Cornelius Van Til was my great uncle. Sorry I haven't gotten to know Dr. Oliphint. I'm sure we'd be friends. My Ph.D. is in Christian ethics. An uncle Kees story. When I was in my twenties I told my grandmother that I was going to seminary. She laughed, "The family business, eh?" I said, "Well, I'm sure I'm not worthy to tie Uncle Kees' shoelaces." She patted me on the back and said, "Oh, don't feel so bad, when he was your age he didn't seem so smart either."
What was Cornelius Van Til. . .take on Dr. Machen's segregationist views amd was he a contemporary of Harvey Cahn and the progressives that taught contextual missiology that is regularly mistook for CRT by Tim Keller's conservative critics.
Inspiring!
This is awesome! So cool to hear about someone whose thought has been so influential for me. Now I can think of Van Til the Dutch Vegetable salesman !
Thanks for doing this.

Apologetics should never, ever be separated from Evangelism. It is a subordinate errand boy of tge Pre-evangelistic work of persuasion.
