Their fake emotions are the best reflection of the artificial, plastic, and unnatural results produced by this AI.
Yeah, they should have just given a demo of the tool instead of the weird blog style intro and outro
maybe Ai wrote the script and helped them rehearse?
Yea, but look where we are from one year from the first gen AI music, and think where we will be in the next 2-3 years.
and: A$OBE!
stop stealing musicans life with lifeless plastic s***.
AI = without soul, will NEVER learn emotions.
Can just steal. Bye bye adobe.
Bro they do it for reap music cuz uts marketing also he might be excited about it the dude is writing prompts in cmd its very early
How can we make generic, lifeless, garbage music even worse? Adobe: we got you.
💯💯
People actually don't know that this video actually was made by AI aswell. The CEO prompted "Make two NPCs with zero personalities make music generated by AI". What a time to be alive!!
true
Well said lol
Thank you, saved me thinking up a suitable comment for this dire video.
Why are there no employees in the video? Are they all robots now?
Remote employees or robots
All of the computers in the background are the employees.
The 2 guys are employees and they cleared the room out. Seriously lame video.
Hahahaha they are all homeless
Probably made on a Friday. Lot's of people in post-pandemic Seattle work from home now one or more days a week, Friday being the most common day to stay home. Agreed that the location is an odd choice to film this in. If Adobe is serious about audio, then surely must have at least one audio studio in their offices… Right? Bueller?
Horrible situation!! to quote Jurrasic Park: "Your Scientists Were So Preoccupied With Whether Or Not They Could, They Didn't Stop To Think If They Should.”
🔥 quote
Adobe would rather put a million ai in their software instead of just fixing it to make it work as it's supposed to be in first place.
yep
Its some stock music loops and a spectrogram vst. LOL
mfs literally said "it generates" when it "came up" with an already existing, and arguably very famous, melody. It's such a joke
“What else can it do?”
“Remove thousands of jobs, destroy musicians and create a shoddy trite soundtrack to accompany the end of humankind”
@tyashin111 all fun and games until it comes in and takes your career
@tyashin111 You’re right, just the end of originality, authenticity, and reality itself.
lol... dont be naive... you will bend these tools to your will. They will eventually hack emotions perfectly. Musicians are used to getting Fd... nothing new here... 1000's of jobs were already lost daily thanks to spotify and stock music sites.... End of mankind was coming with or without AI. This fear will kill and divide us faster than AI.
Since Adobe loves making more reasons to disrespect creativity and show that they don't care about who enjoys the process, here's a chatgpt response:
🌟 Wow, Adobe never ceases to amaze me with their innovation! This new AI product sounds like a game-changer. Can't wait to see how it revolutionizes the creative process. Adobe always stays ahead of the curve, and I'm excited to see what incredible things we can create with this new tool! 💡🎨 #AdobeAI #Innovation #CreativityUnleashed
Music written by robots, for robots. Reminds me of the advertising in WALL-E. Who are they advertising to? Everyone is gone.
The extension tool looks good, but I struggle to see its utility beyond making a background track end when the video ends. None of this sounds good, and Adobe Audition has barely been updated for over a year. No AI noise reduction or de-reverb which would ACTUALLY be useful.
Still, it's yours. No royalties to be paid to anyone.
Also, technology tends to improve with time.
@@F_wanwhat’s yours? Your know we have to keep renting the softwares actually?
Yeah, it's a bummer tech never gets updated ;)
and with Firefly that you'll have to pay for for more credits point, just another way to pay more for the Adobe Cloud you already pay every month.
Will certainly become cooler with time but agree wih the OP for the Adobe Audition update pace of useful improvement.
@@F_wanliterally every other company who got their feet wet has better AI music gen tjan what's shown in this video. Yes technology gets better. so why is this video stuck in the 2010's? As a musical composer who's not even against AI gen, I'm offended.
There's going to be such a cultural revolution of people who can and people who can't. Be in the people that can group. I'm going to practice my Microtonal scales now because AI can't replicate it.
Yes! Please! More bland cookie cutter music to flood the market. Can’t wait.
Fix bugs that have been plaguing users for years ❌
Focus on AI tools that will take jobs from the core userbase ✅
I didn’t notice any credit to the opera Carmen. That’s where the initial tune is from.
It's from 1875, and is not subject to copyright, so no credit required.
True, but I got the impression they were implying that the original tune was AI generated. Would love to hear what it does with only a text prompt, not something that already exists. @@hearmenow909
The way my existential dread evaporated immediately
Band in a box? More like bland in a box.
This is exciting technology and I for one cannot wait to try it and I know it will improve over time. This is the future, so hang on for the ride. AI cannot duplicate my creativity or abilities, but I have high hopes that it will save me time.
Adobe. Coming for Music Producers everywhere. Is there a single industry you don't want to destroy for everyone else?
The first set of examples were based off a midi piano rendering on the theme of Carmen - Habanera. 0:20 not the best way to suggest creativity or originality, nor to face the ethical challenge of authorship.
this guy gets it
It's too old to be a copyright issue
Neat tech - but actually making the music is the best part ❤
AI generated emotions
...is going to become so refined and effective you wont want anything else. This is the DOS era of AI.
0:50 broski if you got excited by what you heard, there's no way you make music lmao
Perfect for reaggetton
Let me guess, we'll be able to create Lord of the Rings or Dark Knight movie soundtrack music.
Jokes on them, that's basically every movie soundtrack for the past 25 years.
They really have to release this stuff prematurely for investors hooked on AI. Generative AI music is probably the least realistic outcome of the research pouring into AI, where AI-aided post processing, editing and mastering is less sexy for investors but would return huge efficiencies to audio pros - huge. After all we already have solutions for making music creation available to anyone even if they don't have music skills. Just go to Guitar Center and pick out an electric instrument in any department and be blown away with the sounds available. You don't need an AI to generate music folks. But post processing? Of course.
All our jobs are gonna be lost to ai. Even music making.
It doesn't really sound convincing. I'm just glad there are comments like yours that at least contribute something productive to the whole discussion.
As ever was, the arbiter of quality will be the listener and an audio professional will be the sign off at the last stage of the production process. AI tools will accelerate the delivery cycle but shouldn’t ever replace the human in the loop who has to be accountable that the art - or product of you’re on the commercial side of things - is worthy of release, either as the ultimate individual representation of artistic endeavour, or complimentary to a range of other product aspects that need cohesion to make sense. In short form - we are a long, long way away from machines developing a sense of taste that is unique in its own right - and even if that ever does appear - who’s to say we’ll even like it? Keep building the tools, they will be used - musicians don’t dismay. Seize the day.
Izotope already brought ai to post processing years ago, and it’s fantastic tbh
Good point. The Iterative nature of software development today is also the reason you get stuff thats only half baked.
Game Over Beethoven!
They filmed this on a weekend?
Right now it sounds bad, but I can see the improvement within a couple of years. Scary! What are we the huimans going to do if the machines will do everything?
I'm a bit spoiled by Suno AI's music generation. I expected this would be impressive, it wasn't.
Will it pull a Google and transform all my music into Rap or R&B?
it will definitely transform music.
Is it dope? is it really that dope?
Dude no. Watch the video
Que. Yeni me encanta, ojalá que algún día tenga un canal de UA-cam en español, solo el 4 idioma más hablado del mundo
I think in the long run this could be a good tool for song writing -- I'm a guitar player, and I'd love to be able to record guitar and bass tracks and have AI add drums and vocals for works in progress. That said, I'm worried it'll instead be used by companies that only need music that's "good enough" for ads, video games and film scores.
Making beats in any DAW in pretty straight-forward. As long as you record your guitars to a click, adding a backing rhythm track is literally just plugging in hits on the timeline. You can even just do one measure and then copy/paste to fill out the rest of the section. From this video, it's clear that the technology just isn't there yet, and even a beginner hand-programming basic parts in a DAW will out-perform the results generated by this program.
TC had a pedal that did this in realtime 10 years ago.
That's exactly how it'll be used. Don't dream you'll be the special one who gets to take advantage of AI. AI is a corporate tool to devalue the worth of professionals everywhere.
no need to worried, cause that's literally what will happen. Why would a corporation full of pompous, fart sniffing hire actual composers? They barely give a damn about their actual employees at the bottom level, let alone about contractors like graphics-, web-, or UX designers, or music composers. The more money they can keep out of the biggest cost of a business, the better for them.
Yes for personal projects, AI can be a cool little tool. But if you think you can use AI as a tool whilst working on a project for a company? Lmao not a single chance
Ezdrummer already does that
I feel sorry for the generations to come - growing up with soulless music created by bots.
I don't understand these statements. If these musics are really soulless then why are you worrying, Man made music should outperform them in toplists.
Soulless happened already. Dont stress about that. Just wait till AI scans your mind and produces EXACTLY the tones and emotions you love. Or when people come together and the AI uses your personal preferences to make genres you never heard of by blending or fading between everyones preferences. This is the DOS era of AI. The 386 moment.
it should give you midi at least
Thanks Adobe for trying to find even more ways for corporations to screw creatives out of jobs. Also, from what artists did you steal the material that you used to train your AI on? I think they should get royalties.
From what I've read, Adobe uses music from the public domain and licensed music.
@@knoepfler34It's really no better. No one put their music out into the public domain thinking it'd be used to completely devalue music as a concept.
I also view it critically when there's an attempt to completely remove creatives from the process. I have nothing against the use of AI, or more accurately ML, (since these things can't really be called intelligent), when it comes to supporting creatives and being a helpful assistant. However, regarding the statement about whether it devalues anything, I must say that it's very subjective. What I've seen in this video has not diminished the value of music for me. And the fact that sound is produced with machines is, in itself, nothing new.
@@knoepfler34No, I agree, whatever this video is showing off is junk. My washing machine makes more appealing noises. I'm sure you're aware what's happened to writing and digital art in the past year, though. No reason to not expect 'AI music' to catch up soon. And sure, if this tech could somehow be left to the hands of creatives only, great. It isn't though. The reality is thousands of grifters use AI to drown out all media that doesn't already come from something widely known. Just look up '1000 AI shorts' on UA-cam and you'll realize how bad it already is, and it's only going to get worse. Devaluation is an understatement. I know professional artists who are abandoning their lifelong dreams left, right and center over AI.
AI must be regulated, or better yet shut down entirely. It serves no purpose other than to suck the soul out of those who aren't obsessed with materialism.
2:14 Was this track made with your tool? or is from a library?
Yo dog, he's so cool
Not impressive…. Has nothing to do with GenAI. It‘s just a „search“ function for loops and some very low level prompts for easy tasks like „fading out“. Or did I get something wrong here?
My favorite part was how the ai places the snare on the 1 and 3.
Love me some good corporate cringe in the morning
Will I have separate layers of all the instruments that can for example remove the guitar and add a cello?
Eventually yes.
I hope nothing will beat the music producers
So like Suno, but no voices, a step in the right direction at least.
it still sounds like General Midi instruments kit or sample-loop-cds from the 90s and the interviewer had to swallow a big chuckle at the "r&b"-example , but I appreciate the effort. been waiting for something like this for the last 20 years of music-making. contact me for beta-testing.
Dear Adobe,
This type of software is going to put you out of business. When software can make something like art for corporations to utilize in advertising, there is no longer a need for human creatives to do this work. Without humans, Adobe has no customers. Corporations aren't going to pay to use your music generating software when they can get free AI generated music using any of the free AI music generating sites that will be available in just a few months.
You should have developed a music software tool that enables real musicians to work more efficiently on their own 100% human made music (art).
This software doesn't do that. It replaces the human customers and eliminates your customer base.
If you think that corporations are going to pay for Adobe Music AI generating software licenses you are mistaken.
There will be free AI music generators that work better than your software in a few months.
You should have focused on serving humanity. Instead you jumped on the bandwagon of joining the AI race to have the first music generating software platform that works. Frankly, it sounds bad and you know it does. It's filled with audio artifacts and is so generic that it's boring and uninspiring and fake sounding. Anyone can spot a fake these days.
Your shortsightedness will cost you everything.
Sounds horrible.
Or you can just take the time to learn and create what’s in your imagination.
Technically, this isn’t even music creation. It’s the manipulation of existing music without attribution. No thanks.
It will be a sad future for sure. Music making is something humans embrace since day one. Why would we want robots to make this for us? Just to save money? If that goes any further their will be a lot of people without a Job in all areas.
This is exactly what they want. They are creating a dystopia the most imaginative minds in science fiction couldn't conjure up. Tell everyone to resist AI.
Awesome! Now music and musicians can be devalued too
Imagine if they had invested all that money into something that sounded good instead.
Fear and runaway emotions (monkey brains) will (and is) killing us faster than any tech tool can.
So the use case of trimming/lengthening music for a video edit is pretty rad.
Hype. Can you change the music for clients? If you aren't a pro musician? Show me ai that can change a bar from 4/4 to 3/4 then back to 4/4. So dumb
Generative AI stock music companies vastly over estimate how much control people need over their stock music.
This is amazing. I can't wait to use it. When can we use it?
Cant wait for the time where a device connected in place of a pre-amp will function as a dac from an analogue source, will take that signal, feed it to a locally trained AI as ground truth, and the generative stack will output and equivalent digital signal, that will be converted back into analogue from another DAC and sent on the fly on an analogue system. Adding subtle changes in structure o representation of that support, or completely reinventing it from ground-top, on the fly, while it is running.
That would be the holy grail of audio restoration, of audio mixing (lets take that wax cilinder of that old jazz recording and lets transform it into a native modern recording by completely resynthesizing it), and would open literally countless possibilities both inside and outside a studio to transform basically any premade destructive music support, into a non-destructive one.
Also, instead of releasing wave 2 AI generative products as PaaS, allow me to train, host and compute my own datasets at home.
Its okay to give you money for that, but I want MY data in MY storage, and I want to write my own logic.
That's the strategy which is still universally dangerously missing in anything Generative AI, today.
right, this is cool, and note that it's post processing, not generative, as in "text to music" which is what they seem to be cozying up to here with "give me some sad jazz" (yuk). Give a consumer a text-to-music box on one hand and a digital music instrument attached to a plugin library on the other hand and I know which one the consumer will fall in love with inside of 15 minutes.
Glass + cap guy = without ears...
Where is the tool?
It’s right where you need it to be
The biggest tool ever is lurking in my Froot of the Looms !!!
Adobe struggling financially, proof
Will it be possible to create a specific track?
For example, I have a piece of music in the work of length and I want to add a violinist.
Can the tool hear the piece of music and create a violin track that suits it?
Adobe: Spent a ton of hours and talent to create AI for music control.
Also Adobe: interface user not friendly, just a text prompt.
This is f*** terrible. How about making reliable tools for human?
Total Darkness.
The 'Casio' of AI music....for now.
Can it create for me a harmonious connection between two different pieces of music?
The guy with the hat is pretty resemblant to Mark Bowman of "The Mitchells against the Machines", who almost causes a global genocide by artificial intelligences.
Yes Adobe! All those millions from subs are well invested.
It sounds like crap poopy poopy crap
Good feature but please Adobe, give Audition more love. It's a shame that there are no bins in Audition, I also wish there would be some way to make the work with longer text projects easier. A audio to text function like in Premiere would be fantastic. Maybe a batch renaming for all tracks for different audio takes. I also wish some way to add full scripts for recording which will somehow help in the recording process.
We appreciate you writing in. You can always share your ideas here so that it get more eye and votes: adobe.ly/3P7GSj7
Thanks. ^KR
The white guy do all the work and they put a black guy talk just to seems more inclusive. -_-"
well, whatever "work" there is to do anyway.
That hip hop was dope.
We know it's just the beginning so excited to see how this evolves.
Ngl every melody in this video sounds wack😂
A.I. will eventually be the end of all of us.
reminds me a little bit of band in a box
Oye no mas IA entendiste solamente fotos de 100%humano
How to get access to this AI?
Asking for access to ai tools, will be the only skill needed to be "creative" . Period.
Looks like I'm going to lose my job
In the wise words of red shirt guy at Blizzcon.... is this an out of season April Fools joke?

Ok.
A good 1 april joke!
"But does it come in black"
But does it have Bluetooth hmm..???
Why does Donovan Mitchell work at Adobe?
Only if Adobe would've tried to create AI tools to help the creators, instead of trying to destroy them!! This is pathetic.
I can create hundreds of songs a day now.
So can every other grifter. You will never be noticed.
well your username checks out. You don't create shit
@@AnymMusic false, he creates more trash talks flooding the web
Sounds like absolute trite garbage. How much more soulless can these Silicon Valley companies get?
Sounds lame 😊
Why does no one create something more useful and still using HUMAN'S BRAIN, PERSONALITY, PASSION bla bla such as AI Pianist (Just playing, not creating by copy others like Concerto Creator AI); split sound from sample without noise for Music Producers or Audio Engineers; De-ess, De-noise, De-hum with more effective by AI or sample manager ai which can help artists choose sound more effective?
I don't wanna see Skynet destroy human cilivization by helping human CREATE sth :))
(All of sample in this video is really bad and you guys should give up this project and develop or training AI for sth more useful)
Good job, Adobe.
Meh. Didn't sound good to me
How out of touch are you Adobe? I mean you're voted as the best company to work but you're also the worst company according to most artists so you are definitely not a customer focused company.
Just fix the damn software instead of putting so much bloated AI.
Cool
Someone needs to create an AI that cleans out all the digital artifacts from AI in generated audio. I can't imagine any high end production finding this output as actually useable. You could hear the artifacts intensely on airpods.
Ребят. Куйня все это ))) Невозможно. Попробуйте переиграть композитора уровня Рыбникова. Боюсь ну никак ))
Awkward corporate boardroom concoction right here (carefully calibrated attempt at being cool)...
Not impressed yet. Keep it coming though
