was 6 when this series debuted in 1976.I loved the theme song. All of these women were very beautiful.I remember seeing Farah Fawcett's famous poster photo with the southwestern background.I remember every angel and I watched the show until 1981 when it ended.I was 11 years old. I grew up watching them.❤❤❤
Season one. One of the best original theme songs of all time. Beautiful orchestration. Dramatic. Heart pounding. Memorable and melodic. Perfection.

Funny thing about this one-- in the beginning, all the Angels were Southerners (Fawcett-Majors and Smith were Texans, from Corpus Christi and Houston respectively, and Jackson was from Birmingham, AL). Later, they added a Midwesterner (Ladd, from South Dakota), and two New Yorkers (Roberts and Hack, from NYC and White Plains [in the NYC area] respectively).

Trivia:
In 1977, MAD published a magazine and parodies the tv series Charlie Angels titled Churlie's Angles which assembles caricatures of the original stars from the show.
In a 1978 episode of The Benny Hill Show, the episode is titled Archie's Angels.
In the 1993 Super Secret Squirrel episode titled Agent Penny, the title card resembles Morocco Mole, Penny, and Secret Squirrel doing the angel pose.
In the 1997 episode of Dexter's Laboratory titled G.I.R.L. Squad, the title card resembles Dee Dee and her friends doing the angel pose and it parodies the whole episode from the 1976-1981 series.
In the 1997 Johnny Bravo episode titled Johnny Bravo Meets Farrah Fawcett, the title card of the angel pose resembles Farrah, Suzy, and Johnny. Fawcett guests star as herself at Suzy's birthday party. She also voiced the old woman.
In 2001 on Cartoon Network UK, the promo of the Powerpuff Girls parodies the opening sequence of Charlie's Angels.
In the 2001 film Scary Movie 2, the scene parodies the tv series but with a scary twist.
From 2000 to 2003, Cartoon Cartoon Fridays had an animation for Ed, Edd and Eddy doing the angel pose.
In the 2009 Boomerang Europe promo, the silhouette at the end features Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma doing the Angel Pose.
In the 2010 Phineas and Ferb episode titled Phineas and Ferb-Busters, Candace, Stacy and Jenny do the angel pose at the end.
In the 2011 episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse titled The Go-Getters, it parodies the classic TV series but in an educational setting.
In the 2014 episode of Steven Universe episode titled Secret Team, it parodies the original 1976-1980 series and there was a promotional poster featuring Steven, Garnet, and Pearl doing the Angel Pose.
In the 2015 Christmas edition of Cake Wars, the team is called Santa's Angels, a reference to Charlie's Angels.
In 2019, MeTV had a promo parodying the angel pose of The Flintstones along with the Charlie's Angels theme song for promoting The Flintstones and Charlie's Angels on Weekdays.

Absolutely loved this series. This video made me realize that Kate Jackson was the tallest of the 3 Angels. She was replaced by Shelly Hack who was now the tallest of the 3 Angels. She was replaced by Tanya Roberts who then became the tallest of the 3 Angels. 😀

I like the three original angels Kate Jackson aka Sabrina Bree Duncan, Farrah Fawcett-Majors aka Jill Munroe, Jaclyn Smith aka Kelly Garrett, it only lasted a one season but those three angels rocked! I like Cheryl Ladd aka Chris Munroe *the replacement relative" but often wondered what the show would have been like if Farrah Fawcett-Majors and Kate Jackson had stayed for the full series. Though Kate Jackson did get another series I liked Scarecrow and Mrs. King.
I always liked the Kate, Cheryl, and Jaclyn combo -- even as a kid, I thought Farrah was not a great actor (guess she improved by the time she was doing dramatic TV movies in the '80s, b/c she received accolades for a couple of those, like The Burning Bed), and I wasn't attracted to her. Kinda dug Shelley Hack too!

@@dixienormous6969 Heh. Yeah, it's true. She's got a great smile, and, by all accounts, was a really nice person, but I wasn't attracted to her even a little. With one exception, I recall my friends finding the other Angels more attractive too (one buddy WAS into Farrah tho'; had the famous poster in his room and everything).

I would have liked it if Tiffany Welles and Julie Rogers stayed since they bring unique elements and dynamics especially Tanya Roberts since she fullfils what Aaron and Leonard had idealized the Angels from the start, the athletic blonde, the instinctive brunette and the spunky redhead. Too bad low ratings got in the way and like what the song says all things must pass. Oh well it is what it is.🤷♂️🤷

I know Farrah Fawcett was the Angel that made most men drool but I always thought Jaclyn Smith was more gorgeous. The way she put on that hat....Damn !

Agree! Super gorgeous! I was 7 y.o. boy back then and knew I wanted to marry Jaclyn Smith. Coincidentally 30 years later I ended marrying a girl who looks like j.s! . Wow did i get lucky!
If people are sad that Farrah, Tanya, David, and John are not still with us, it will break your hearts reading how many of the show's guest stars are as well. Only the two way tie of *_Fantasy Island_* and *_The Love Boat_* , both of which shared being on the BEST Saturday night line up of all time with *_Charlie's Angels_* , have hire numbers of that.

If you watch the new Charlie's Angels (2020) movie, Kelly is now "Charlie" and CEO of the Townsend Agency. It's the only thing I liked in an otherwise very horrid movie.

Never saw this when it first aired but my brother used to watch it. I was watching something on the other channel (BBC).
I saw them all 2/3 years back when they were repeated here but some of the stories were weak and a lot were repetitive. I guess they ran out of ideas in the end.

No one ever watched it for the stories.😆 Women watched it for the Woman Power aspect and the glamour, girls for the aspirational qualities, men and boys b/c....well, we know why they watched.

Saw a review which described the series simply: Seven boobs, including Bosley.
That said, I had a MAJOR crush on Jaclyn Smith, which made "The Seance," a first season episode in which Kelly was hypnotized, a guilty favorite. She wound up being the only Angel to stick around for the entire series.
You know, I never realized how condescending the intro truly was. "Once upon a time, there were three little girls...." The last season (with Tanya Roberts) really threw off the rhythm, though, since Julie never attended the police academy so I had no idea why Charlie picked her (I had stopped watching the series by then).

I agree w/you, but I think the intent of the "Three Little Girls" thing was just a riff on old fairy tales -- like "Three little pigs" or "three bears" or whatever. I don't think it was meant to be condescending so much as just supporting the "Once upon a time..." thing.

@@W81Researcher Yep. Which was a departure since usually this kind of show would have the really muscular alpha male, and Bosley was anything but. He was really kind of the comic relief of the show, but he usually helped out in a pinch.
Giving the show every benefit of the doubt, when any of the "girls" got in trouble, either she got herself out or another Angel would come to the rescue.
As a young boy I was in love with Kate Jackson. Now it's been decades and I'm still in love with Kate Jackson.❤ I think it's the strangest thing.O' sh*t Tanya Roberts was a really crappy actor but maaaan was she hot!🔥

It actually has been released on Blu-Ray in 2019 by Mill Creek Entertainment.
