      Platform wise, I prefer TDAmeritrade.
Start trading? Depends on your capital. Robinhood has no commision but subpar platforms.
TDAmeritrade has a flat $6.95 per trade and $19.99 for options. Excellent Platform
Interactive Brokers charge commisions based on the number of shares. Excellent platform.

@@m.harisdg Pretty much what they look, how you can customize it for your fitting. What tools they offer to help get a better view on the price trends and actions. Alerts, notification, overall organizations.
I love the TDAmeritrade platform because I know where to look, and what can they do. They give you the tools and details for your trade, and you can trade directly with that platform.
Later on when you get more experienced, you can even practice option trading and they will tell you how much your gain/loss breakeven prices. They also have option strategies like spreads and iron condors. They also have that on mobile so I can check anywhere I want to.
As far as different platforms(not brokers per se). They are there for, like I said, your preference and style.

Hi Steven, I'm Newbie on this.. do you think , is a good idea to start with Tradenet (just $500 saved) Pros : With $500 they give you $14,000 buying power, Only Nasdaq / Nyse , Pennystocks above $ 3.00 areTradeable, you can short any stock you can trade, $1.50 x per trade. CONS you work 70/30 profits, if you lost $700 your account is blown and closed, you trade CFDs not stocks ... without money i think this is a good option to consider, but Im not shure .. What do you think ? (Pros / Cons, from your point of view...? Tks )

I think it's Brett N. Steenbarger. He's kind of well-known among traders. He's written a bunch of books on the topic.

There is no fluff, no wasted time, just straight to the topic at hand. I would highly recommend your online DVD to other people! Thank You.

New Years Resolution is to learn every fucking thing I can on trading. My psychology on the trade is that most people can't even comprehend the basics. If I can, and also pursue the knowledge further, I will be that much further ahead of everyone else. Its such a small percentage of people taking advantage of these opportunities. So why can't I? For 2019, I will learn. I don't have big money to invest, but I will build my account, and by 2020, I will not be in the same financial situation I've been in for the last 3 years.

Steven is a student of Timothy Sykes but instead of copying everything TIM does , Steven took certain fundamentals he learn and made it his own. Thats how u become a successful trader . Nothing is wrong with following Other gurus to gain knowledge on how to invest . But EOD u need to make it your own to truly succeed .

But Level 2 on think or swim sucks! It only shows top bid/ask for each market maker, no depth. Nasdaq and Edge market maker often have many limit orders above/below that you can't see on TOS Level 2. Etrade pro's Level 2 is way better because it shows all of them. But I still use TOS, that is my only complaint. But it's a BIG one!

@@JohnSmith-zd9ou TOS lags in level 2. And they're probably the worst when it comes to shorting. E*Trade is fine but they still charge high. I switched to Lumentrades $0.50 per trade, still has good charts just like TD. And pretty good with short selling.
