For dairy alternatives I have tried a lot of different products but I highly recommend the Barista Oatly (it's the grey carton) as it creates a nice texture and has a smooth and ironically creamy taste. Try it yourself! The almond stuff? Not too keen. Soya? It's alright. But these other things tend to add a weird taste.
Just brought this from amazon today, £79.00, so excited to use tomorrow. Update: The charcoal version is now on sale as well, so I returned the copper version for the charcoal. Just made my first cup, it's amazing, worth the money.
I have just purchased the hotel chocolat velvetiser and I'm diabetic but love my hot chocolate, so if any one can advise me of a lower sugar one, that would be very much appreciated. The video is great, thanks for sharing.
Honestly? I'd get yourself some Green & Black's cocoa powder from the supermarket instead. If you're making it with all milk, the lactose in that is a natural sugar so offers up some sweetness - anything with an -ose is sugar: _glucose, fructose, lactose._ I've drunk G&B for years without sugar even when I don't make it with all milk, and I love it. Yes, G&B is more expensive, but I use less of it than Bournville etc, because it's more intense and you certainly wouldn't need six spoons of it. 😬
God the hotel chocolate flakes are expensive tho- Got it as a Christmas present and it’s so hard to pay for, I didn’t get my full 15% off for some reason
Would you say it’s worth buying if you were going to mainly be using with powdered hot chocolate if you were trying to save on calories ? Or just better off doing it with a kettle if your not using the proper sachets of flaked chocolate
Do those cups come with the Velvetiser!? I have just been very naughty and purchased one with Mint & Hazelnut Hot Chocolate, haven't had a good hot chocolate in years, so I am hoping they taste great.
You said “hot chocolate” at least 1000 times in this video. Great review though I didn’t know you could use the powdered stuff that’s gonna save me a lot of money!
@@emmylou4522 But the element is nowhere _near_ the powder or any liquid - I wonder why they'd say that? Other than to force you to buy their granules - like printer ink! 😂 How can a powder affect a spring coiled around a plastic stick - do they think our heads button up at the back or something? 😉
Hi I had one of these for Xmas but the lid doesn't seem to sit well I tried pushing it down in the middle but one side goes down and the other side is up
There’s also the fact it will also start to taste grainy…. That’s why instant is ground because people tend to use hotter liquids so by grinding it to a powder there is less likely for it to taste and feel grainy.
£8.00 for 350grams of ground hotel chocolate, what a con don't buy it folks get some galaxy or dairy milk for only £4.00 for 400grams + and then put the chocolate in the fridge and then in a blender or finely grate it
Very disappointed. Had this as a present so cant return. Drink was just about warm which I can now understand why mugs had no handles on. Ran it 3 times to heat up drink which was still not HOT enough to drink.

I bought my Velvetiser 2 years ago and honestly it’s hands down one of the best kitchen gadgets I own. Worth every penny!
It's amazing!

I agree I don't have one of these yet but I've tried several cows milk alternatives. The only one I like is oat milk. The nicest beings its not milk.
Have you tried the white chocolate with coconut? It’s actually so delicious! X
LOVED THE DEMONSTRATION MADE TO UNDERSTAND EASILY. THANK YOU❤

You're right, what a great deal!
Here's the deal for anyone who's interested - amzn.to/3dZAAzZ
Getting ready to open it up! Thanks for the tips.
There’s also a ridge on the plastic insert that’s handy for filling to the right level as the marks on the sides are a little hard to see

I’m thinking of getting my sister one for her birthday she loves hot chocolate and this is a great video and has helped me
Would love to see more recipes. Just got my velvetiser. Haven’t used it yet.
I read somewhere about not using powers as it’s not good for the whisk
Ive ordered a velvitiser machine tonight, thank you, your video has answered all my questions and thoughts! Can't wait for it to arrive x
Is there anywhere you can buy pick n mix hotel chocolate single satchets
Great video! Very informative and some great tips - thx very much 😊
Just ordered one. Great video. Thanks.
Is it possible to use Cocoa Powder unsweetened and how much is the quantity ?
Hello thank you. I'm so grateful for your help😊. Can you please make coffee in the velvetiser... thank you God's peace and blessings Stay safe Always
There is a milk fill line on the velvetiser so you don't need to pour it into the cups first 🤔
Hi did you say you can make coffee with it with water and coffee grains?
Yay!!! I'm getting this for Christmas! So excited now!!!
It's the best Paula, you'll love it!
I got one for Christmas it’s amazing
It really is!
I bought My Velvetiser about 6 weeks ago.I love it.I am interested in making a combination of flavours.
It's fabulous, isn't it!
So could u do same thing with a pan and whisk
Thank u for a great review
Def. Will be purchasing one
Can I make a horlicks drink in my velvetiser? also what other alternatives can I make in it.loved your video From Jean in Staffordshire
Ooh yes would like to know that?
Would like to see more velvetiser videos

It was so quiet during the whisking, I assumed you'd turned the sound down for us! 🤪

Stil worth it. I do low calorie options myself and the velvetiser gets the texture of the milk just right.
Loved this - thank you X
Oh! It works like my Aeroccino!
Chocolate with freshly chopped chilli 🌶 definitely worth a blend

Mine came with the two cups & I've not tried the Hazelnut yet but the mint is amazing! Enjoy it!
@@PlanningwithCrystal Thank you. I will let you know what I think :)
My absolute favourite is blackforest gateux
Great Demo can you make a mocha
Are there any coffee and chocolat flavours?
theres 14 different flavours from hotel chocolat
The caffe latte is amazing and they also do a chocolate latte 🙂
Thanks for this
Hi. Can you use Whittards hot chocolate in velvetiser? Thank you
You can, in fact you can use pretty much any hot chocolate powder or flakes in this machine.
You said “hot chocolate” at least 1000 times in this video. Great review though I didn’t know you could use the powdered stuff that’s gonna save me a lot of money!
🤣
Be careful using any powders in it or anything other than Hotel Chocolat flakes as it voids the warranty

I luv mine 🥰💗
One of the best things I've bought!
Pretty pricey but I’m honestly considering investing as I cant drink tea or coffee due to the caffeine cause I have a heart condition!!
Have you tried Yorkshire decaf?
Chocolate also contains caffeine
Hi I had one of these for Xmas but the lid doesn't seem to sit well I tried pushing it down in the middle but one side goes down and the other side is up
If it is faulty return it under the sales of goods act
If you heat chocolate past 70 you will start to get a burnt taste, that’s why they say the perfect hot chocolate is between 67/69
There’s also the fact it will also start to taste grainy…. That’s why instant is ground because people tend to use hotter liquids so by grinding it to a powder there is less likely for it to taste and feel grainy.
What happened with the good old pan and whisk? Heat the milk, throw in some chocolate pieces (lidl or aldi ones will do) and whisk the whole thing.
If people wan a low sugar , no fat alternative to chocolate - carob is perfect☺

Must be faulty
What looks like something you can do yourself I thought it would be thicker won’t be buying this rubbish , Nearly a 100 what a joke
Milk must come from a mammal
