    I drain my compressors and cut them open for the copper. As long as you have a thin blade on your grinder it takes 10mins from start to finish. As the coppers been lubricant ed it's easy to take out.

    M8 magnetic stainless has different nums and different prices , it would be wise to have your scrap metal yard test the stainless , before assuming that just steel. 300 series is usually not magnetic , but when it gets forced or suffers friction becomes slightly magnetic. Keep up the good work. God bless y'all.

    • @joshp6061
      @joshp6061 Рік тому +1

      More specifically, 200/300 series non magnetic stainless (most grades but not all) develop magnetic martensite when cold worked. Put simply, if the piece of stainless isn’t flat/straight and is bent or formed in some way like the curves in a sink or a bent pipe/tube then it becomes weakly magnetic. The composition doesn’t change though just the crystal structure so it’s still worth the same price

    At around 2:00 mark, there was a big , dangerous capacitor in that AC junction box, please be careful around those my friend. They can apparently kill , or at the least give you a nasty surprise. Use a screw driver or something else with a good insulated handle to discharge them. I know it takes a few seconds but it’s a good habit. I do take them to the scrapyard, I didn’t realize I didn’t point out that these particular ones do not say “pcb free” on them. That’s something I mentioned in the last video where I found these, and my yard won’t buy them unless they’re pcb free

      People always tell me the ballasts are worth it but I’ve never seen a “good” price for them. I only bring them in when I find a large number at once. Not worth the space keeping a bin imo. Though that does sound very very low, maybe that’s the price for the cancerous pcb ones

  • @ecocodex4431
    @ecocodex4431 Рік тому

    Calling artificial sweeteners "poison" is pretty goofy, tbh. I drink artificial sweeteners like Sucralose and Aspertame all the time and have for over a decade now, and it has not harmed me at all. In fact, it probably saved my life, as it basically eliminated a lot of the excess sugar I would have otherwise been drinking.
    That said, evidence shows that artificial sweeteners are perfectly fine for most people. What is dangerous, however, is alcohol, added sugars, and even natural sugars like freshly-squeezed fruit juice. That junk spikes your insulin levels and can even increase your risk for heart disease

    • @thubprint
      @thubprint  Рік тому

      Yeah that does make sense, and thank you for explaining! My objection to them isn’t based on any personal experience, more that even after humans consuming them for so many years we still have just as many studies proving they are harmful as studies proving the opposite. I can understand how they could be useful if traditional sugars need to be avoided but with no solid evidence for or against, I still view them as a risk

    • @ecocodex4431
      @ecocodex4431 Рік тому

      @@thubprint I am glad you are OK with the criticism ^_^ thank you!
      That said, you might be able to find some studies that show minor negative effects of large amounts of Aspertame on the body, but most of the research is observational, and not cause-and-effect. Correlation does not equal causation. Some studies (Many of which paid for by people with a vested interest against "artificial" sweeteners) claim that people who drink Aspertame-sweetened beverages are more likely to have diabetes, for instance. But is it that Aspertame /causes/ diabetes? Or is it that people with diabetes are more likely to consume beverages with no sugar in them?
      Most of the data on that is not really clear, but the FDA and the ESFA both agree with the science that Aspertame is safe for consumption in moderation. And especially safer than foods with added "natural" sugars.
      Sucralose, on the other hand, has basically zero studies that show that it has a negative impact on the body. Only one study has been shown to cause a change in the gut microbiome, but that study was taken out of context, as literally everything you eat changes the gut microbiome. Hundreds of srudies have been done over decades with the WHO, FDA, and more agreeing that it is safe for consumption even well above the Daily Recommended Allowance.
      So while drinking water is always best, consuming non-caloric sweeteners like Aspertame and Sucralose are perfectly fine for the vast majority of people. It is far less of a risk than eating cookies, drinking alcohol, or living in a city.
