Checking this out right now, as I’ve recently won a bottle on The Bearded Respect’s Thursday night stream. I went with Smoke & Moss. Super impressed with the packaging and labeling. That faux book that you received was beautiful! I cannot wait to try this company out ASAP!
Excellent Review. My brother got me into beard care last March on my bday. We we speaking and then he showed me EB and gave me a sample peppermint cederwood and a balsam eclipse balm. My life changed at that point I made an order of bergamot & grapefruit, and my beard is healthy it feels and smells great all day and most of all out of every other company I’ve used this one seems to give my beard a much thicker look almost fluffy. I use another Canadian company called The beard struggle in Vancouver BC as well and to me it’s hard to compare because they both have done wonders for my beard but I will always support EB great products great company and support our Canadian forces Veterans!
Been purchasing their products for 3 years and seriously it’s amazing. Prices are fair, service is way above average compared to other competitors! Yes I had a some sort a favouritism being a Veteran also but seriously their products are amazing!!
Balsam Eclipse sounds like the perfect winter scent. Going to have to give it a try. Christmas is one of my favorite time of the year and I love the smell of a fresh tree in the house.
I’ve been using educated beards since July 2019. Since then, I’ve tried other products, some really good products, however I’ve always returned to using educated beards. Although it is a premium price, the feeling, beard control, and confidence I get from using their product, it’s well worth it. Knowing that they are using premium ingredients and protect you from potentially harmful chemicals, it’s well worth it. My favorite is Peppermint and Cedarwood. That crisp smell is like coffee for my face! When I work it into my skin and beard right after a shower, the smell just boosts those mood receptors and its a great way to start the day. Great review Mr Dan C!
I judge all beard companies now on whether they sell beard butter. If they don't it makes me feel like they don't know what they're doing. I don't think any Canadian beard company does sadly..
@@vikingrbeerdserkr8406 Many companies don't make beard butters but I don't feel it's an indication of their level of knowledge in making products. Pretty pointless to sell a product that isn't in as high of demand and doesn't make good business sense. That presentation is really really nice. Stuff like that draws me in big time and its nice to know that they have quality product along with the presentation.
I'm really glad you made this review, Dan. As a Canadian, I'm looking forward to trying their products. Most of the companies you review and most of the companies making good products out there are American. I've ordered from a few that you've recommended before, but - and I'm looking at a receipt from one of those orders just now - I've paid $20 for beard oil, $22 for beard conditioner, and $28 (!!!) in shipping. Had I not bought two items and just the oil, the shipping would have been more than the order. The shipping prices are prohibitive bordering on absurd - it's just what that costs, I guess. $33 is higher than you'd expect to pay for beard oil, but if I can get this stuff around that price from a local store, it's better than the drugstore stuff and I absolutely save money compared to American alternatives when shipping is included.
I see Canadian company and have to check this one out haha. Happy with how much you love this Canadian brand. Never heard of them before but as you and I both know I haven't been looking up beard products too lol Awesome review Dan!
I live near Ottawa in Canada and have been using EB products exclusively for over 2 years now. Bergamot Grapefruit is my favourite scent. Their products are amazing and the customer service is fantastic. Well priced products in my opinion.
I mainly use the Balsam Eclipse scented products and I sometimes mix it with the free peppermint cedarwood oil (just happens to be the same sample when I order) and the smell is awesome. Also a big plus is that I have family members so allergic to smells and these products don't give them any troubles at all! Again really great products.

Great video Dan! I was curious to know your thoughts on the Lush Cosmetics Kalamazoo Beard and Face wash. Do you have any experience with it? What have you heard about it? Good? Bad?
It’s a great product! Only things to consider is that it’s water based and all natural, meaning it has a very short shelf life in your shower. Don’t baby it because it will go bad. And that it is expensive
@@DanCBearded would you say it's safe to use daily?
@@FREEM1ND yup!
@@DanCBearded excellent! Thanks!
Do you mind trying some more Australian brands
ua-cam.com/video/jO-Lu8E40YM/v-deo.html is the only one I have enjoyed. I will keep you posted as I try more though!
Hey Dan C can you make a video on can beard oil be use in head hair?
All quality beard oils can 🤝
I seen oils at $50 & up. Tom Ford has a beard oil that's like $80. So $33 is on the cheap side of expensive IMO
Right! There are some wildly expensive oils out there
Thanks for the support! Really appreciate it 🙏🙏
I’ve used EB for a couple years… don’t even bother buying anything else since using them.
That is awesome!
Appreciate your continued support! Thank you so much!!🙏🙏🙏🥰
Given that they sell their products as part of a kit are they really that expensive, what are the prices for separate items or are they sold that way?
They are expensive as well. For their prices, you save with the book compared to all items added up.
$33.00 fir an oil thats steep Dan
No doubt about it. One of the most expensive
I legit thought that was one giant book for a second...threw me off when you opened it up to reveal a box. But those prices... woohoo I'm gonna have to pass!
It is a super cool book and will be staying in the collection!
Dan have you ever looked at "The beard struggle" which is also a Canadian beard company? I would love your thoughts on them.
The single most disgraceful company I have ever personally interacted with. Literally my last recommendation.
@@DanCBearded Wow.. that's pretty sad thanks for the quick reply and I really appreciate your honesty. The only other Canadian company I have tried and started out with is Urban Beard. Have you ever checked them out? I will absolutely be giving educated beard a check out I too love both grapefruit and bergamot so I am excited to give that oil a try.
Thanks so much Chris! If you need any help at all send us a message or call our toll free number 😊 🥰🥰
I have not tried or heard of that one, but thanks for putting them on the radar!
@@drtns Urban Beard, love their beard cleanser
Before I watch the video I had to check their site. And of course, typical Canadian bear oil company still behind In the times by not offering beard butter, only balm...
Stay tuned! They are currently working on some. That was a big suggestion of mine
@@DanCBearded right on brutha. You always got our backs(beards) 🙌 Unfortunately they're branding and scents just don't appeal to me. Plus even as a Canadian I wouldn't be saving by using them over an American company.
@@vikingrbeerdserkr8406 absolutely, I totally hear you!
Different beard communities prefer different products. Most still prefer balm
You are right though, not many Canadian beard products companies offer beard butter
Have you tried baarden? What other companies do you recommend? Thanks
I haven't tried Baarden yet or many other Canadian companies. That's why I never say "the best in Canada", but rather my best experience. I have tried and liked God of War and Nickel City, both out of Canada.
@@DanCBearded thanks for your input, just trying to support some local Canadians ahhaha.
G.S.R. Where in Canada are you?
@@JAinMorocco sorry thought I replied earlier, lower mainland BC
I'm interested to try these guys after the review and the comments, but it'll take me a while to pull the trigger on a $30+ beard oil.
Thanks Ken, appreciate the consideration. Let us know if you have any questions. Always here to help 😊
I appreciate you Ken! Thanks for always watching and commenting!
Trusted one
Happy Friday Ron!
Best Canadian company is easily Baarden so far in my experience.
Thanks Jeff! Have you personally tried educated beards?
@@DanCBearded I have not. But I will give them a try after this review. After trying Artius Man, Detroit Grooming, Kingsmen and others out of the US, I finally found a great Canadian company with Baarden and have been going to them for about a year now. It would be great to have two go to companies here. I will say though, the price is a bit much. Lol
@@001spring well then it’s really not a fair comment. You could say it’s the best Canadian experience you have had, but to essentially counter a video by saying another company is best… that lacks experience and perspective.
@@DanCBearded Did an edit. Is that better? 🙄 I hope you get to review Baarden at some point. I'm curious to see what you think.
@@001spring haha beautiful!
Interesting. It looks impressive but honestly I can't see myself spending that much on an oil. Dan have you tried Baarden? They're a pretty good Canadian company and cost half the price.
I have not. I hope they reach out this year! The owner has always seemed distant from this channel, for whatever reason.
welcome to my world Dan C
another good canadian product, BAWS BEARD made in my county Québec.
Very cool!
Their product ingredient list does not justify their high prices.
That was my thought. Jojoba, argan and grapeseed for that price... Very meh in my opinion. We're both obviously Canadian. Happy to support Canada but...
@@stephenbayley1441 Yup. Hard to support at that price point.
I mean I totally get it, but if you factor in the shipping and duty fees to order from the US, it's honestly not that bad considering if you order more than one oil it's free shipping. But yeah I get that they are very basic carrier oils.
I appreciate the feedback!
@@noahgeen8465 USMCA or in Canada known as CUSMA, is the trade agreement, if you register products and prove they are made In Canada, USA it is duty free this also apply to orders under $800 no duty.

Hey brotha!
😁🤟
The GOLD!
Hey Dan, have a question for you. What is your take on lavender oil and grapefruit oil? You’ve sold me on this company and I really want to grab it but I heard lavender and grapefruit oil might be a little harsh on your beard.
Love those oils!
