With the train ride, the menu and entrance fees to the castle all included in the ticket price, this is a great deal!

An other little gem of Hidden Japanese History being opened up to the masses. The residences are so simple and offer a glimpse of what life actually was like for the Samurai's, not the flashy places seen on film. Now on to the modern day trip, the cost of the ticket was very economical since it combined the cost of several items that you could do with ease during a afternoon of leisure. I giggled when they served the cold Green Tea drink with a cardboard sleeve and served the hot coffe without a sleeve. I was surprised that when you were at the "second lunch" they didn't provide you with a protective pad to open that steaming hot pot of yummy vegetables to you. So on to the next hidden gem in Japan or wherever you go.

They're trying to get more money out of tourists, but in the case of Japan, it's usually good value for the money. It also simply provides more choices, so there's something for everyone, which is a good thing.

I try to watch your videos when I am enjoying a delicious meal, otherwise I end up eating something I didn’t really want just to satisfy my hunger. This one was loaded with !!s and definitely ignited my hunger. Japanese foods are so much more beautiful than American foods. There is more delicacy, more surprises, more interest in the overall experience of eating. You do an excellent job of conveying that feeling. Also, how can you be so humorous when you never speak? Thanks again for a wonderful travel adventure and ❤!!

Lovely day trip. That castle doesn't have to worry about storm surge or tidal wave. The Samurai houses must have been freezing in winter. Rice paper walls and tatami. I would have lived and slept in the kitchen. But what fuel for the fire? Hopefully they had nice silk clothing. Silk os warm.❤

21:06 the canal running down the middle of the street was for "daily water needs"? They got their water from the ditch in the middle of the road?! I wonder if horses were allowed on those roads...

The lunch they served you, looks like an off the shelf ekibento. Even if it tastes good, it looks like you take this train not only for the food, but for the experience it provides. So I'm not saying it's bad value, I'm just saying don't do it purely for the food nor purely for the train ride. It's the combination and the region that makes the experience. Overall it's probably a fun and novel experience, and you get to visit a beautiful castle at the end of it. I hope I'm making sense :)

"I'm ready to eat" 😂😂. I had on a train in Japan a great large Bento meal, but it had a small portion of the bitterest vegetable I have ever tasted. Truly foul. Can anyone tell me what that was? (I mean it was really terrible and I love Japanese food of all kinds).

Could it have been bitter melon? I have only seen them in cooking shows and such. I think they are green and kind of curly when cut into thin strips. I'm just guessing, tho.

I will be testing a GoPro bodycam later in 24/25, but I would like to know what rig you use. When you have a moment...
