Out of all the skits and interviews this show has done, this one is by far my favourite. Even just thinking about it gets me giggling & snorting with laughter.
It's funnier when you realize that this is Season 1, the show hasn't aired yet, Sinbad has no idea what kinda show he was doing before he showed up, the set is intentionally poorly lit and miserable looking, and looking at everyone's shiny faces, I'm willing to bet they turned on the heater too for extra discomfort 🤣 Then Sinbad who had fallen to obscurity at this point is sweaty, miserable, and realizes he's on a joke show no one ever heard of where he's the punchline... Okay so I haven’t seen a single comment about this yet, apparently it’s not very well known: Eric Andre did an interview where he explained this whole episode. Sinbad is tripping on acid during this entire interview, so he’s kind of losing his mind....and Eric explains that he was doing everything in his power to trip Sinbad out even worse by doing this weird repetitive shit. It’s even worse when you understand that: - This is the first season (so the show hasn’t come out before and they had no real idea about what they are getting into) - It’s like 110 degrees Fahrenheit in the room - Sinbad is actively on acid here and Eric Andre has been doing everything he can to trip him out - This bit probably went on for about 16 minutes in real time - Sinbad is at kind of a low point in his career when this happening, so this all has an air of “this is all a joke and I’m the punchline” feel to it

Sinbad definitely understood the bit. He kinda breaks a smile. Then after that, he's playing along. His timing was too perfect to not be intentional. Check out his stand-up comedy sets. He does that same "Chime-in with his perspective" thing in that voice, in most of his stand-up sets too. P.S. - Sinbad might be the most-underrated stand-up comedian, ever. Not the GOAT, but doesn't get almost any praise, it seems. His HBO specials were some of the best I've ever seen. Mostly clean comedy too, which from what I understand is more difficult.

Sinbad definitely understood the bit. He kinda breaks a smile. Then after that, he's playing along. His timing was too perfect to not be intentional. Check out his stand-up comedy sets. He does that same "Chime-in with his perspective" thing in that voice, in most of his stand-up sets too.
P.S. - Sinbad might be the most-underrated stand-up comedian, ever. Not the GOAT, but doesn't get almost any praise, it seems. His HBO specials were some of the best I've ever seen. Mostly clean comedy too, which from what I understand is more difficult.
