There is an older movie, Blow, that has a great line in it about ambition exceeding talent. I think that line epitomizes silicon valley. The SVB bank closure showcases that imo. Not saying ambition is bad but an environment that rewards ambition without talent or value is doomed to fail.
@@alantheusthompson5594 i disagree with this. you always need talent to do something. ambition alone is not enough and it will never be enough. it be successful the formula will always be either money and connection or talent and hard work. it will never be just hard work. we need to stop lying to young kids
@The Wandsmen I think you are taking what I said and adding your own twist to it. I agree ambition needs talent to be of true value. But as you said, the formula, for most or at least in recent times, has been money and connections. Money isn't so easy now. My point was silicon valley is not the density of ambitions, it is the density of people chasing money and connections.

I'm surprised by his English proficiency and accent in spite of being an immigrant who moved to the US just 3-4 years ago. I wish I could express myself like this.❤😢
He studied in one of the top schools in India, so he probably had teachers from West. Many actors , cricketers , Rajnikanth daughter they all studied in that school.
I just commented too. He has been in US for just 4 years. Some people, especially when young, are like sponges absorbing languages and skills they encounter. He might have been obsessed with US.
He attended a NRI returnee focussed IB school Chettinad Vidhyashram in Chennai, later moved to a similar school in Pune before goingvto the US. Some commenter found that he had lived in the middle east as well. That could explain.

The thing that always alludes me is how do you get to this point on a vacation visa? Did he start his own company and therefore got a work visa? Winning hackathons to survive is one thing, but getting to the next level is what I'm curious about.
Anyone who discourages you from copying others, show them his story, he not only copied others, but mastered it and became the best at it, be it his cube solving ability or the US accent. Take a bow.
I see the rising interest rate as a very big problem, as more investors will definitely pull out more money from the Stock market, Bitcoin and forex. This might have worked when I was still invest-ing with a couple thousand dollars, but it is more difficult now to decide whether to pull out more than $365k from my port-folio. I know some inves-tors still make that despite the strong bear market. In wish I could pull that feat
I think the whole thing about holding stocks for long term will always apply. So I think you should get a quality broker who is able to analyze and pick stocks that will do well in the long term, else you will be in a long bear ride.
You have a very valid point, I started investing on my own and for a long time, the market was really ripping me off. I decided to hire a broker, even though I was skeptical at first, and I beat the market by more than 9%. I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an analyst.

Trust me if he came to the US to study his parents had money, 95% of the Indian parents wont be able to to send their kids. So dont tell me he came without any money. But I am happy for his success and he hits the hammer right on the nail, most of our studies are to just memorise and mug up things, but we are not taught any practical applications
I also thought that's very strange. In order to be even allowed in the country, you have to prove that you have money and won't be a burden to the government. As I was listening, it definitely sounded like he relied on the competition to survive. Which must have been pretty scary.
It doesn’t make sense that he has no money… like they literally won’t give you a visa unless you prove you’re rich. Especially a young single man. They are a huge risk of overstaying their visa to work. He is leaving key details out.
I have no doubt Kesava is gifted. Many people like his are never a good fit in the highly structured edu system. However what I don't believe is that he came to USA with 0 $ (No Money). That B.S. You wont even get a VISA to fly to US if you cant show min amount required in your Bank or a Sponsor who can put those funds for you.

Very motivational for a kid like me who is studying hard only for the society suppressing my imaginations . I swear I will break out from this and I will make my mother proud smiling in the face of society
What a dbag!
be motivated but not just try to live imaginations, we see 1 success out of 1000, we have to remember that 999 are not success in the same sense of the success of that 1 person........ you may not be prepared to do everything that this person did to be the one among 1000.... :)
Yes brother. We have to do something for ourselves to meet our desires not for the society
Let the money you make not be the way you measure success
That's What Usually happens; You would think that in the Year and Century that We are in; humans would be at Another intellectual and Spiritual Evolution, but instead they chose to Go backwards and want to CONTROL everything & everybody.
The fact that he is 23 just blew my mind! Such a great interview
Really? Even as an Indian? lmao. I don't think so. I expect that.
Yeah..and hes lived in india all his life .only 4 years in usa
Kesava’s story is fascinating. Look how well this man worked on his English and storytelling skills. Inspiring for me as immigrant. Thank you Marina 🙏
worked on his English? 🤣 lmao

@@nonefvnfvnjnjnjevjenjvonej3384 He must be from Iran, bruh.
Yea he barely has any accent its impressive
he said himself that he is an immigrant implying english isn't his first language why are you guys making fun of him💀
The way he spoke.. that fluency and his saying along with the hand movements throughout the video.. these are really great advantages that people tend to leave out.. and top of that such an inspiring story
Moving hands while talking is not appreciated in west .
@@malar1455 I can't speak for all western countries but at least in the US... 50% of Americans like it and think it's professional and a sign of a good speaker (including me), the other 50% of Americans don't like it and think it's shows a bad speaking skill so just do whatever u prefer
@@woohoo721 I was talking about enrire WEST . Not about only America. Definitely most western country people didnt move hands while they speak with others. It is same as they dont like tooting vehicle's hornes on streets. But in India tooting hornes is a normal act.
They use hands only when needed . Eg : deaf people use hand sign . But they dont consider moving hands all the time when they speak with others as a good manner.

What an amazing interview. Lots of this guy story send me back over 25 years to reflect on my own life. It makes me feel like I squandered my life away despite all the degrees I have presently.
We r really v v proud of Kesav as he is our neighbour in chennai and doing extremely well in the No. 1 country in the world at this budding age.
All the best Kesav and we pray and bless that you should excel in all your future endeavours.
Right ambitions, right person and right opportunity at the right place! Happy to him and wish him great success for his future endeavors
Great job Marina!!!. New format is absolutely amazing while watching it seemed to me like l am watching TV show. Keep going all the best for you.
Finally got my American citizenship 🇺🇸.

with 11 yrs in the USA and over a decade older to Kesava, I cant even come close to being this articulate. Really impressive!
This really inspires me being an South indian
she is mesmerized by his ideas, the way he talks and his young age! can see that excitement in both of their eyes!
A spirit of shiva is inside this good man
He is an year younger than me and have already achived almost everything I ever wanted in my life (while I was finishing college and writing code for others).
Very inspiring. Obviously this guy has brain power, $$$, early mentorship and guidance to get this done, skirting the immigration system is impossible.
Silicone Valley is the density of ambitions ! Well said 👏
There is an older movie, Blow, that has a great line in it about ambition exceeding talent.
@@alantheusthompson5594 sorry I didn't read your comment properly
Sil8con valley used to be a dense collective of vision, ambition, talent and skills, hardwork and perseverance. Though the past 20 years have been ruled by web1.0/2.0, which brought in new talent, fast money and greed percolated since 1998. Now in the new era of AI for the next 20 years, I hope the old true golden values comes back into the valley.
nice to see you share the story of Indian founders in the valley. please share more such story

Fascinating! How does someone who came to the US just 3 years ago speak so well with very little Indian accent? Insane what he has accomplished in such a short time.
Pick up the accent? As if it is a great thing to do, NO MAN!
@@varunemani Kindly explain what is great in shedding the Indian accent and talking like an American ? I honour his entrepreneurship skills, but I do not agree that picking a foreign accent is a great thing, sorry to disagree with you! I will open a UA-cam Channel soon, thank you for pushing me. Also, raise your arguments, these are just pot shots.
@@varunemani You want to perpetuate colonialism by enforcing Americans Accent on the Indians ? Indians should speak English in their way, okay ?
Most probably through watching American pop culture shows, movies etc while in India via UA-cam and other mediums. Kids today are speaking some version of American accent almost everywhere

I'm surprised by his English proficiency and accent in spite of being an immigrant who moved to the US just 3-4 years ago. I wish I could express myself like this.❤😢

This is the best thing I watched today! 🙌
Appreciate the approach, grit and perseverance! Looks like he also acquired the American accent faster than the speed of solving the Rubics cube!;-)
He studied in one of the top schools in India, so he probably had teachers from West. Many actors , cricketers , Rajnikanth daughter they all studied in that school.
Wow!🔥This is the very inspiring story! Thank you Marina for the interview!❤️
I found your channel after seeing this video!! Keep it up girl! Nice to see a Tamil boy succeed! 💖 his American accent is 👍
Great , Goosebumps best speech I enjoyed , I can see his brilliance in his speech.
Thank you for putting this interview together, really inspiring :)
Incredible story! How did Keshav learnt English? Like accent and the fluency? Amazed! Eager to know this.
I just commented too. He has been in US for just 4 years. Some people, especially when young, are like sponges absorbing languages and skills they encounter. He might have been obsessed with US.
he went to uwc. It's an international school, they've got a bunch of foreigners and NRIs studying there
@@Chehan17 not everyone in international schools acquire the accent. People in US for decades are still saying “Pijja” for Pizza.
He attended a NRI returnee focussed IB school Chettinad Vidhyashram in Chennai, later moved to a similar school in Pune before goingvto the US. Some commenter found that he had lived in the middle east as well. That could explain.
First, knowing one's mother tongue well helps
Very talented guy and this interview will inspire a lots of people and good to see people like him there and this kind of people give me a hope in life
Golden and life changing 42 minutes.❤ Keshav is actually a great inspiration and he is absolutely genius. 🤓👏👍
The thing that always alludes me is how do you get to this point on a vacation visa? Did he start his own company and therefore got a work visa? Winning hackathons to survive is one thing, but getting to the next level is what I'm curious about.
Did you listen to the interview? He said EB1 work visa and he is going through a tough immigration process, as it should be.
These guy have a superior gene that doesn't go unnoticed,
10:15 is very well explained. 👏4 years here and has simulated well with the lingo, just like my son did. 😍
Anyone who discourages you from copying others, show them his story, he not only copied others, but mastered it and became the best at it, be it his cube solving ability or the US accent. Take a bow.
That is so great to feel adopted when you move ti new place! Especially when you are young.
Absolutely amazing!!!! Really enjoyed watching this.

I'm happy to see someone get himself out of this rotten education system and make it in the real world, incredibly inspiring, thanks for this interview 👏
Many of Those who go through the same rotten education system with schl way more lower in facilities or standard than the level of schl he attended (he went to one of top schools of tamil nadu where teachers r well paid & getting into that schl is difficult) also has proven to make it in the real world, their journeys r even more relatable yet inspiring or gives sort of idea to how make things work even in this environment with less of opportunities available than those developed western nation.

What visa did he get for entering and working in the US? 🧐
The correlation with Rubik's cube and life is that he is very driven, and relentless to get the task done
Trust me if he came to the US to study his parents had money, 95% of the Indian parents wont be able to to send their kids. So dont tell me he came without any money. But I am happy for his success and he hits the hammer right on the nail, most of our studies are to just memorise and mug up things, but we are not taught any practical applications
didnt he clearly say he ended up in the us for a rubix competition.
@@samuraijosh1595 so what he came to US for a Rubiks cube completion and he got a visa bcoz of that 😂😂
@@athul03 no he met some top ceos and stuff there
I also thought that's very strange.
A satisfying success story built on the knack for solving problems and real life challenges.

I have no doubt Kesava is gifted. Many people like his are never a good fit in the highly structured edu system. However what I don't believe is that he came to USA with 0 $ (No Money). That B.S.
