- If you don't want to chat with someone anymore on Facebook Messenger all you have to do is remove or delete them. In this video, I walk you through steps you can take to delete someone from Messenger so you don't have to talk to them anymore and they don't show up when you open up the Messenger app. Messenger is tied to Facebook which means anyone on Messenger will show up if you're friends with them on Facebook. The way to remove them is to either block them on Facebook or block their calls and messages on Messenger. This, in essence, removes them from your app. If you just want to remove a conversation, you can always just swipe left on the conversation to delete it. This applies to both individual conversations and group chats. These steps work for both iPhone and Android devices.

This changed there are multiple list that are different from your actual FB list. Ex: sending a messange from you tube to someone on your lis. The youvtube messenger list should match my FB list it doesn't. I need some of thise names removed.

There are various conditions on how to delete people on messenger. for eg. business contact, non-friend etc. you can also block them from the main interface also.
@Chicken Nugget You can delete chat history but not people. Until Facebook gives an option, blocking is the only way. :(
I hate this method because it makes the people who are constantly stalking me aware that I blocked them, I want to remove them entirely and then block them, so they don't find any traces of me anymore.

When I went to the people icon only a few of my messengers came up. I have at lease 200 and when I clicked the people icon only 18 showed up. Where are the list of over 1 hundred and some change?
