This one was a bit out of my comfort zone - I'm not usually one that gravitates towards precision rifles, but I had so many requests for it, I wanted to cover it. Hope you guys enjoy. Once again, thanks for the support. Been humbling to see the growth of the channel. Will eventually be covering other stuff as well, but I will continue HD2 reviews for as long as I'm enjoying the game.
My build for this is: DCS for primary Grenade pistol for secondary Stun nades Light armor (honestly, any will do) And for stratagems I pick: I) Anti-material rifle 2) Jump pack 3) 500 kg bomb 4) Eagle Airstrike This build just shreds objectives and enemies alike, you can position yourself on high ground with the jump pack and drop anything that isn't a bile titan, a big turret or a factory strider. 500 kg and airstrikes for shredding bot factories/side objectives. Best thing about this build is that you're not left defenseless if the timer runs out, you still have stun nades + anti-material to take care of almost all automaton units.
counter is definitely a viable pick against bots, but you're better off with the dominator against bugs. Similar ammo count, but Jar hits a lot harder with knockback
My favorite primary, I like to pair it with the AMR and a supply backpack and just wipe out everything within a mile of my team and objectives. It’s honestly a surprisingly flexible loadout.
A video recommending the Diligence CS to people? Oh you have my full support good sir. I know it wasn’t good then, it I was using that thing prior to its major buff. It’s an incredible weapon now, and more need to be running it!
A great tip with this gun against the devastators if you’re not the best and since the scope is a little misaligned if you just shoot a shit ton of rounds around there ahead you will be able to smoke through them pretty quickly.
The scope offset is so puzzling - the only reason I didn't cover it in the video is it's wildly inconsistent. Plus, I am expecting it to be fixed in the next patch (probably next week) - so it's likely to be a non-issue soon enough. Still, there are times where I swear I'm getting a headshot and then other times where it works beautifully as intended.
@@WarriorVII yeah it’s pretty much a nonissue because literally if you shoot around four shots around the head of a berserker if you keep missing you knock one out. It is pretty funny how the eruptor gets nerfed and then this gun becomes a beast kind of crazy
I think the Eruptor will come back with a vengeance. The "nerf" was already confirmed to be sort of an accidental side effect to fixing a bug with how the shrapnel worked. I think it's glory will be restored soon enough.

i play w every weapon in the game frequently. they are all good if you can find their niche and where they fit in. but the diligence is the only gun i struggle to see its place other than a lvl 1 version of the CS. you acquire it first, and in a vaccuum, the gun is simply amazing. but when you unlock the CS, you unlock a fully upgraded diligence; a lvl 2 diligence if you will. and when you level a weapon up, you never down level your weapon, rendering the diligence at that point, useless. like i said, every gun has its place if youre creative enough and good at problem solving, but the diligence is simply a lvl 1 CS that needs to be upgraded. anyways, the CS is one of the best primaries in the game and i really love your cadence and scripts to your videos. if you keep making them, ill keep watching them.
This js my weapon of choice for bots. Nkt because its good at headshots, but because i usually run heavy armor and always seem to be 100m behind the rest of the squad. A lesser known tidbit abkut the dcs is that it has a very small sound profile meaning you can be up to 30m (i think) close to a group before they hear the shots. (Good for clearing poi without attracting that patrol nearby)
Nah, still prefer the Jar-5. DCS just doesn't bring enough to dethrone the Bolter. If I want to play sniper I take the AMR. Much more damage and ,oddly enough, much better handling than the DCS.
Gotta disagree in HMG 😄 I may spend nearly as long reloading as I do firing but for those sweet 75, 50.cal rounds of heavy pen fury. I feel like a god 🤣🤣🤣 Very (Very very) rarely I go high rpm when all hope is lost, dive backwards and just lie on my back and spray everything in front of me. It's actually staggering how much armour you can punch through in a few seconds! Love the AMR though, was my go to before HMG.
I personally prefer the AMR. I know it's not a primary but it's just a better version of the Counter Sniper. It does more damage, more armor penetration, you can shoot it rapid fire when needed, and it lets you use a primary weapon for close range encounters. Yeah it doesn't have any sights while aiming in third person, but the barrel of it is so long that I find myself just using that as my "crosshair" to shoot accurately at enemies when they get close
i like to carry both! diligence for the little bots and devastators when i have time to aim carefully, AMR for when i need to take out a hulk, tank, or if things get too hairy and i need to reliably two tap devastators without carefully aiming shots.
@@MrApol I personally pair it with the Pummeller SMG. That way I can keep my distance and kill with the AMR if any bots or bugs get to close. Plus it's super good against Chargers and Stalkers/Hunters in a team match
even though both of the marksman rifles recently got buff, I still think they are in desperate need for more. I think the CS should be delivering at least 200-225 damage and have a 20 round mag, while the standard diligence should be dealing at least 150-175 and be given a 25 round magazine.
Theres simply no point for the regular deligence to exist. The extra damage wont amount to much without higher pen, which the CS has. Its not even really a side grade either because being to body shot chaffs while having a better scope makes the CS that much better. In the best scenario where all ballistic weapons get a better penetration stat, we might argue that the deligence offers similar performance on medium mobs compared to CS while having a bigger mag and reserve, but cannot reliably body shot trash enemies. But thats if they actually go down that route. Also wtf is up with the sight in this game. I refuse to believe that in the future were actually regressed and made scopes harder to see through.
Basically you are asking that they be like the antimaterial rifle but in primary weapon, as silly as asking that the assault rifle be like the minigun. The Counter Sniper is in a very good place, kills of a single precise shooting everything, although the normal version should have burst mode or something because there is no reason to use it, those 5 extra bullets are not noticed when you need two shots to do the same as the Counter Sniper with one shot.

They have the same ammo capacity, but the dominator does nearly twice as much damage, inflicts explosive damage, and it has stagger. And in their current states, the CS makes the standard diligence completely obsolete. I mean, the standard diligence has the same armor penetration as the standard pistol. That's a problem.

The CS absolutely DOMINATES small troopers way better than the dominator due to superior handling and bullet velocity, especially at longer range. It DOMINATES devastators if you have a smidgen of good aim. I can kill like 7+ devastators in 1 mag. The CS has a MUCH faster reload speed. Sure it doesn't stagger, but if it did it would be completely broken. It's a mid-long range skill canon. It's better than the dominator in many aspects against automatons and I easily use it against lvl7-9 automatons. Terminids it's shit though.
In the right hands this gun is a monster. It was decent before the buffs albeit hard to learn, but now Its much easier to use. Nothing feels better than getting to support your squad from 150-200m away. Being able to wipe out entire patrols on its own as well as destroy all the gunners on those pesky bot base turrets. Its a different play style from the typical shotgun play most people use but its worth it.
It's got slightly more rounds and still has the better handling. Gives it better flexibility against bigger groups of small enemies. Think both are decent now tbf

Like alot of the weapons just offer you the ability to go down a niche or have a slightly more "flex" variant. I'm not saying diligence is horde clear by any stretch. But extra rounds and better handling do allow you to deal with groups slightly better.
I have anger issues when things im trying to do are out of my control. Like being juggled in a 2d fighting game, or being stunlocked to death and most other games. Trying to land headshots in a game where the gun has a natrual ways and drag, its like im trying to punch while underwater. The physics of the world just dont allow it. and it pisses me off. Its like trying to play a platformer with loose controls and every level is an ice level.
One of the things that piss me off to no end is Heavy devastators landing shots after shots from hundreds of meters away... if there is like 3 + 3 rocket devastators you can't even peek and shoot because they can keep shooting infinitely.
Yeah that's if you don't factor in armour pen. That 12k damage can go through almost anything. The shotguns damage drops significantly if it hits anything more than paper mache.
@@zapmando dominator is a good gun, but you aren't hitting targets like the CS with that handling or scope. What people need to realise is there is no ONE right primary. You need to match you primary to the rest of your kit. If you have a support that's good at medium armour and has decent capacity like MG or HMG, AC do you need a primary that fills that role aswell? Could your primary not fill another role? Then you can take senator and impacts, plenty of medium punch. Fact of the matter is no one can tell anyone which guns "work". Everyone is different plays the game different approaches it different. I don't even understand when we have orbital rail canons, sentry and autocanons etc. Why everyone is so hung up on a primary. You have so much firepower at you disposal. The primary really should just plug a gap, full a role. It's never going to do everything.
"Goes down in 5 headhshots" Brood commanders still attack with its head off, but the video is cut too short. A SNIPER RIFLE should be able to blast that thing lifeless in 3 headshots, and one shot hunters and knights. This is the STRONGEST primary sniper? Nah
Against one of the strongest none heavy units? You don't really want snipers and marksman rifles against the bugs anyway. They don't do splash damage or have big mags. Double whammy for bugs
The Jar 5 bullet travel is much slower, has no scope options, and thus far less range. If you're using both like a shotgun, then yes, the Jar 5 is better. But clearly a DMR shouldn't be used like a shotgun.

So the rifle carries a total of 12k damage, all shotguns are carrying like 25k or more and have larger mags. It's wierd
good luck getting 25k damage from a shotgun outside melee range!
