- In this video I talk about how much it cost me to do the manual swap, it was under $1000AUD. I all so talk you through the basic process of removing the auto parts, installing the manual parts and the basic wiring to start. I have done a full break down video on how to, check the video out here - (Installation video - • HOW TO Manual Swap 350... )
WIRING - (Basic wiring) I show you how to wire the car so you are able to start the car without running the clutch safety switch. This is still using the auto wiring harness (5AT) and auto ECU. This wiring is for a 2003 350Z, you keep the speedo, but loose the reverse lights and cruise control.
WIRING GUIDE 2003 350Z:
Fuse box next to battery
Release the IPDM (Intelligent Power Distribution Module)
Go to plug E8
Cut pin 45 (Yellow with Red stripe, 2003 350Z)
Connect constant power to pin 45
WIRING IS DIFFERENT FOR OTHER YEARS.

cool! mate..you did a great job!
Thank you very much :)
Just a quick question, Great video it's going to help me with my conversion. But someone said to me when they did a conversion the speedo didn't work properly, coming from the auto to manual box? Did you have any issues like this?
I have no problem with my speedo still works.
Hi mate, I’ll do a manual swap for my z33 next week, have you swapped to manual ECU or keep using Auto Ecu? If you’re using auto ecu, does it work normal and have you feel any loss power with AT ecu after manual swap? Thanks mate
sorry for late reply. it was just the auto ECU with no problem. and still to this day got no problems
hey bro reading the comente after the swap you got any dash light like check engine at or abs? and if you got it did you got rid of the lights?
got a few lights on the dash. never did anything about them. the new owner of the car still has the lights on dash
What did you do about the diff ratio mate? The dunny doors auto diff ratio is different to the manual ratio, is the same for Z's?
Yeah different ratio. but wasnt that bad to drive.
What if you want the reverse lights ? Don’t care bout cruise control . Please reply I wanna do a manual swap on my 03 350
You can wire them in if you want. here is another comment from another person who wired reverse lights up " It’s very simple! All you have to do is remove the reverse light relay located in the fuse box at the battery cover and jump the terminals and wire it to your transmission reverse switch. Get yourself a reverse connector for the transmission and solder the jumper wires. No need to worry for any blown fuse because once connected properly the reverse light will be operated by the switch in the trans."
@@braydonkinnear appreciate for the reply !
Did you have any dash lights for the reverse lights being out or the cruise control not working
There are a two lights on the dash (ABS, Hand Brake) they where the only 2 I got from doing this swap.
Is it easy to get a manual transmission when you have and auto
Yeah real easy
@@braydonkinnear thank you 🙏
