look man, im 45 years old. a concert junky for 20 years. from age 15 to 35 I was at every rock show that came in 100 mile radius. ive seen 100s of bands. ive been to music festivals in europe. Last year I seen Muse for the 1st time. let me tell you... that was the best show I have ever seen. hands down, no contest, Muse, best show ever.
I've seen Muse 3 times. In a small sweaty room playing to 1000 people, in an "arena" playing to 11,000 people and at an outdoor festival playing to 40,000 people, and they blow the fucking roof off the place everytime. They put on such a great show.
YESS! I've been at one of dem festivals as well and boy, I've never felt as ecstatic in my life before. I knew them but never was a HUGE fan... well now I am. It's not possible to describe...
I'm a 63 year old guy who just discovered Muse for the first time. Yeah I know, like most people I got musically stuck in my 20's to early 30's (classic and hard rock basically) but this band . They rock! What a good time!
As good as Matt is, don't sleep on their bass player. Hysteria is killer. Matt's dad was the guitarist for the band which scored the first US hit of the British Invasion with the instrumental "Telstar."
This guy is amazing what he can do with a guitar while singing and running, one thing is playing simple chords while singing and with Matt he is playing solos while singing. Me being a guitarist that is hard man
@@BosworthMcG keep in mind matt has been doing this since his youth (30 ish years) and it's his song so he would know the riff so well that he could do such a thing
The riff is quite semi hard as well, not something any guitarist can play while sitting still on a chair. Im not saying it's the hardest thing ever but its certainly not easy. Running around and jumping and head banging and all sorts of things is quite difficult!
Matt Bellamy is a classically trained composer. This is a guy who could compose symphonies interpretatiion of rock music. Even those guitar solos are classic triads. He's an insanely talented and practiced individual!
This is such an Iconic live performance. Seen loads of incredible live acts but muse on the simulation theory tour blew my mind of what could happen at a gig.
This chemistry simply comes by the fact that they have been together as a band (without changing the members) for more than 25 years and more importantly friends for about 30 years. It's easier to enjoy your greatest moments in life next to the homies with who you played soccer during your childhood!
Muse concerts are the closest thing to an authentic religious experience I’ve ever had. I remember seeing them once and at the end I found myself bawling with a friend because it had been THAT good and we were so fucking sad it was over. Like, desperate, sobbing all over. I’m also planning on getting a Muse-related tattoo. I’ve been a fan for over 15 years now and I can perfectly see myself dying a fan.
The last concert I went was during a storm.. it was raining and during knights of cydonia you can saw the lightning behind in the sky. It Was AMAZING!!
I’ve seen them every time they come to Los Angeles since 2010 and let me tell you, every concert beats the one prior. Every time it ends, I wanna cry because I don’t ever want it to end. They’re my favorite band of all time!!
I've seen Muse live 2x. It's like being at a concert in space in the year 5000. Dope lights. Perfect on every note. Perfect on every pitch. Perfect synchronicity. Well worth it.
I just them live in Anaheim a few days ago. They are this good. Legend has it the asked MUSE “what would like the budget be for your live shows.?” Their answer was “yes”
I once went to a Cure concert. And there were multiple stages. There was this very small side stage and suddenly everyone was migrating towards this stage. It was Muse. The next time I saw them, at the same venue (Merriweather Post Pavilion), they were the headliners on their Black Holes and Revelations tour. Invincible with all the banners around is the best experience
I had the privilege of seeing these guys in 2006 in a 3000 person-capacity club, Soma in San Diego, right before they blew up. They played with this same energy level, amazing band. Matt Bellamy is a musical genius, and Muse is this generation’s Queen, IMO.
AND they write most of their own music! These guys are a totally insanely awesome group! It was a big deal when Muse gave Adam Lambert permission to perform their song Starlight on American Idol. It's the first time I ever listened to their music; and I can't get enough of them.
There are reasons why Mattew Bellamy is one of the best Guitar Players of the World. Its not because he plays super complicate Licks, but the fact, that his playing skill is very demanding and his is singing and running at the same time... Man that makes ist sooo hard and thats the reason he is one of the best... Nevermind - I love watching your Videos. It feels like Im watching Videos with my best friend at my Couch. Man would be great if I could do it with you :D Lots of Love from Germany
Muse continue to amaze me with their live performances. It's easy to generate big noise even as a 3-piece (Nirvana did it plenty) but to add the amount of complexity and layers that they do to every. single. song - it's not easy unless you have 3 supremely talented musicians. Close your eyes when listening to them and it could easily pass for a 4 or 5 piece band. Add in Matt's ability to multi-task - be it running when playing a solo, singing when playing a complex riff or the array of various effects he switches between whilst singing the song - and it's astonishingly impressive. I've only seen them live once so far but was blown away, can't wait to get to another gig.
Remember seeing muse play to a few hundred people in birmingham in a tiny venue, before they became huge-true professionals, seen them many times since, always fantastic
Matt Bellamy is an amazingly talented individual. builds his own guitars. classically trained vocally and kills on the piano. I'm always so happy when someone finds out about Muse and appreciates them! COUNTLESS times i've answered the favorite band question with crickets. i've been lucky to have seen Muse live 6 times (once was at Lollapalooza) but every time their concert was sold out. but no one ever seems to know who they are lol. I got my bestie into them very easily though and she's my concert buddy. Enjoy!
Unfortunately the crowd REALLY makes this song magic. I saw them in Sacramento, they're not so big here. He didn't really play with the fuzz in the beginning and not everyone knew to sing the second chorus. See them play this in Japan, Korea, Mexico, Brazil, Portugal, most big places in Europe and it's MAGICAL.
No playback, no nudes, no vulgarity, no autotune. Just music, dawn good music, talent and friendship ! The best live band for sure but the best band of the world indeed.
Matthew Bellamy is a modern day virtuoso...not like a Joe Satriani or Guthrie Govan...but writes music that connects with people...he can sing, play piano (Rachmaninov influence in Butterflies and Hurricanes; Chopin in United States of Eurasia - which is a rip on the EU), compose and his guitar playing is un-freakin-real. Jamel do yourself a favor and just listen to the whole record "Origin of Symmetry". Other than one song (Feeling Good, which sticks out like a very sore thumb) the record is from another planet. Fortunately it was the record that introduced me to Muse....hearing it was like "ZANG!" A masterpiece.

I’m also extremely lucky to be there in London to witness this spectacular concert. By far my best moment in my life.
Lead Singer is Matt Bellamy, Bass player is Chris Wolstenholme, and Drummer is Dominic Howard (Dom). They are from the UK and formed their band when they were still in High School where a teacher would let them practice in the gym after school. If you see any of their old stuff you will notice the crazy antics Matt use to do while performing. If Matt didn't like the way the performance was going he would end up destroying poor Dominic's drums. lol Glad you like Muse, the whole concert is worth a watch. Someone has posted it here on yt.
