle. I was much more interested in the exceptional cask and single cask I got to try. Cheers Jeff 🥃👍
Great tour Ben. Lucky to get the indoor video. Always wondered what Aberfeldy looked like. See you Thursday with Roy!
Cheers. Scott.
Love these tours, Ben. Thanks for all the work you put into them. We all really appreciate it. :)
Happy to get to share & relive them myself 😁

Looking forwards to getting back out there and visiting some more!

1999-2019 directly from the barrel sip. Beautiful tears in the cup. Slainte!
Nothing quite like sampling straight from the cask in a dunnage warehouse 👌
Cheers Adrian 🥃👍
Really enjoyed the tour, and appreciate the candor of your tasting notes. Sláinte
Glad I can share & relive it myself 😁

Looks like a nice place to visit. Well prepared for tours

It's nice to watch while enjoying a pour of 12 year. It's not my favorite, but got a bottle to try it and do still appreciate it.
They do make some good stuff, the asking price just gets far too much for the whiskies I enjoyed 😂
Cheers John 🥃👍
Some of the best scotch ever.
Any plans to visit distilleries in the coming months? Have they re-opened for visitors?

@@WhiskyGeek Congrats on the baby. That sure is a way to keep spending in check.
The original home of Dewar's was Perth
Are you still in Scotland?
I wish! No this was recorded a while ago I'm afraid.
@@WhiskyGeek I had a Special edition dram 21 year of Aberfeldy that I should have got it is coming out soon but I regret not buying it.

I had some Aberfeldy recently. Foul, not fit for consumption.
