Not into football AT ALL but I love period dramas and history. I loved this series and I'm hoping and praying for a 2nd series. Made me cry the story about them losing their baby Henry. :( excellent series.
Love the series, whether you’re a fan of football or not, the rich history and seeing how social classes are such stark reflection of current world event, is worth watching. Season two please, see how Suter evolve as a pro and Kinnaird expands the FA league
Hearing & seeing the name Blackburn, gave me connection to my English Heritage. I knew the history of Blackburn, England, seeing it unfold on the screen was a treat. Great job!

( I usually avoid 'new' actors, as I find their work and personalities too superficial ) wonderful stuff thanks again x

Kevin's physique is much stronger looking than the real Fergus Suter, who was very slight in stature. Hes built like a modern athlete. To see the real Suter its easy to see how hard his life was. Hard work and lack of food.
I watched this series and enjoyed it. Definitely thought Kevin was on the up n rising so it was a shame to find out what he did. Recently I watched a movie he was in, Sunset Song, and in it his character forces himself on his wife. Then it wasn’t till after finishing the movie I found out about him going to jail 😬
