This made me emotional. I only found out I was ALK positive Stage 4 Terminal with brain metastasis about 5 months ago. It's been a pretty terrible ride. I don't know if I'll be around for 5 months or 5 years or whatever. All your long term goals are out the window, but at the same time there's hope that makes you not know what you actually should do with your time left. The pain is one thing, but it's everything else that affects your emotional and mental state from an existential point of view that wrecks me at least. It seems we're right on the cusp of great medical science. I just wish I'd been diagnosed a few years later, hah. But also it seems we still have a lot further to go. Hopefully I'll be one of the lucky ones. At this point I'm only hoping I can have a few more years. At 35, as a person that has always been working toward longer term goals and putting off fun for that, it's like I haven't had a chance to really live yet.

I was going to go into a long story about ny personal situation but it would be long and not really what I want you to know or look into so I'm just going to tell you that...look into fasting I have been told no that's not a good idea but when I asked the doctor point blank if he had this cancer would he try it and he said yes if It had spread to the brain, along with so many personal testimonials I've seen on UA-cam I'm 37 and don't have cancer but my mom does and she is much older but if I was you at your age I would 100% try it please research it. I don't know what your stance is on the bible but over and over God tells them to fast and with the science we have about what fasting does to the body, to me that is enough that I would do it I think like a 21 day water fast sounds really hard but I've heard 3 days in you stop being hungry. Of corse I don't know if this is a good idea or not you would need to decide just please look into it.
