    I'm straight here after part one. I always thought Joe was a stern, unapproachable guy. Nothing could be further from the truth. These old muso's are a class apart. RIP. 😪

    i have the video of Tal farlow playing the solo of "my romance" with harmonics, very melodic, jazzy,that solo was a "song" ... you can play a solo in many way using altered notes , but if it does not "swing" means "does not come from the heart"(most of the great musicians said ,"play what you hear"..it takes a lot preparation, a lot of practice ,is like composing a song, Tal Farlow didn't read music..and he had the music in his brain ,in his heart,and he played what he felt to play.
