Matt's voice and guitar skills are insane
Fun Fact: He once said in an interview that he almost didn't persue Rock, because he felt his voice wouldn't fit the style.
Running down the walkway while playing a complex guitar riff is a supreme guitar player flex.
He stays flexing lol always been his thing. His two biggest influences are Hendrix and prince and if you know guitar you know how crazy those two were lmao
I don't think it's that complex but runining while playing is definately impressive
I'd say a bigger flex is swinging his guitar while walking and playing the guitar solo from Hysteria
I'm amateur AF and I can play this riff in its basic form. Not the hardest muse to play, but one of the most beautiful
The fact that he comes back to the mic and doesn't sound winded at all is more impressive to me. Lots of cardio and breathing technique there.
Matt's the whole package! Incredible singer, guitarist, pianist, songwriter and showman.
As a longtime musician whom has performed live & in studio, has to admire Matt, that he can play keys, guitar, sing and bass ( in his side bands) at a professional level is amazing... Excellent front man.... One of the best "live" shows ever and I've seen hundreds... Take care...
🔥🎸🔥
Matt has no limits to his talent he is also able to play church organ as well like in the song 'Megalomania' in Royal albert hall, a pure insane falsetto in this song also
One of THE great guitar riffs.
yep....its not technically hard to play, its just very well written. I consider it one of the greatest guitar riffs because it is instantly recognizable and that is what makes an exception guitar riff.
When I say "not technically hard" what I mean is it isn't as hard to learn as something like the arpeggio section of Serrana by Jason Becker or something like that.
I would say easily that a lot of guitarist that are famous probably wishes they had made that riff up. Its a perfect intro to a song that Muse used very well.
@@evilcowboy much harder to play as you sing lead vocals lol try it sometime it’s ridiculous
How, as a front man, does he not burst into tears every time he has 20k odd people singing his lyrics back to him?
I remember the first time, as just a drummer, I played in front of around 500 people as a support act for TBDM I got emotional just seeing the crowd enjoy themselves. Let alone a whole stadium, there to see you specifically, all feeling the moment you've created in complete unison. I don't think I'd be able to hold it together lol.
I wouldn't be able to man, I would make it part of the performance. This may just be a me thing due to autism, but as a musician, I am a very charismatic, but very emotional performer. The most people I have ever played to is probably only like 50-80 in college jazz performances, a few hundred when I marched at big football games, but I know I have had to fight tears at times during performances, hell I have to fight tears just watching this live muse performance, feeling the energy from that many people, even from a video from 9 years ago, is just overwhelming to me. Not in a bad way either, if I was in Matt's shoes with that type of consistent crowd, I would be letting tears go on stage all the time, simply because I envelope myself with the energy and feel of music, those high notes especially man, they take me places.
he get used to it i guess
@@upsidedownpyramid7617totally relate to this!! back when i was just 11 years old playing with a really good school band, everyone would have a perfectly straight face, but i was always cracking a smile, like “shit this sounds cool”. sometimes i’ll just be singing and see my friends up the back of the hall waving along and i have to try not to burst into tears
Matt Bellamy is the best guitar player and singer combo. He’s so fucking good! Every one of his riffs is so well written.
As a guitar player myself, the way Matt plays is so rare...
Almost like Jimi Hendrix, or Kurt Cobain she becomes an extension of him rather than just a tool to use.
I could listen to him sing the phonebook. The man is pure talent.
Love MUSE! Matt's voice is insane! He could literally do classical if he wanted to. My favorite album is 2nd Law. Take care Charlie.
One of the worst they’ve made (behind the two last who came out recently ofc)
@@Lucho_13 exactly lol origins of symmetry and absolution are the best hands down
Muse have many great songs like this. Knights of Cydonia, Bliss, Uprising, Resistance, Newborn etc.
Yeaaah, I just lose it with Micro Cuts, Showbiz and Space Dimentia
I'm in love with reapers
Every song on the first 5 albums!
2:07 "Even if you don't know Muse, you know Muse".
facts
yup, most likely you've heard of them via Uprising, which is probably their most played song ever. Or Starlight because of the Twilight Movie. (Basically the only thing good about the movie series, was that Meyer actually had a decent taste in music, with muse being at the top of her list.)
@@ExarchGaming Muse Songs also get used alot in EA Games like Fifa
@@ExarchGaming supermassive black hole also in a twilight movie .. when the vamp’s were playing baseball (my daughter was a twilight fan 😆)
That guy in chat was ridiculous wow, of course not everyone likes certain music, you don't have to be an a-hole about it.
Who? Almost all of his chat was extremely positive towards Muse. Was there someone being a dick?
How anyone could not like Muse is crazy to me, not my favorite band but goddamn if they dont make great music
Yes! I love Matthew's voice
Awesome video. It's crazy to think that, Oh YEAH, he also has to play all the guitar parts while singing. Insane
...and running 🤣
Ah I saw them on this tour. It was so good & I'm keen to see the new album & hopefully we will open up to bands again here in Australia
Matt was never or he never intended on being a vocalist. He replaced their guitarist at the time as he said he was better, and eventually he is. This video makes me me the gigs so much!
The late great Jeff Buckley influenced a generation of British bands ( Coldplay, Muse, Radiohead)
I still have shivers after 15 years
Es una de las mejores voces en la actualidad.
Yo creo que sí lleva técnica.
Hay una gran diferencia entre su voz del primer disco y los posteriores.
Seen them twice, one in Manchester and once in my home town this year, and I'm seeing for a 2nd time this year!
I'm also seeing Rick Astley in a few months
Keep commenting Muse...I'll always be there watching it 🔥💜
I have friends that hate muse but love to see them in a stadium or Arena, as a fan I have to admit that's where one should go to listen to then!
Muse is awesome, the best ever live band, there sound and everythin so different every other band, my fav band :)
Insane live band. Saw them in 2011 and going to see them again in 2 months lol fucking insane shows with 100,000+ it’s nuts
We need more MUSE reaction videos.
Plug in baby is insaaaane !!
have never seen a better liveband then them
YES, you gotta love MUSE!!!
こんばんは、お疲れ様です。
Muse、世界最高のスタジアムバンドのひとつだからね〜!
I love murkins. They explain everything to death 😂
2:57 "When I was playing Rock Band and there were so many Muse songs in there"
Only Hysteria ever released on Rock Band, you might be thinking of Guitar Hero which got a handful of songs...lol
Rock Band always had the meme of MOAR MUSE when they asked which band people wanted more songs from.
Get enough Jim Beam into me and I can crush this song.
Never understood the Radiohead comparison.
Which is the vocal tone in the chorus? Or high note in the chorus.
I recommend You react to Unnatural Selection Live at The Den Muse. Saludos!
do you already know that Floor Jansen recorded a new frozen song just out now ?
Everyone who disliked only didnt like the reactor not the song
Shame that the vocal coach couldn't find a better version of Plug in Baby. It's one of muses worst performances of that song live.
Would love to see micro cuts studio version reacted too.
how can you say this is one of their worst performances of this song my man
@@josephprice1210 because there are better perfomaces out there. And I hold Bellamy and Muse to the high standards they set themselves. Didn't say it was a bad performance. But compared to others, this one is one of the worst.
@@FeelMyFerret which ones would you say are better? i would say this one is definitely top 3
@@josephprice1210 I am at work at the moment. Will reply when I get home and get ya the links.
@@FeelMyFerret its been 3 weeks, can we have the links good sir?
I can't believe some of your viewers could react negatively to Muse. Vocally it's amazing and the music is too. Only someone that doesn't understand music could not see the immense talent.
