@@njo9966 I like the color temperature of the XP-L HI 4000K more, this emitters are also more efficient. The SST20 5000K version produces a more throwier beam at similar output, which I like. But it tends to be a bit greenish at lower output levels.

Yes the MF 01 mini has a lot of throw and Light but you can only use the turbo for a few seconds before it steps down. You can adjust the thermal settings but it does no good. There is an internal heat sink problem with it. So what good is all that brightness and throw if you can't use it? It's steps down very quickly even in high ramp and the light is still cold. I have one it's very cool but very disappointing. It is a manufacturing defect in all the MF 01 Minis.

Convoy M21A with a horizontal lens is perfect, but not bright enough, especially when the battery is not topped up.

Love that beam tint and pattern. I take it that the HI version would be narrower and more of thrower? Is there any chance a 21700 would fit with a tube if there is enough travel in the springs? Also, would you go for this or the MF01 based on using both at the same time? Excellent video yet again. 👍
The D4SV2 wouldn't turn on with my Samsung 40T 21700 cell :( ...I prefer the D4SV2 aux lights but the MF01 MINI has 3000 more lumens with a 21700 and has a floodier beam.
D4S for sure, you can't see it in videos and it's not easily obvious but it has much better build-quality and thermo-design for heat-sinking. It's throwier but also has diffuse lenses. Way more emitter choices too. More lumens at turn on with 21700 but that just equals to unsustainable-level of heat, and far, far less runtimes.

I have the Astrolux EC01 coming in soon, however Im trying to choose between the Emisar D4SV2, Emisar D4V2 and Astrolux MF01 Mini such a tough choice any advice to which you would pick as an outright winner?

And I can't see a difference between the raised or flat switch retaining ring? All in the image appear to be raised I think. Your the flashlight expert and I understabd each colour tint may be a personal preference but of you were to buy the Emisar you mentioned would you get the same one you own or go for a better option? I do like the ones you review I think which is 5000k but is it cool, neutral, (mule) cool white? Is t best to go for the brightest without been to coolwhite?

MEOTE do aux lights (avoid) and FireFlyLite do aux lights (formerly Fireflies) The FireFlyLite E12R is set to be a monster
