I admire your transparency Frank, Its the sign of a good set up that you have minimal wear, considering that Baby Blue is no show pony, top job, keep it up, Thanks,
Do the journals on the selector shaft wear with the pins running through them, or is the metal on it hard enough that the pins will be the only thing wearing out
Enjoyed your breakdown of the box but I was curious about that particular box. There is a large void around the gears due to it being tubular, the oils could get flung away. Is there a pump?
There is a facility for a pump but it hasn’t been needed In this application. They hold 2 ltrs of oil which might help. 5 years and no oil starvation issues as yet.
Could help in some but on this box the laygears run close to the base of the casing where the magnets would need to go. These are positioned at the point were oil flows through so seems to work well.
At this stagecid be in trouble even if I'd taken photos Frank top man Frank is there a web site that you can go to or an Instagram page were you can find out if there's going to be rally many thanks for all your videos and a happy New year to you and your family

What an incredible gearbox, you must have done that a good few times to be able to get it back together right, having ended up with bits everywhere...

Haven’t had any wear issues on the selector drum at all Connor.
I assume as you say the pins are softer.

A thoughts with the magnets, wouldn't putting a strip of magnets along the bottom on the gearbox catch breakages better?

What about some real powerful ones and put them on the outside?
Happy New year 2021
