I think they have different colours because when they central verses the pacific they would both have black jerseys

Yes that’s why, even last years had black and white for each jersey
Every division has both a home and away
I think my biggest issue is that it isn't even that the logos are just the team's primary color, it's that they just used the same color no matter what shade of red/blue/yellow they team uses. I think it's the most obvious with the yellows, where it's just not the gold that the team uses, and because of that they look really off.
Connor McCue Boston’s is a good example. It’s not even close. The jets also.

I just feel like Adidas has dropped the ball on the special event jerseys in general. The patch and collar are the only part I like.

Ogreman222 this All Star fiasco and the production issues with the Winter Classic jerseys are a huge disappointment this season.

Ogreman222 Nike does a way better job with the NBA, compared to Adidas with NHL.
I liked last years all star jerseys, but those weren’t fantastic either

It's because the all star is in 4 teams so if the two blacks play each other one would switch. So each team has home and away
So, I guess I'm the only person on the internet who generally likes these jerseys. I think the monochrome colors and music staff lines in the back are really cool concepts 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

@@ogreman2229 exactly, even if they had something on the arms/shoulders that more represent the NHL, and they could have had black under the arm to look like what's at the end of most lines of music

The word to describe the jersey's are BORING! They to plain and unimaginative, especially the white ones!
Hey, I’m from St. Louis and I think they should of put a big arch on the front or something and put trumpets for the shoulder patches, but the dark and light jerseys represent the home and away team for the ASG. They did they same thing last year in San Jose
One positive: I appreciate the Gateway Arch on the inner collar.
Wish they were that thoughtful with the rest of the sweater.
Don't let your eyes deceive you. They do use the correct colors for yellow and orange logos. But bc they are right next the the white without any outline, the white makes the colors look a lot brighter than what they actually are

To me, the dark one is pretty respectable... The white one is really... empty. A logo and some lines that im sure we are not going to see a lot on TV.
They would be beautiful practice jersey....
I’d rather them have like the nhl logo as the crest and the team logo on the shoulders or somewhere else like they did a few years ago

They did this last year, look at the All Star Game from San Jose.
The Adidas “Parley” jerseys they were called, the Metropolitan division along with the others had a white and black version with teal inside the neck. No team patches on the shoulder or arms, just the All Star Game patch on the right shoulder I believe.
These jerseys are worse than last year but I think at least they were more creative than simply using grey, black and white because of the Sharks
I would try to look at both and see which fits your team best, I intend on getting a Vegas in black and Rangers in white if possible.

I feel like they didn't do anything to connect the jerseys to the city. They could have done the same idea in red and blue instead of black and green.

I think they have two because when Atlantic faces metro they can't both be white or it will get confusing. And same thing for the western teams
I just really, really dislike the fact the logos are white + team primary colour... Looks weak imo. Vegas looks decent as black and white. Fine if you're Toronto, Detroit or Tampa where they're the same, but a fair few look comical.

As a blues fan, I was expecting a lot because we just won the cup, now we got the ASG, but when I first looked at them at first I thought they were the ASG practice jerseys and I was like, these are nice practice jerseys, they can’t be the actual jerseys can they?
What do think about this; to make the All star game worth while, bring back east VS west. The winning conference gets home ice for the finals like the MLB does for their allstar game. Then people might actually tune in.
I kind of like the white jerseys because of their simplicity. The principle colors seem a bit off for most team logos but they look more discrete than a typical jersey concept does. For that, I feel like I could wear one at some places I'd usually feel out of place wearing a jersey.
I like the idea of players wearing their team jerseys but the front is that years allstar logo. And no it won't be too confusing, if your watching an all star game, you most likely know most of the players
They only had black and white parley jerseys last year in san jose

I think the reason the colors may look off is because it is just the one single color with white which can tend to throw off what the actual logo color is
They need to stop making all star jersey so plain they need to be colorful and have either the NHL logo or the All Star logo on the jersey for the main logo
Did everyone not pay attention at all to last years all star game? They did the same thing last year. Team logos, white and black jerseys for each team, only having one or the other available online, and only being able to buy the Fanatics version and not the Addidas. I hate it. I was actually excited to buy an officially licensed, all black and white, game worn Sabres Jersey. But then found out I could only get I think the white one (fine I guess I wanted both) but Black was the one I really wanted. But then the deal breaker, only the Fanatics Jersey! I wouldn't care if the players were wearing that version, or if the Fanatics jerseys were better quality

I don’t like the idea of monochromatic logos, but if they’re going to do it at least use the right color. That’s the biggest problem I have.
As a Blues fan I think they’re ok...I wish the main colors were different and the logos weren’t just one color and white but I can’t change them so🤷🏼♂️
I think the biggest problem is you cant even buy all the teams jerseys on the website.
I hate the jerseys but the positive thing is that they will only wear them for one weekend .
I fully agree with what you’re saying about the website advertising not selling what is being advertising. They don’t even have all the teams there right now so a fan like me (Coyotes fan) can’t even purchase a jersey of their team and that is ABSURD to me. I don’t know how you don’t release a grey/white version of each team. Even if it’s a limited release. You gotta release every team at the very least. It’s ridiculous to not do that.

Great video and perspective. I personally think that the design of these jerseys is quite lazy - especially the white ones. I KIND of like what they've done with some of the logos, but for the most part, they're easily skippable - which as a jersey collector makes me a bit sad.
I dont know if you saw, but they are like the MLB Players weekend jerseys. Some are good. Some are not as good
Alright ill be the guy to say i really do like the wild Jersey i like the brighter colors with the white on the black jerseys. I do not mind the off colors it looks different.

Neal you should contact the nhl and do the designs and as partial payment they allow you to film the whole process for your channel and for tv

Yikes. It’s clear that the design really doesn’t work at all for about 25 teams. I’d agree the Capitals looks the best. It seems the only good thing about a half dozen is that they are aren’t as screwed up as the others. I’m pretty sure the only reason Calgary’s white looks decent is thanks to Boston, Pitt, Nashville, etc. it’s understandable that a design might turn out poorly; but I’m thoroughly confused about why they’d use that gold. Spice it up. The Panther is a very vibrant red and St. Paul does look to have a nice take on darker green. In every case where that yellow appears it looks identical and is too far of a leap.
I like some of the logos but the Jerseys are bad. The ASG is in St. Louis, why couldn’t they put the arch in the jerseys as well

ETHAN MILLER you know what they should have done, make a design that looks almost identical to the 90’s jerseys the blues brought back this year, it should be the team that’s hosting the ASG’s colors, not just boring ass white and black

Compared to these, even the Columbus "motocross" green and black ones look like masterpieces.
It’s not the wrong oranges and yellows lol it’s a lack of contrast washing out the colours.
The all star jerseys just look like 1920’s jersey and slap on the modern nhl team logos. Also pretty certain that that how these jersey got approved because nhl history or something.
How much are the white ones selling for? I could use some expensive pajama shirts.

Just saw the Blues All-Star jersey in the store. NOPE! When I first saw them online, I didn't think they looked that bad. When you see them in person....... OMG, what a disappointment. For the Blues logo, it looks better on the white jersey. The dark grey color looked all wrong. The stripes have a hideous silver, sparkling bling to them. If you really want these jersey's, I say wait until they go on sale (75% off)
I like this version Wild logo but the jersey overall.... meh. Hoping their winter classic jersey next year will be sweet.

The only that I like that I don't think you showed in this video is the black New Jersey Devils jersey is the only one that looks remotely good.

The winter classic jersey's were terrible ( especially Nashville's) These All Star jersey's are just terrible, save your money people!
The Jerseys are ok I’m not a big fan of the All star game. Buuuuuuutttttt, that means Seattle will reveal their team name and logo. Not mascot but if it’s the Kraken I’m sure it’ll be a silly name like Tentacles or Kramer the Kracken 🤷♂️
The jerseys could have been nice if they had something extra on them. Just too plain. Make the shoulders grey, and a thick grey stripe along the bottom, and it wouldn't be too bad.
That being said, the ASG seems like the one time where jersey designers are allowed to try something different and fun, i'm so tired of these banal, bland shirts. "Not too bad" being the highest standard for these jerseys is unacceptable.
I don't like these. But the ones from around 2005 - 2019 are even worse. Many of which had atrocious random striping and neon or gray panels.
Some of these look pretty good (Islanders, Blues, Kings, Flames,...) others look off, especially regarding the logo colour (as you mentioned). Don't get the overreaction, it's just a one-off jersey for an event no one cares about.
whatis awitch the monochromatic logos are the part I think ruins them for some teams. The idea of the music bars is good but the logos are awful.

whatis awitch I feel like if they would’ve taken the sheet music concept and put a little more effort it could’ve produced some nice jerseys. They come off as very lazy. It’s disappointing because I love the design of the patch and advertising they’ve used.

these jerseys are atrocious. only a couple logos look passable on the dark ones and the blues is literally the only one passable on the white one.

The jerseys horrendous cheep looking worse than any Junior hockey jerseys you would find the world over design wise thinking the design team when desperate to finish for the day after having been high on class A drugs for most of the day then when they where coming down from the high they thought right that will do it rubber stamp the two designs & get go to Tim Hortons we have the munchies from our drugs high it would not suprise me if drugs had some kind of influence on the designs of these jerseys.

It just shows how much all these All Star games in North Americans Sports are so played out yesterday's news they have screwed around with them so much in ever single sport they have no meaning any longer & I used to love them.
