Nice Cam. Congrats on the 992. What ever happened to the rebuild of your 991.1 turbo?
The rebuild was completed a few months ago, but after a week of driving the engine block cracked. I *think* it may have had some damage from the crash. Next months we're going to pull it apart and have a look (we'll do some videos on the tear down). But she'll be back!
Hold up. What happened to the 991 Turbo S? Did it get totaled in the end or did you get it back on the Road?
It was back on the road for a couple weeks and then the engine block cracked. I think there was more damage in the accident than we thought and some of it may have been engine related. I just finished up my performance shop so we'll be doing some build videos at some point soon.

How did the side intakes fit? Did you use glue for the installation?
No glue- the parts just pop in like the OEM intakes.
Death to black piano finish!!! This has to stop, your mod is definitely better looking. 3 years ago I specced my Merc with black ash instead of piano finish, couldn't be more happy. Will you be able to cover all the black plastic?
Once I had the parts on there I absolutely knew there was no going back. That black gloss finish is a nightmare so good call on the ash! I'll cover as much as I can! 👊🏼
Hey, man! I’ve been catching up on a lot of your custom install videos and I have a simple question. The aftermarket parts you install, are they as high quality as the oem Porsche parts? I ask because I love how none of my interior creaks or makes any noise. Can you advise?
The parts from MA Carbon and DB Carbon have been as good as the OEM parts, yes (in a lot of cases they ARE the OEM parts and have just been covered with carbon fiber). In my experience what typically causes the squeaks and rattles is when the car gets disassembled and reassembled incorrectly.
@@TheStockpile yeah, I love how how my cayman GTS does not have a single part where it resembles the quality of my previously owned 435i. Do they come with instruction packets or is it just the parts? (For either brand of course)

Hi, side air intake of DB carbon. Is it easy to replace?? can you tell me how to install side air intake?
They are pretty easy- they just pop off when you them away from the body of the car (although it's hard to explain). I don't see a good video about how to do it so I will try and make one in the future at some point.
Is the rear diffuser full carbon fibre?
It is and OEM piece and it's completely covered with carbon fiber.
How has it held up after a year?
Everything is perfect! Super happy w/ the additions.
@@TheStockpile thanks for replying. I was just concerned about the quality and mostly about it sitting too high above the buttons. I hate the piano black. It’s a scratch magnet.
Do it feel faster then your 991 turbo s with mods?
Good question-
I actually have VBOX data from all the cars / builds. The 991.1 Turbo S build was definitely a bit quicker (from a roll and looking at quarter mile trap speed). But the 992 Turbo S *feels* faster, and IS quicker 0-60 and blisters through the quarter at ten flat @ 139MPH (w/ 100 cell cats and a conservative tune for 91 octane). Porsche seriously crushed it with this car.
It’s a shame the db carbon quality is extremely poor. No quality control.
That has not been my typical experience.
