Hey there, friends! Today we're looking at Pink Floyd's classic BREATHE, played on an acoustic guitar. I'll teach things as Pink Floyd plays them - but also include a ton of handy tips for simplifying the chord shapes, riffs, and strumming patterns. This will let you play the song in a way that suits your skill level perfectly, whether you're earlier along in your guitar journey or a bit more experienced. Remember, hit the play button when the lion roars for the third time 😜

Thank you, David! More Pink Floyd, please!
Great tip for the hendrix chord etc! I can do the progression but this method is quicker, easier, and sounds the same to me.
Yes …. More Pink Floyd PLEASE!!!!
Dude. I've been playing for years (self taught mostly) but never learned covers unless i learned by ear. You are THE best teacher I have seen yet. So broken down in such a learnable way for all skill levels. Great job man.
Great lesson!! I’ve learned so much from David over the last couple of years, I highly recommend joining, the song sheets are comprehensive easy to follow and great value. I now have a repertoire of songs which I can play well.
Most interesting and pleasing peace on utube I have ever seen. Tkx for this I feel I can do this being just pass a beginner. Please never stop.
I always find a gem or two in David's interpretation of whatever song he is showcasing, and Breathe is no exception - got a couple of things to add into my own version of playing this acoustic and solo. Great work, as always, and thanks!
So good. Great job. Thank you.
Awesome! I know what I’ll be working on this week. Would definitely like more lessons like this.
This is awesome David thanks! I’ll be heading over to the full lesson today. Such a great song. Thank you! Diana
For the past few years I've been working on adapting the whole album to a 3 string cigar box guitar tuned GDg (at least thise tracks that have adaptable parts! 😆) ... Breathe, Us and Them and Eclipse are my favorites!! I'm definitely going to use your chords and riffs!!
This was an amazing lesson. one of the best. Happy supporting you as well.
OK, that was AWESOME !!!
Thank you very much for the tutorial! It was so good explained. I learned it pretty fast ❤
Dude! That was such a helpful video! Thanks man! Very fun.
That was so awesome, great lesson
Love this, so accessible thank-you !!!
Hey man, really great tutorials! I’m a little more advanced as far as the different phrasings you went over. But it was all very helpful for contexts, easy to follow. Immediately subscribed. Look forward to exploring what else you got!
Just thinking of learning to his yesterday! Thanks!😀
This is so chilled.❤
Can't wait to get to this!
That sounds awesome!
Great lesson David … you are getting too good at this, which keeps me coming back!
Loving this
Thanks for the lesson. I’ll have to give the A options along the neck a try.🤜🤜🎸
That’s is totally awesome 👏
Thank you.... keep Doing it... I'll buy from you
David! I have learned 3 COMPLETE songs by watching your videos and purchasing your song notes. Would you consider doing a video and song notes on Your Still The Same by Bob Seger?
Magic
Super like 👌👌👌
David 🙂
Thanks
Please take a look at teaching 'Time' by Pink Floyd in the future 🙏
Nice 🎶🎶🎶
That's my favorite off the Dark Side of the Moon
Wonderful lesson David. Not a song I ever pictured myself being able to play but…. watching your lesson and walking thru the chords, I may be able to at least play some some of it!
One thing I couldn’t get right was the A7 up the neck voicings (page 3) using your suggested fingers. What I found worked for me was LI and LM for the A7, then moving LM up to 3 and bringing in LR on 4, then back to LI and LM for frets 5 and 7.
Maybe that will help someone else with the same mental block as I had?
Finally a guitar lesson without someone trying to force singing into it over the actual guitar playing
Hi David, the song is not available on Musicnotes?
What if we have problems with bar chords?
Practice more 😁
Play with the bar chord and in a week it will start ringing out or less usually. Learn a song that has a lot of bar chords and play it everyday even if it sounds like junk
Stairway to heaven?
Fantastic lesson!
