Harrysound they used the orchestra in the right parts. You cant have too much going on in the recording or it becomes a jumbled mess. Im curious to hear the other songs like watch over you and all that. This song was definitely not written for an orchestra to shine. Others maybe more than others

Thats fine if you dont like it, but for the general population who like to test speakers and listen on a good set, this is killer and they allowed a good headroom without it being too echoey
I once met Tremonti after an Alter Bridge show. Just hung out outside after the show. Great guy to talk to. Very down to earth. He was honest about how passion for rock and roll in the US was fading. Yet he continued to do what he loved. It’s so great to see him (and the band) make music and have his dreams further realized. Can’t wait for this album.

Almost 2 years later and this still BLOWS ME AWAY!!...Goose bump inducing progressive rock monsters...Scott kicks serious ass, and Myles has truly one of the most epic rock voices of all time...can only imagine what it was like to be in an orchestra and be asked to participate in this...religious experience....way to go boys...
Im in my 40's now. If they Myles and Alter Bridge had been about when I was in my teens then the likes of G'n'R wouldn't have been as big as they were. This man is a true rock god
Miles Kennedy's voice and mark playing that guitar with an orchestra like that is like putting a V12 supercharged engine in a small car the power is just nuts and totally blows you away.
Miles doesn't need to be massively up front in the mix because his voice has such a juicy set of frequencies that seem to slice right through the mix. Now Dio on the otherhand was always lost in the mix which is a crime against humanity. For all the comments on here about the sound being wrong. Go try and do that in a huge venue with a 7 second reverb and a 40 piece orchestra up against a rockband. Good luck. I think they struck it right.
Agreed. The people commenting on the balance of sound being wrong would probably struggle to get a vocalist to cut through in a 4 piece band at a venue with a half second reverb.
Didn't have incredibly high expectations of this based on the mixing of previous live albums but wow oh wow. That was everything I wanted and 10x more. INCREDIBLE . Can't wait for this album!!
