I’ve been watching all of these on repeat all year and I’m still rewinding multiple times for some of them. Most exciting and intriguing player I’ve seen in 41 years of being alive.

Me too brother. I've re-watched every shaedon highlight vid in existence multiple times. It's going to be a long off season for guys like you and me. But we will make it. Hopefully shaedon plays a ton of filmed pick up in the summer. Cause I can't wait for October

Really? He seems like an impressive vertical jumper but guys like Jalen Green and Ant showed a lot more self creation off the dribble talent at age 19. I don't see that in Sharpe. His move set is very basic. Most of his buckets are open space transition buckets.

He has D Wade defensive potential which real ones will know is like top 5-10 all time for non big men.
No one has ever been able to jump as high AND as quick as him, and he has a 7’ wing span. He uses that to put a great contest of every shot, because he guards guys with his chest, always balanced and ready to leap.
He was playing on rookie legs. Once he gets some man strength and can reallyyy sit down in a stance all game, it’s over for everyone in the league. He’ll be guarding up everyone and swatting their shots into the nosebleeds

Dude literally has a 15 minute highlight film out there from the first half of the season... in which he only averaged 15 mins a game. You could easily put together an hour of highlights for Shaedon on the season, he can score from all 4 levels if you count above the rim as a level.
Sharpe's got a mid range fade away that's nigh unstoppable, he's hitting 40+ % on 3's, some of them Dame style from 30+, besides all the lobs and the dunks he's got several beautiful reverse layups high off the glass, he can finger roll, he's a decent passer with upside, he was available for all but 2 games this season. Lot to like here. 'Air Canada' the second would be an apt description.

Mamba had way more refined scoring talent and wasn't just a vertical jumper who had a decent jump shot. Where is Sharpe's bag? I see none unlike with what I saw with 19 year old Ant or Green who had a way deeper bag of moves at the same age.

Remember when Andrew Wiggins was Maple Jordan?
I expect him to improve a lot tho. Completely agree not much in the bag yet but the shooting and finishing raw talent is what's gonna separate him from other pure leapers.

@@farhan007 Kobe also only played about 15 minutes a game his rookie season and didn't get on the floor scoring only 7.6ppg. Sharpe is taller and heavier than Edwards and Green, meaning those 2 should look a little quicker as smaller guards usually do. Sharpe has slightly more verticality than those guys and his shooting percentage is better than both Green and Ant in their rookie years. If Sharpe was on a team like those guys where he was able to start from day one he would be averaging 24ppg.

    • @farhan007
      @farhan007 Рік тому

@@pdxgolfpro you absolutely cannot compare shooting percentages between Sharpe vs Green/Ant.
Sharpe has the same unassisted rate on fgs made this season as Clint Capella, a lob threat, rim running big man which is at 33%.
Jalen Green his rookie year had 50% of his fgs made unassisted. Ant was at around 50% also his rookie season. Both jumped to 60% their sophmore year.
You can't compare the scoring efficiency of a off the dribble self creator to a role player who gets most of their buckets from open catch and shoot, open space transition and cuts to the rim.
Sharpe simply doesn't have the self creation talent of those two and it isn't even close. They are far more dynamic scorers who can do creative things besides straight line drives and a one two dribble pull up as your entire offensive bag.

Shaedon Sharpe is the reason I would trade Dame Lillard if im the Blazers. Trade Dame for high draft picks or great young players Sharpes and Simons age to build around them. Plus the 3rd pick the Blazers have who I hope is Scoot Henderson or Amen Thompson. Build around those 3 players plus whoever you get in the Lillard trade. They aint competing with Lillard but the could with Sharpe is their smart.

I'm in Portland so I stay away from dams trade talks. He does have connections and roots here in Portland but just basketball wise not considering family, kids, etc. I've been saying they should trade dame. Do the bill Belicheck and trade them a year too early rather than a year too late. Dame is great but he's past his prime or best case is still in his prime but at tail end. He's an undersized scoring guard who is only going to get slower and overall less athletic plus more durability issues as he ages. I just checked Shaedon age dude literally JUST turned 20.(may 30) makes me feel old and unaccomplished as I'm bout to be 24. I know it's only one year and still a lot to be determined but in a 2022 NBA redraft he goes 3rd(maybe 2nd depending on your projection for chet) ill just say 3 because chet hasn't played. Even then we'll see between him and Paolo. Paolo started from game 1 in a featured role while Shadeon was much lower on the portland totem pole. Only time will time but he seems legit. He gives me vibes of a skilled smooth composed player who just happens to have top 1 percent athleticism versus just an athlete that hoops.

Yah, it's going to be very interesting what way the Blazers go. Brandon Miller is exactly what the Blazers need and if it was Rockets, Pistons, Utah. They all would of taken Scoot at 2 but it had to be the shitty Hornets.... If it's Scoot at 3, I have no idea which way the Blazers should go. Double down with Dame or go rebuild/youth. Either way, Blazers need to bring in another wing/forward.
