Alice Faye is wonderful...she never lost that talent. That bit at the end with her husband Phil Harris is delightful! Thanks for posting.

This clip speaks to Ms. Faye's longevity--performing so actively with full-on singing and dancing later in her career, long after she ended her rigorous Hollywood career at Fox. She was a class act, for sure!

She was an amazing actress, love the old musicals she did at Fox in the 30s. In the 70s film Magic of Lassie she had a bit part in it and sang a song was still brilliant as always.

Boy, Alice can kick up her legs with the best of them! She and the guys are tight! Great number - and Alice is in a cute outfit. And Mr. Martin is totally terrific. They make a great team.

Alice is also quite a tap dancer as evidenced from the Military Man number from the film Poor Little Rich Girl.

    Alice Faye looks great!
Look at those kicks; she has to be about 50 here.
It's a shame that she quit at 30 but she wanted to enjoy family life; I really don't blame her.
She's also a very underrated singer but, as a tenor, she's hard for baritones and altos to deal with.

I was thinking that while they were singing and holding each other, that Phil Harris must be biting his nails backstage. Was not the least bit surprised when he came out toward the end. Seriously though, he and Dean were good friends and it was a great comedy sketch.

Poor Dean; he has to sing more towards "tenor" here to join in with Faye; she had a deeply pitched voice; he's cracking on those high notes!
At least when Faye did "On The Avenue" with Dick Powell, they were BOTH tenors!!!
Indeed, Ruby Keeler had the same sort of problems singing with Powell (as do Faye and Martin have here) since he was a tenor and she was an alto.

No doubt, Phil Harris was a major influence on Dean Martin.

Dreadful dance routine, but nice duet. Awful outfit. Alice and Phil looking good!
