There's nothing no better than having a great friend who can help in a time of need. Paul and Rick be safe while scraping in the cold it's so easy to get hurt. I'll pray for your safety God bless and have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
It is absolutely wonderful to see you two working together again. More importantly, I'm so glad your friendship has flourished once more. I'm so happy for you two. God bless you both❣
I know this wasn't an easy job. It sure was nice to hear kind words instead of a lot of cussing , not to mention the F bomb! What a great friend you have. He even listens to your way of doing things! What a blessing!
I'll say this. I'm not a firm believer by any stretch of the imagination, but, this has got to be a sign of yours and Rick's duo. I'm happy hes back and this is great time for you two to hang out. This is absolutely amazing Paul. I M thrilled by this. 🤩
So wonderful seeing you and Rick together again. Thank you sweet Jesus. Way cool find. It will be worth the hard work. God be with Paul and Rick give their bodies strength so they they won't ache. Bless them. Amen. ❤❤
Hey Paul, I used to be a manager at that movie theater! I remember those projectors being up in the projection booth unused for the 6 years I was there. Super super jealous that you found this ha, keep it up my friend!
Besides the most fantastic haul ever I think what I most enjoyed was that you gave thanks to God at the end. It's a rarity to see these days :) Keep up the good work, brother!
Good seeing you guy's together again! I feel and understand when it comes to micro scrapping. I've in a month after removing copper, brass, wiring motor etc. Cleaning separation making then hundreds of dollars often as much as 1000-1800 in a month. I was then hooked on micro scrapping. Also l had the storage space. Happy Scrapping Guys!
Holy Guacamole guys ! What an awesome find ! Hope no one horned in on the other projectors while you were away from them. Can't wait to hear how this saga ends. It was awesome seeing the 2 amigos together again !
We have two scrappers in our town already, but I could sure have a ball doing this in my retirement. Recycler is 15 miles away. I just alert my friend when I see scrap or appliances. It's how he makes his living, so I don't interfere.
Been caught up in house and Christmas chores all day , really tired! Just sat down and what to my wondering eyes appear , the SCRAP AND PALLET MAN , WITH COPPER AND GOODIES AND HIS SCRAPPING CHEER! Now I am relaxing and watching my friend! And non ferrous Rick and glad y'all are here!❤
Why is this channel so addictive??? This is all I have been watching for the past week. This is one of those channels that you discover really small and then in a year boom it has millions of subscribers. Keep it up, you keep us all entertained buddy.
Good to see ya'll workin' together again. Pulling those for later is the best idea you've had. For the rest of the copper in the cabinets just good pliers for the small lines, and bolt cutters for the larger lines would work. You gents be very careful around any projection bulbs. Early in college (way back when) I found out the hard way that if one of them pops on you a leather work glove won't stop the glass from a nasty cut that you don't want. Nice score all around. God Bless!
In my experience sometimes it's easier just to take those big chunks of Transformers back to your shop take them apart on your workbench what I've done in the past. And in my opinion if you sat down and torn apart trying to cut it off I bet you it takes the same amount of time just to take it apart if not less but hey get it done whichever way possible
A agree. Also most businesses don’t want you working on their lot. It’s always best to load on a trailer and work elsewhere, Also sell the jacks on marketplace or Craigslist for $5 each. I sometime take a truckload to a local auction house. An extra $100 here and there.
so would i starting with the copper wires & transformers, brass comes soon after aswell as aluminium the rest i would have flatpacked for weigh in & left the guy with a clean scrapless carpark
Wow Paul and Rick... That's a really awesome haul... Congrats on finding that... Looks like y'all need some buckets to separate things in and a blow torch... Good luck and many more blessings to y'all. Hugs from Texas

Well, you and Rick have a big job ahead of you. Please take your time and be careful not to hurt yourselves. You are gonna have to update us on the totals for sure! Those scissor jacks could be sellable though. I'd check on that possibility before you just junk them. Also, what happened to your cable lift you had for getting heavy stuff into the truck? Remember...work smarter, not harder. Great find and glad to see you and Rick back together. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you both and your families. Thank you for the great videos.
Hi Paul 🖐️.hey Rick didn't know that you were there!! 😀🖐🏼 I'm really glad that the two of you are together again. (YEAH BUDDY) !!!😀. be careful guys!!!
Oh Wow I LOVE this video, just what i've been waiting for! I hope theres a part two and three for the rest of the scap! Love seeing you get an awesome haul! all the best to you in the coming days getting the rest of the scrap!!
How wonderful a mentor and mentee!!!! Teaching and learning from from each other. This channel just makes me happy to know I am witnessing Christ at work. Bless you both so very proud!!!!!!!!!
Greetings Paul. Great treasures that you have there. Always good to see Rick. Please dont the two of you get hurt/injured. May the two of you have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Be safe, healthy &blessed
merry Christmas what a find, my brothers scrape in Florida ,you would not believe how much they get companys call them when they have scrape ,they dont do much now but for 30 years the PHILLIPS BOYS where the men they are up in age, but just amazing ,take care stay safe
Awesome, hope to see the final results. I was thinking the whole time, take it back to the shop, it's too cold out, glad my Jedi mind control worked, even after the fact that this is a recording😃
Awe....Paul....Good friends are worth the price of Gold..or in this case...copper. So nice you can call on folks that are willing to assist. So happy for you both! ❤️
I’m not a full time scrapper. If I’m around town and find certain items I pick them up .#1 thing I will always pick up is bicycles. Got a partnership with the local neighborhood bike guy. I get them for him to scrap and use for parts. He’s retired and rebuilds bikes and he makes awesome money. Get a base rate per bike condition and if their what he calls specials I make good money.
Hi pretty new subscriber here and just wanted to say I have watched a few others and I enjoy watching yours the most. I really hope your family appreciates your hard work because I have never seen anyone work harder than you! And while you are working you keep a cheerful attitude and when you are done you give God Thanks and Glory! Glad things seem to be going well for you! God Bless Don’s wife Shirley
Wow that was a great show and a blessing .thank you ,for the video and the message. I love to see all that cooper . God bless and glad to see Rick back.. Merry Christmas sir and again god bless . Love to watch you show . It inspires me to get up and scrap and work through my pains .
My Dad would have gone insane for that much Copper! You not only scrap metal but do a service buy hauling away the excess junk. Those projector cabinets weighed a ton. As Grandpa said- "Used the proper tool for the job" And it was cold outside. Not the best combination. The battery power tools aren't strong enough to do the job. I know you just used what you had, but you guys needed a generator and heavy duty tools. A 6" grinder, a good saws all and slot of blades and discs. I would have kept the jacks! My hats off to you guys, that was a lot of work.
Adverse weather conditions usually turn out thinking caps upside down, and we make illogical decisions. Don't want to see you gentlemen get hurt, so think over how to approach the job tomorrow. Good luck, and loved the video.
The biggest copper score I ever heard of was the ASSeEMbLy Mall remodel in Somerville Mass. It was originally a Ford car plant. Then a First National Supermarket Warehouse. It was remodeled into a mall, part of it was demolished. Evidently huge copper cables were still in the building from the car,or truck, asembly line. Supposed to have been abou t$ 250 K in scrap value and that was many many years ago.
ok few hints and tips id like to suggest for next time make the job a lot easier by taking the van to the bulk of the heavy stuff instead of wearing yoursleves out dragging it, simply lift to van in one go. secondly it pays to have a VERY sharp chissel and a heavy sledge hammer to split the copper strands from transformers. one solid hit will cut clean through the coper flip it over and repeat, stripping all the copper and leaving the the no ferrous to go to shred while copper is CLEAN and also most valuable to me scrapped. and last but not least a really good pair of wire cutters goes a LONG way
Digital projectors were installed throughout the industry by 1997, so 20 years sounds about right. Digital projector companies paid the theaters for the 35mm equipment so it would not go back on the market, however they never removed the stuff leaving it to sit in the projection rooms for years.
You hold up those scissor lifts and toss them in as shred, to get paid .06c, maybe? On my local "tools/craigslist" vintage (and those are not anywhere near cheap stamped metal, like ebay has) scissor jacks just like that are selling for $10 each. They are fully functional, vintage tools. US Made, and appear to be cast parts.
