      It took him a while but depending on how hungry Knee was to play professionally he would eventually. It’s just Tekken 8 is so much different from the other games and the way you have to play the game. Not to mention just how there’s a obvious difference from the top characters to the others

    • @cadec222
      @cadec222 3 місяці тому +15

      @@captain_furret What's funny is that if you go and look at pre-Tekken 7 Knee matches, he was playing hyper aggressively! Tekken 5 and 6 definitely rewarded offense more than defense, Tekken 7 is the outlier; it's just that we had Tekken 7 for a decade, and those habits are hard to break.

    • @Gharnation
      @Gharnation 3 місяці тому +9

      Uneducated statement. The fact he’s taking Bryan of all characters all the way in tournament, IN T8 might I mention! Who compared to other characters that thrive much more in design and kit in T8. Is so impressive in itself.
      There’s a reason no one else plays tournament Bryan apart from 1 or 2 loyalists, it’s obvious his kit by theory isn’t good enough to stand toe to toe with others. He could easily pick up another OP character, but I personally think he wants his Bryan to be the first Bryan to take out a big tourney. Which speaks volumes about a GOAT like knee.

      cant compare games tho, bro.
      Tekken is way more about reading the opponent than other games.
      In e.g. counter-strike you also have older players, but those are always in the leader role who are there to keep the team calm and read the opponents team to then shot call. Their firepower always takes a big dip with age and thats why that role is the only one where they can play longer and even then firepower is still important, which is why so far 33yo is the oldest at the highest lvl there.

      @@viniciuslessa3480 non tracking moves may track to one side, or have slight tracking to both. in the first case, they'll usually all cover the same side in the same character, with few exceptions, that's why we say for example that kazuya is weak to his right (you step him to YOUR left), and jin is weak to his left. however, in kazuya's case, db3 (stature kick) will track to his weak side instead, and d1+2 has slight tracking to both sides, which means you need to sidewalk to avoid it. and for some god forsaken reason strings on t8 now tracks a LOT. sometimes even sidewalking to the correct side has you getting clipped by strings or heat smashes. this, combined with what feels to me as a more strict side step timing, has made lateral movement a lot less reliable in t8, my opinion. also, the game introduced a lot of "forced mixup" situations in which stepping/walking is impossible without getting hit. the smaller step window also makes stepping while negative very hard or impossible, which goes back to the "forced mixup" situation. so yes, at least for me, an intermediate player, lateral movement is WAY worse in 8 than 7

      Idk the counterplay to Bryan certainly isnt clear, other having slower moves, except some which are really fast, he does not have any particularly strong weaknesses. Pretty much every move leads into a CH combo so contesting him is risky, he got good gap closer tho

    • @ButchKumesogut
      @ButchKumesogut 3 місяці тому +6

      @@LibertyForAll-l3q Bryan's big moves are slow, linear and very steppable. He struggles big time against turtling, and if you can block hatchet kick on reaction, he has very limited options. On the flip side, he has bad panic buttons and an awful power crush, so he also struggles against +frame rushdown. He thrives in the mid range waiting to snipe a CH, so either get in his face and overwhelm with +frames or turtle up and limit his options.

    • @MrMangus
      @MrMangus 3 місяці тому

      I feel Bryan loses a bit more, just because his gameplan is much more reliant on the wall than drag’s is. Bryan’s kit is built around wall pressure and wall carry, while drag has a more general kit of lockdown, poking, and mixup which aren’t lost on a stage without walls. Drag doesn’t match Bryan in combo damage without walls but his neutral and pressure is far superior to Bryan’s

      Well, he is a hypocritical moron so don't expect anything more than that.
      He is the old crybaby, he is just conveying it in another way. He used to throw literal temper tantrums like a 4 year old. Now it's more verbal diarrhea of the dumbest takes and since he is more calm, people actually agree with him because he doesn't sound like a cat in heat+toddler crying anymore
