Digging them out with a fork! Genius! Thank you.
Fork is one of my favorite useful tools for seedlings.😁Thank you very much for your comment!
That was really good no waffling straight to the point!

Yes it’s easy and understandable with the quick way to show how to plant parsley..TY..
Thank you. This my first time growing parsley. I had no idea what or when to do what. I appreciate this. 👍🏾
I give you an German Tipp:
After soaking the seed in water, add Quarts sand to the seeds and Mix it. After this you can easely put the mass on the soil and have constant expendet the seeds
Thank you i love this video! I now know that i have self seeded parsley shoots. But i wasnt sure if they were weeds! I have also collected seeds from the same plant! Im excited! Thank you so much!! 😍😍😍
Great idea/information I'm willing to do parsley and other herb business soon
This was helpful. I live in the northeast so over winter gardening is of interest to me. Parsley, thyme, and basil are my most used herbs. What do you think of using grow lights in the basement? My wife thinks it's a bad idea but I like fresh herbs.
So glad it was helpful! I am not a fan of grow lights. If you have a bright window sill with 2-3 hour of sunlight, I'd say it works much better than grow lights. But if grow lights is the only option, make sure you have plenty of them so plants get what they need. No matter what you choose, it is always good idea to listen to your wife😉😄 . thank you so much for your comment!!
Hi, thank you for this tutorial. Im really grateful. I would like to start a home nursery of herbs.
So glad you found it helpful. Happy gardening and thank you so much for your comment!😊🌱
Thank you for the easy to follow instructions! Can you keep the plants outside, or do they need to be kept indoors?
Glad you liked it. No need to keep them inside. Outside in a shade or part shade is better. Thank you so much for your comment!
I've struggled to get my parsley seeds germinating consistently in a seed starter tray with a lid. Is the lid not required for parsley to keep the moisture and humidity high?
Btw love your videos. To the point and easy to follow. No rambling like other people do in their videoes.
I usually don't use any lids for my seed trays. Rather I try to keep the soil moist. Not sure if lids will have any effects on germination or not??
So glad that you love my videos and hope you will have a better results this time. Thank you very much for your comment!
Where do you find the seedling planters you use when you’re first germinating seeds? I seem to only find the kind with individual cells and I have plenty of those. Thank you!
I am re-using containers for grocery and vegetables such as mushrooms. You can use any tray at least 2" deep and add holes for drainage. Another great option is small tray at IKEA www.ikea.com/us/en/p/nojig-organizer-plastic-beige-50468104/ . Hope this helps and thank you for getting in touch!
I never thought of trying roasted. Like he above user I never cared for its slimy consistency in soups and gumbo. I thought it was even slimy fried.
Great video , buy You don’t mention how often to water?
Parsley needs plenty of water, specially grown in pots and during dry weather. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. It’s best to water early in the day so the foliage has time to dry off to prevent disease problems.
Thank you very much for visiting!
Awesome video! When we repot the parsley, would it be okay to use smaller pots?
You may, but it will stay small and not grow to full size. You can start with small ones and repot again as they grow. I hope this helps and thank you so much for your comment!
Nice vedio what kind of a soil is this because it's not exactly black it's looks like you mixed it that why it's grow fast pls help me 🙏
I make my own mix for herbs. You can check my video here on how I make my potting mix ua-cam.com/video/Xdi9kwEA_X0/v-deo.html . Thank you very much for your comment!
Great video, thank you!… How often do you water?
Glad you like it. Parsley needs plenty of water when grown in pots and in dry weather. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. Water early in the morning and don't let soil dry out. I usually water them daily. Hope this helps and thank you very much for your comment!
Does the parsley get any type of fertilizer once replanted into a bigger pot? Thank you for your videos.
At the time of planting, the mix has composted manure which acts as fertilizer. But later on, I feed them using liquid fish fertilizer every 2-3 weeks. Thank you so much for your comment!
How often did you water the seedlings in the beginning
It depends on the weather. I watered seedlings every 2 to 3 days. You just need to keep soil moist but not soggy. I hope this helps. Thanks for visiting.
If indoors, are they fine with a bit of ac on?
They prefer cooler weather so AC is totally fine, just make sure they get adequate light if indoor. Thanks for visiting!
Hi! Did you place the planted parsley seeds on direct sunlight?
Hi, the pots were kept in a part-sun part-shade location, with max 4 hours of direct sunlight. Thank you for getting in touch!
So these guys sprout after 3 weeks?? Do you keep them covered in dark place?
No, you don't need to cover them or keep them in a dark place. Seed with hard shells usually take longer to germinate. Thanks for visiting.
How often should you water the sprout stage?
The key is to keep the soil moist, but not soggy. Wait until top layer of the soil is dry and then water. For me it was about every 2-3 days. Thanks for visiting!
What's different about Parsley seeds that they require soaking beforehand?
Soaking seeds just helps them germinate faster. You can use it not just for parsley but for many seeds that have hard shell (beet, spinach, cilantro,...). It is totally optional and doesn't effect the growing of the plants. Thanks for visiting.
@@TowardGarden That makes sense why cilantro and spinach are always last to sprout. 👍🏿
Can I just keep it in the point we started with? Do we have to transplant it to smaller pots?
well, they need room to grow. If you keep them in the small pot, they will not grow to their best. if you don't want to transplant, start in a large pot. Thanks for visiting.
what type is the soil mixture?
You can use general purpose potting mix. Or make your own by mixing garden compost+coir+perlite(or grit). You can also add small amount of composted manure.
@@TowardGardenwhats the formula for the mixture? Like how many parts of coco coir and perlite?
Equal part of each, or 40% coir, 40%compost, 20% perlite. Thanks for visiting!@@chloeelv28
How often should we water them?
Almost daily in early morning. Keep them watered but avoid soggy soil. Good luck!
In warmer weather you can water almost daily. If not too warm, every other day works too. In any cases don't let soil dry out to prevent it from bolting. Hope this helps.
Does parsley need a lot of sun or shade?
It can grow in full sun to part shade (about 4 hrs of sun). If it is too hot, keeping them in shade will help delay flowering! Thank you for your comment!
What kind of soil you use? Because it's look like you mix something else that's why it's growing so fast pls help nice vedio❤
I make my own mix for herbs. You can check my video here on how I make my potting mix ua-cam.com/video/Xdi9kwEA_X0/v-deo.html . Thank you very much for your comment!
Hi what kind of container is that? Can it just be any container?
@@TowardGarden thankyou for replying. Im gonna attempt to do this. Mine doesnt have holes. Is that ok or do you suggest to make holes?
@lindseyabbie7 you definitely need to add holes for drainage. That is true for any type of container gardening. Happy growing!🌱
No one wants to have to read a screen on UA-cam. I need to be able to listen while I do other tasks.
For myself, this may need to be a more visual type of instruction. And I also admire the simple and straightforward aesthetic.
I was never able to grow more than one parsley plant at a time. I followed your method exactly as you do it and now I have more parsley than I know what to do with. Thank you. I can watch your videos all day. They are very informative and to the point.
That is fantastic👏👏. So glad it was helpful. Happy gardening and thank you so much for your inspiring comment!
@@TowardGarden ❤️
How often do you water them?
@@user-pe4iq7ku6kI guess it depends on where you live. It’s very hot and dry where I live so every other day.
thank you
