  • Sri Uttaradi Matha (Peetha of Hamsanamaka Paramatma) descended from sakshat Jagatpati Hamsanamaka Paramatma through Brahma Deva and Sanakadi Muni. Sri Uttaradi Matha is one of the premier Dvaita Vedanta monasteries (mathas) descended from Jagadguru Sriman Madhvacharya through Sri Padmanabhateertha, Sri Jayateertha and their disciples. Sri Uttaradi Mattha is an important institution among the Madhvas and also deeply respected among the Vaishnavas. Sri Uttaradi Matha is one of the major Hindu monastic institutions that has historically co-ordinated Madhva tradition and monastic activities through satellite institutions in South India, preserved Sanskrit literature and pursued Dvaita studies. Sri Uttaradi Matha has been a library and a source of historic Sanskrit manuscripts. Along with other Hindu monasteries Sri Uttaradi Mattha has been active in preserving the Vedas, sponsoring students and recitals, Sanskrit scholarship, and celebrating annual Madhva Jayanthi. The current peethadhipati or the acharya holding the pontifical seat is Sri 1008 Sri Satyatmateertha Sripadangalavaru. Sri Uttaradi Matha has huge following in South India compared to other Madhva mathas.
