Kraus is my favorite tenor. I've never heard such control, but the best part about his voice is the timber, so bright and powerful. AMAZING!

My professor has the same technique with this man. His technique not only supports natural voice production but also helps a lot with the pronunciation of words 🙂🙂🙂. Love this man right here

Not sure if this is mentioned below but in the music world Alfredo Kraus was well known for his dependability. While it's a cliche that some opera singers were known to cancel appearances, it was said that if Kraus were listed on the program, he would be there to sing....almost a guarantee. (He was the favorite of the senora in Madrid from whom a rented a room as a grad student. While cleaning the house she would play Kraus, Callas and others and sing along with them in fine voice! DEP dona Josefina.)

La lástima es que hay algunos que ya no pueden aprender, son irrecuperables. Escuchad las últimas cosas de Jonas Kaufmann. Su aria del cantante italiano, del Caballero de la Rosa en DVD, me dejó estupefacto. Simplemente no se le oye.
caray, no se puede comparar a pavarotti, placido domingo o jose carreras... cada quien tiene lo suyo, pavarotti tenia una tremenda voz dramatica. placido domingo igual pero lirica, jose carrera tenor lirico, alfredo kraus en cambio en mi opinion todas la musica de verdi o las arias le quedan de maravilla...todos son mejores alfredo krauss el mejor..
Kraus was both a major tenor talent and a master technician. He had masterly control and expression well into his later years WITH the vocal range of a great tenor. He is a different style and sound than Pav, Domingo or others and there is room for such a style. I think Florez has a similar sound and style and is hoping to have a career as long ans as accomplished as Kraus.
