Aussies making some killer punk styles rn. These guys, and I love the chats too, Courtney Barnett doing her thing as well. Maybe not punkish but still great
Im 32 y/old these daysm i grew up sk8n, listen to nofx, pennywise, strung out, refused, 28days etc etc. I used to smash beer bongs and toke doobies at my local beach with mates. listenin to you guys reminds me so much of me n my mates when we used to jam.. man, you guys have a massive responsibility to reawaken this type of music to our youth. I fukn love u guys and im prpud of u. Thanks for re-instilling some faith back into me with modern music. Fresh as a pine tree. Cheers.
I discovered this band about 5 days ago, and have been non stop listening since. My dad went to their school for 2 years, and they happen to live really close to us. It’s pretty awesome.
I listen to you guys since you had 1000 views on your songs. You were so unknown that you even accepted me on facebook XD And every time I was listening to your songs I asked to myself how it was possible that you weren't so appreciate and famous as you deserved. But, I was also totally sure about your future success. Now you're on the wave. Go on like this guys. Love ya!
What a massive band with a huge massive sound. Everytime its a little quieter on the verses then they step on the distortion pedal and the chorus just explodes out. It Plumets me back to the early 90’s! For instance Smells Like Teen Spirit which is probably the most famous and well known, Stars by HUM, Sunnyday Realestate- Circles, the Pixies pretty much invented that style of kick so of course they are included, Sweater Song by Weezer, so many songs off the rentals first album, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, the list goes on forever! So yeah this band takes me back to an important time in my life!! Keep up the great work fellas!!!!!!
I lived in the same house with James Tidswell. He was so grounded and every other night we used to hear insane guitar riff, while we are doing cones. We have had couple of sessions together, he never told he was in a band and famous. I found out a day before i left the unit.
[Verse 1] Try With a little bit of action They don't build the world this way It's alright She lied With the face of Cleopatra The world ain't built this way It's alright [Chorus] Now I'm gonna go outside Nothing's gonna save us Nothing's gonna save us My only dope calypso My only dope calypso My only dope calypso That's alright [Verse 2] Wise Like three men, they never got it They keep death staring me down I'm alright Safe So safe, they never asked us The world ain't built this way It's alright
6/10/13 a day I'll never forget. I'd been nervously counting the days and hours until I could get my hands on this album. I knew deep down it was going to amazing but for some stupid reason I kept having these terrible thoughts that after the release of their self titled album this album could never compete with it or worse it would just be OK. After racing back to my work van and ripping off the plastic the next 5 minutes completely erased all those negative thoughts. Pure Bliss! Thanks guys :)
What a massive track!! Clean guitar intro and all of a sudden bass drops and Russian Big Muffs for everyone, drums hitting hard on that dark Heavy K crash ride! It takes me back to simpler times with bands like Nirvana, Sunnyday Realestate, HUM, My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, and Smashing Pumpkins layering three OD/Fuzz pedalss like RAT/Big MUFF, Boss Hyperfuzz, Boss Super Overdrive, Boss Ovtave Fuzz, along with a whole other host of modulation pedals and all the while blasting through multiple 2204 JCM800 Marshall Stacks!!!!
love the footage of brisbane. also, 3:58 looks like the place in west end i went to watch a mates band practice. never noticed it before but vocals in this song are kinda like a mix between fat mike and tom de longe
Having been a teenager during the early 90’s grunge scene, this reminds me very much of the music during that time but of course with its own style and flare.
Luke Henery's son is a star in the making, mark my words! He stole the show a few times last night during the band's album launch for Hungry Ghost in Brisbane. This song is definitely a grower, love the guitar intro to it and the jumping harmony vocals at the end. Hope this song does well for you guys. :-)
Sadly I have tuned out from Radio station's plus do not get around to live music venues anymore I have missed out on these guys for how ever long now, I only came across their music a week ago I am a fan of what ever I have heard. UA-cam can really take you on a journey every time I decide to explore.
Well I live in Australia, but unfortunately I can't see them either because it is an 18 plus gig and I am only 17. However, I did meet them at a signing and they are legit so down to earth. I really hope you get to see them one day.
+SincerelyAnonymousTV Yeah they are pretty mad. I love hearing that people from overseas loving bands that I would consider a local band, as they are from my hometown and it makes me feel proud.
Remember these guys from reading Blunt mag a few years back but never gave them a listen, oh how silly of me. These guys rip. perfect for my skate playlist
The bass line is, at times, very similar to Silversun Pickups' Lazy Eye, which is a little ironic given that VS absolutely crushed that song on Like a Version.
1st heard them on radio show : SPINOUT w/Mark Curdo on WCYY- happy yo have found it @ Bullmoose-music store in Maine. It's always w/me on all road trips :-) fantastic album !!!
For me this song is the 2000's encapsulated. Deep deep nostalgia when I hear this song, it just takes me back to a place as a teenager and makes me feel young again. Skating and drinking cheap ass beer, doing stupid shit with friends. Just being young.
I figured it out!, n figured out why i love this band so much. Its cuz they sound like if Smashing Pumpkins n blink had a baby n those are like my favorite bands
Australia is bringing back skate culture in the best way possible . . . also reviving grunge and punk ... love it
I love Australia
Dante Consonero fuck yeh so gnarly
Aussies making some killer punk styles rn. These guys, and I love the chats too, Courtney Barnett doing her thing as well. Maybe not punkish but still great

The guitar in this makes me so weirdly nostalgic.
I listen to you guys since you had 1000 views on your songs. That’s cool would been nice not being treated like a star
[Verse 1]
Try
With a little bit of action
They don't build the world this way
It's alright
She lied
With the face of Cleopatra
The world ain't built this way
It's alright
[Chorus]
Now
I'm gonna go outside
Nothing's gonna save us
Nothing's gonna save us
My only dope calypso
My only dope calypso
My only dope calypso
That's alright
[Verse 2]
Wise
Like three men, they never got it
They keep death staring me down
I'm alright
Safe
So safe, they never asked us
The world ain't built this way
It's alright
I love this song so much and I really wish I could’ve seen them perform live a while ago. I live in Long Beach Ca come out here !!!
6/10/13 a day I'll never forget. I'd been nervously counting the days and hours until I could get my hands on this album. Weed, skate, party, music. All you need
Having been a teenager during the early 90’s grunge scene, this reminds me very much of the music during that time but of course with its own style and flare.
Keep up the graceful band play dudes. Yous are very balanced on note balancing and weights🎼

Vocalist is gorgeousssss

Me either!! I have heard their live show rocks. Can't wait to see for myself.
This reminds me a combination of Pixies and Blink 182. Good to see that grungy pop rock music is still being made
my comparisons exactly. (:
Smashing pumpkins also?
Harry Birkbeck apart from his resmblance to early 90s Billy Corgan, no. nothing to do with the pumpkins, whatsoever.
I was thinking Blink 182 and Sunny Day Real Estate
In pissed it took me this long to discover these guys. Freakin lovin it! Cheers from Tennessee!
These guys get better every album! Why they are so unheard of i'll never know.
Sadly I have tuned out from Radio station's plus do not get around to live music venues anymore I have missed out on these guys for how ever long now, I only came across their music a week ago I am a fan of what ever I have heard. +SincerelyAnonymousTV Yeah they are pretty mad. I love hearing that people from overseas loving bands that I would consider a local band, as they are from my hometown and it makes me feel proud.
This is one of their best songs.
Amen. Bands like VS and Wavves are incredible, so simple, but they've got an originality you can't easily find anywhere else

To me this song sounds like a mix between Smashing Pumpkins and Boxcar Racer/Blink-182, also the singer's voice reminds me of Tom Delonge

The bass line is, at times, very similar to Silversun Pickups' Lazy Eye, which is a little ironic given that VS absolutely crushed that song on Like a Version.
