I snagged someone elses line a few weeks ago in the intracoastal.....had a 6'6" pole with a pinnacle baitcaster still attached to it. And the reel was still operational!. I call that a score any day. Lmao

I love the seasonal contrast between watching videos of you fish an empty lake on sub-50* days, then seeing boats stacked up at the ramp during summer... and catching fish either way! ;-)

Love your show, Alex...it's inspired me to take fishing back up as a hobby. Had not fished at all since about 2002. Had not caught anything for years before that, as I only fished very occasionally. On my last outing a week ago, I caught my first fish after about 30 years...a crappie and a carp, using spinning gear. Now looking forward to buying a bait-casting combo soon. Can't thank you enough! Keeping it Realistic!

One tip I learned this year that has helped me catch noticeably more fish, is to cast close to the bank from a distance. By not approaching the shoreline so quickly, I've caught a lot of nice bass that like to hang out by the reeds and grasslines near the shores of the places I fish! Today I clapped about 8 bass and all were picked off from the bank within a 15 foot radius from the shoreline. I try to stay about 4 or 5 yards away from the shore when I cast to reduce spooking any fish. Not sure if you've heard of this tip before, but if you haven't it's worth giving it a try!

You know how ned rigs AREN'T WEEDLESS? My friend just showed me today that using an arkie shakey head and a z man trd alaztech ned rig plastic makes the ned rig weedless! It has to be the z man trd though so it "floats" I slayed the fish today on that rig and just thought I'd share the wealth with you. Keepin it realistic💯

(No, I don't really mean this!) You should do a "found stuff" fishing challenge. You go with an empty reel on a rod, and spool it with the line you gather. As much as people like to leave behind, I'm sure that wouldn't be too difficult!
Actually, I visited a new spot after I last moved, and found enough braid to probably about half-fill a baitcaster. I think someone went out trying to learn how to cast, and was really mad at their backlash.
